The camp spots are larger than some I've stayed at. Two laundry rooms that I have found (may be more). Huge store with all your camping needs, food, and entertainment and games for the kiddos. The donuts were homemade Amish donuts, they were delicious! The pool is indoors so that was nice for Memorial Day weekend when the weather was cold and rainy. Not a lot of places for the kids to play sports or run around being on a hill. They did manage to play some wiffle ball in a small space with a bunch of campground kids. The campground has four docks across the street from the campground that can be used for fishing. Probably will not be back, the steep hill is the deciding factor. A golf cart is almost a necessity for this campground.

The campground has lake access and a few docks. Boat launch is a short distance down the road. There is an indoor pool, water is heated. There are two playgrounds, a few swings and a rec hall. There are events like root beer floats, pancake breakfasts, bingo, well stocked camp store, cabins for rent, overflow parking and a beautiful view. The cons - sites are small, old playground equipment, overgrown walking trail, no ball field or open space for play, not maintained seasonal sites, a few rude seasonal campers and the hill. Steep inclines make this a campground hard to climb and difficult if you don't have full mobility or wearing your trainers. Your vehicle, golf cart or e-bike/scooter is needed to move around the campground easily. Which also means no one is abiding by the speed limit. Small campsites with children running around and the majority of people needing a vehicle of some sort to get up and down the hill is not a great combo. Overall - it is a nice campground with everything that a camper would expect to have and is worth visiting. We probably will not return due to the hill, small sites and our camper grounding out exiting.

In addition, the advertised morning coffee in the office was unavailable EVERY day I was there, as the manager left for her day job early in the morning. As for the room, there was a funky, stuffy smell, and the carpet felt greasy. Two stars for the manager's friendliness, and comping me a day for the fight next door. And it WAS a place to stay.

Check in process is like you see in the old movies, no keycards here. You get an actual key with a plastic tag with the room number. Credit cards are accepted but we paid cash. Oh and they have little bottles of shampoo and conditioner for you in the bathroom. If we're ever in the area, we will stop again.

As an avid tea drinker, I personally was expecting at least loose tea. We were given one hot tea pot for the table and had to constantly ask for refills until towards the end when the server gave us a second pot. It was a bit dangerous for us trying to pass one kettle around the table of four people as well. They also don't give you any iced water to drink on the side which was disappointing. In addition, no one came to clean out or change out your tea cup when you were moving on to drink the next tea. So I ended having a taste of earl grey in the chamomile tea. For the 3rd tea, I ended up dumping some of it out on my plate and wiping with my napkin. Eek! We did however, enjoy the food. They present you with a 3 tiered tray with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries and jam/butter. We all thought the finger sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious. Unlike franchise hotel chains, there is no front desk, bell boys, lobby, or swimming pool areas. This may not appeal to the traditional family vacation travelers, this is more of a couples getaway. This building is shared with other businesses such as, the Attorneys office of Webster Schubel Meier (2nd floor). Shirt factory and the tasting meadery room of Meadworks ( both on the 1st floor). I loved the fact we had to be self reliant, but as independent as we were. We still had available to us customer service all being available through their texting service. The room was quite nice. I really like the simple old world look with a touch of modern styling. The room came with a mini fridge, cable tv, and Wi-Fi. There was no microwave or kitchen area, but there is a area in the hallway with a microwave to use. The bed was nice and comfortable as well as the pillows. The 4 large windows was a nice feature as well, having the light shine in was great. Being on the 3rd floor we had a great view of the village, and the farmers market (every Saturday).
