After camping there for 16 years they wouldn't renew my lease. When asked why, I was told I am bad for "his" business. I follow the rules and never had a warning. Just kicked out! I tried to get along with people and John the owner just never liked me. After losing my husband this year he said we were ok. Now he wants me gone because I been bad for business for years? This is the type of business owner who has no customer service put his feelings over good business pratice. Good luck John and anybody who decides to camp there! read more

we camped at Lei Ti for almost 20 years, and the first 10 years, it was by far the best campground in WNY, but it changed drastically the past 8-10 years. they have a creepy security guy that follows girls, stalks them on their own site, drives like a maniac through the park at night with his lights off, swears at little kids! the management/owners are nasty, rude people, and if you have problems, they won't try to remedy them, they tell you, "if you don't like it, leave"...best decision we made was to leave, and numerous long time campers have followed suit! We came for a two night stay to visit family who have a seasonal spot. This campground has very limited spots for those that are just visiting and the spots appear as though they were originally slotted as a gravel parking lot that now have hookups installed. We were close to the front of the campground, wide open to all the passers by. Many of the seasonal spots are tucked back with lots of space and the real feel of a getaway if you decorate and furnish appropriately. My kids are youngish and enjoy activities like hiking, fishing, playgrounds, mini golf and beaches. This campground had all of this and more. We didn't have any staff interaction but the other campers were all very friendly and the place had a friendly neighborhood vibe. My single complaint comes as a parent to younger kids.. there were A LOT of teenagers who hang out in the woods near the large playground so I wasn't ever comfortable letting my kids walk the visible distance from our camper to the playground. Probably fine to some but I would like to keep my kids sheltered from certain information and language as long as I can. Luckily my kids were oblivious. read more

I was a seasonal at Lei-Ti for 15 years. It was a great place for my son to spend his summers. Now you have rude staff and a security guard that can have you kicked out just on his word. Forget about a refund. Not one of my neighbors complained for us sitting up late by a fire. If your looking for a retirement community, this campground is perfect. read more

We visited for a weekend this summer as our friends parents have an RV that they keep there all year. This was my first experience camping in an RV, although I have been to various campgrounds tent camping in the past. This was a very large place. Our friends had a golf cart that we used to get around, you certainly could walk, but it definitely seemed like most people had a golf cart. When we were there they were even still decorated for the 4th of July, where I hear they had had a parade of sorts. We were there the weekend after the 4th of July and they had a cornhole tournament and a big fireworks display for the whole community to enjoy. From my friends we hear that they had a lot of events like this, pretty much every weekend has a theme and they have bands and bbqs and potlucks. The facility has a nice pool, which we enjoyed in the afternoon. It was pretty crowded though, for a space with so many campsites the pool was relatively small. I noticed a small playground for kids. They also had a mini-golf course that we enjoyed and was free to play which was pretty cool. Overall it was a nice place to spend the weekend. Our friends have a great group of friends that they have fires and spend time with daily and weekly, and it seems like it has a good community feel. read more

We are seasonal campers here and have been for many years, and before that we would visit with our parents who are seasonal campers. We absolutely love it. The fellow campers are so friendly and from my experience courteous. The playgrounds are great for the kids, the pool is amazing, the events are fun. Lei-ti isn't open yet for the season so we decided to try another campground out and stay in a cabin last weekend. What a mistake!! We love and miss you lei-ti and we so appreciate your rules to make the campground a peaceful experience for everyone. Can't wait to be back!! read more

If you are looking for a family friendly, fun campground with outstanding neighbors, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else!! We did one year of seasonal camping and would never return. The owner is self-centered and only concerned about how he can turn any situation into an opportunity for him to make money off of you. In the event that you need any assistance you can be assured that he will be of no help. The campground is filled with many locals that do not appreciate outsiders. Unlike most campgrounds that we have visited in the past, most of the people here are completely miserable. Only one out of about 10 people return a friendly wave. They are constantly waiting to yell at people hoping that they break one of the rules. Speaking of the rules, there are so many rules that the rules have rules!! If you plan on doing even just a weekend visit, do your homework, there are much better options around. You don't want to spend your weekend parked in the gravel parking lot which is your option here. There is unlimited potential for this to be a much better campground. Unfortunately, until ownership changes, I don't see that happening. read more

GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!! Very rude customer service. Called to inquire about cabin rentals as they are offered on there website. (Please see for yourself). However, The person I spoke with claimed they do not have cabins, further stating "This is an RV park, what part of RV camping don't you understand". When I posted a review about my experience on there google rating the owner did not apologize for the confusion or his rude staff, but rather stated "Our website does not list or feature cabins. The second half of the mentioned quotation is untrue". I will not support a place that feels it is ok to talk to potential customers like they mean nothing, discredit there experiences, or act like my business is not appreciated. If you are looking for some place to go in the Batavia area go to Southwoods. They treat you like they actually appreciate you staying there. read more

This is a great campground. The staff and campers are all very friendly. Most sites are seasonal and they book up early so make your reservation well in advance. There is plenty to keep kids busy. We will definitely go back. read more

I have to say, this campground is awesome! Sites seem more private and you don't feel like you are in a parking lot - as the case with most seasonal campgrounds. Mature trees everywhere. Full utilities. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Has a pool, lake for swimming/fishing, tennis courts, mini-golf and playgrounds, plus many activities set up by the Lei-Ti association. Met wonderful people that have been at this campground for 15+ years. It is 95% seasonal. It is only 12 miles North of Darien Lake and close to Batavia. The owner recommended our "new" site last fall, which I couldn't be more happier with and I can't wait for the official camping 2014 season to begin! read more
