This is an amazing store with so many great products. There are many different areas to explore, that you could get lost in. It is very clean and easy to walk through. The Soda selection is on par with B.A. Sweeties (yet THOROUGHLY disappointed there was no 'Moxie' soda, I mean C'mon Lehman's! I bought a soft knife for cutting soft cheese. I moved and used it for the first time with family and the tip broke off. I reached out to Lehmans today and explained to them that I believe this knife is defective.That has never happened with any knives that I have bought before with any company. I asked them if they would replace it, I did not want my money back. I thought perhaps it was just a defect and I would try another one. To my dismay they refused. You can get lost in there! This store has so many unique items. The store is somewhat divided in to sections so as you walk through different rooms. A lot of old fashioned style new products. This store seriously has everything. I was here for the Amish country self-guided chocolate tour and they gave us these cute little tractor-shaped chocolates. Also included was a $5 coupon, so of course I bought a few small things I was kind of tired by the time I made it here, and was nearing the end of my day, so I wasn't really in the mood to shop too much, but there really is something for everyone here. A nice, old-fashioned general store in Amish country. If you come on the weekend's you'll have to fight for parking! I guess it didn't help that I visited the same day as a car show going on. The inside of the store was neat and had a little bit of everything. My favorite section is of the old-fashioned glass bottles of pop. I like going to Lehman's! They have a bunch of stuff that the whole family will love. I bought all my mason jars here! But the down side is that the customer service is so bad!!! The cashiers are always zombies and they didn't greet us at the door. It was like they were staring into space ignoring my family and I. They knew we walked in. loved this hardware store. there's something for everyone. we went to see the wood carvings, it was our second trip here. We had more than enough time to spend this time. I enjoyed the garden area, the restaurant is new, and there is a woman at the fudge counter that was extremely helpful. She gave us a map, helped with 'local' knowledge. Enjoyed her sooo much. I love taking a road trip to this store. I can spend hours going through it. I love the cookie cutters. They sell a wood cleaner that's great. My favorite vegetable peeler (I hand them out at Christmas). Freaking bells, jingle bells, cow bells. Beautiful oven that I can dream about someday owning. Pocket knives, they have em. This store's e-business is a SCAM ! They sell you stuff that is not even in their inventory and when you inquire about the status of your order their pre-scripted answer is : 'We don't know when it will be back stock'. In my case, I am stuck waiting who knows how long for half my order because I purchased a Lodge cast iron pan TWO months ago and they shipped the lid but not the pan. Hadn't been here for years, and they have definitely expanded. Used to be more like a hardware store; now it's more of a big gift shop. They still have a little hardware, and lots of old-style stoves, etc., along with the kitchen items they always had. Now, there are more toys, books, clothes, and food, including a huge selection of root beer and unusual pop. Some of the prices are high, but then there are things you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else. For example, they have lots of accessories for oil lamps, so I'll need to see exactly what my grandparents' lamps need. Apparently there's a clearance store out back; we didn't have time to check it out. Allow an hour or two; there's a lot to see. read more

I made a web order back in June, and I understand there are COVID-19 related delays, but I cannot find any information on my order anywhere on the website. I received part of it just fine, but have no order confirmation except my payment confirmation and two emails from them, one telling me to reply to cancel the order and another telling me if I don't reply the order will be cancelled. Such a great, quirky Amish hardware. I have been here before but finally took the time to see everything. Walking through the store you are looking in every direction. Even has a cafe inside for food and drinks. Grabbed a side of sweet carrots and mac & cheese while we sat down for a few minutes. The food items and kitchen items were my favorite. Seen many toys from my childhood. Really enjoyed the little jail and the wood carvings from local artist, Paul Weaver. The lady at the cafe was really nice but the other employees we encountered either did not smile or recognize patrons or like the cashier, employee #002036, according to my receipt, who was snippy and snarky when we asked her a question. I suggest the employees brighten up a little bit since they have so many people visiting the store every day. If they didn't have the tourists, they wouldn't have this huge location open. read more

This place is huge. You need a map to get around. It is also more than one story. They have more than just hardware. It is the type of places you just need to go to see all they have. When I was there they had just one room for picture carvings. I do not think it is always there, but there is till plenty to buy and see. I thought that since they were going to buy these directly from them and the Amish do not have a direct means to order from them that this would be a great way to give back. Unfortunately, we didn't spend much time here as at least 35% of the customers weren't wearing masks even though a sign on the door said they were required. I spoke with a woman at the customer service desk about this and she said that they can't enforce mask wearing. I think she doesn't know the difference between "can't" and "won't ". I purchased Bayberry Fragrance oil on September 14. Upon receiving my item it didn't smell like bayberry (bayberry is floral smell) it smelled like cinnamon with a twist of cold medicine. I asked to return the item for refund. They sent the link for return label. The item was received on September 29 (within 30days as stated on website) no refund. I emailed on Oct 5 asking for a status on my refund; no reply. I called October 6 and the lady stated they weren't sure if I wanted a refund. I said yes I want a refund. She said it would appear the next day. No refund. I opened a dispute with PayPal and Lehman offered a partial refund. No where on there return policy states I would get a partial refund. I finally got a refund November 10 but it's partial. I paid 15.94 and the refund was 9.95. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE. I followed there policy for return and they scammed me of 5.99. Bad business practice... UPDATE: Glenda E, it was your return department that stated "refund could not be issued until my dispute was closed with PayPal". PayPal didn't make a decision nor did they suggest a refund amount. Your company did. So, the problem is with Lehman. I purchased the wooden mug tree for my wife for Christmas this year (2021). When she unwrapped it, she didn't like it, felt it was too antique. Today I called to get a return slip, not only was the tree expensive ($56.99) I also had to pay shipping which was over $17.00. I was told I had to pay for the return shipping because it wasn't broke or had a manufacture defect. Surprise!! If you don't like something the return shipping is on you. If you're buying a gift, you don't know until the person you are buying it for opens it to know if they will like it or not. So, your return policy stinks!! Also, the workmanship of the wooden mug tree was poor to say the least. When the lathe work is sloppy, chips and chunks of wood are knock off. That's a manufactured defect. I've bought here once.
