    Tea Smelling Area/Selection

Leieve Tea has been a bookmark for me for a while and I finally made my way to this cute White Rock BBT café tonight. Love entering a bubble tea place and I'm hit with that sweet tapioca scent. The café is small with 3 high tables and one low table but it's cozy and cute. I've never had cheese foam but I decided to give is a try since it was an option here. I like how they have mason jars filled with their tea options so you have a chance to smell the tea before choosing. I chose the Peach Oolong Tea with Cheese Foam - with no changes to sweetness. So the cup lids are especially designed for this cheese foam because there is a flap you can open up to sip on the cheese foam and then you can drink the tea with your straw. This process is kind of cumbersome, especially if you're on the move so I like to just lift my straw to the cheese foam, slurp that then bring my straw back down to sip some tea. The Peach Oolong Tea had a deep tea flavour and pleasant sweet peach taste and the Cheese Foam is thicker than I imagined, a thick foamy texture with a creamy cream cheese flavour. So with the refreshing tea and savoury cheese foam, the mix is interesting - definitely something to try and see what the craze is about. To be honest, I didn't hate it but I won't order it again. My fiancé ordered the Original Milk Tea with Pearls (70% sweetness). The Milk Tea was creamy and had a good tea flavour. The Pearls were chewy and had a noticeable sweetness to them - so sweet that we probably would have liked the drink to be 50% sweet to balance it out more. At the register there's a little note that says they only use Lactose-Free Milk, a surprise but welcomed by my lactose-intolerant fiancé. We both couldn't find a big taste difference, maybe it's a little less creamy/milky in texture? But a small price to pay for the peace of mind and bowels... ;) Overall, a cute little café with nice staff that would be a great little pitstop before you explore White Rock and take a gander at it's currently broken pier. They offer other drink choices too like fruit teas too - very pretty. Also, they are closed on Wednesdays! Pay Parking is in effect everyday but only $1.50/hour until end of March!

I love the cute cat decor! Service is also great. The drinks are on the pricey side; the listed prices are for small size and an extra $0.75 is charged for large size. My drink came to a little less than $7, which is very steep. The drink itself tasted okay. I think the lactose free milk they use make it taste slightly weird, but the pearls are delicious.

This is a new bubble tea shop in the area. We stumbled upon this shop while strolling along the strip after dinner. Inside is a cozy, modern shop with limited seating. Staff were keen to help out and offered a sample of the cream cheese foam when we inquired what that item is. The foam indeed tasted like cream cheese. I noticed other bubble tea places offer these foam drinks as well so I decided to sample a green tea with cream cheese drink myself. The drink containers are smaller than the standard sizing for some of the drinks. Drink prices ranged from $4.75-6.75 with fresh fruit drinks being the most expensive. There is a loyalty program to bring your drink container back for a small discount. However, we could not figure out why only the mango slush was served in a reusable cup but not the other drinks. I did appreciate the foam art on my drink and that my drink also came with instructions for those who are unsure how to drink tea with a layer of foam. The green tea was definitely good quality. One of the staff members informed us that the grand opening is this weekend and that there will be discounts on the drinks. I guess we stumbled upon their soft opening.

Leive Tea is, by far, the best bubble tea in White Rock/South Surrey. Their Specialty teas include tea infusions with real fruit and real green/black tea, Milk teas with lactose free options, and Cheese Foam teas! I was really excited when I found they had cheese foam tea, it sounds like such a strange combination but it was (I no longer eat/drink dairy) my absolute favourite, really sweet and creamy, I would totally recommend it for those who haven't tried. My favourite now is the Passion Fruit Green/Black tea, which is very light and has passion fruit seeds in it! The pearls are also perfectly cooked and sweetened. I take people here every time I'm on the promenade.

We stopped by white rock on our drive back to the states cause the weather was gorgeous and spotted this little gem by the beach and decided to check it out. I am super glad we did! I only got the lemonade this time since we had desserts already from Richmond but I am for sure going to stop by and try other things next time! It was super refreshing on a warm sunny day and the cup is adorable with a heart stopper

I happened to be in the area and decided to take a chance on this place and I'm really happy I did! The service was super friendly, the interior was cute and clean and the bubble tea was on point. I ordered the Mango Slush with coconut jelly and my boyfriend ordered the Green Tea Lemonade with Soda and they were both really tasty! They were both super refreshing and not too sweet, and the cups they came in were really cute. If you're ever in the area and need a change from the overpriced ice cream, I definitely would check this place out.

Hello from the Other Side!!!…read more Yup ... Your GTA Yelper is out in the West Coast enjoying the beaches, the wildlife, the mountains, the oceans... Ugh. I Just want to go back HOME!!! LOL! When in VanCity, do what the natives do. Go to the BEACH! There are several beaches to go to and when finished playing sunburn roulette, one usually finds themselves famished! Hmmm... Didn't have fish'n'chips for a while. In fact, it's been like dog's years and some. AND I saw Pelican Rouge on the way in on my e-scooter (yeah... love these things). This place is housed in as one of a series of small restaurants dotting Crescent Beach. Decided to just get something to eat. 2 pieces of Halibut, Chips, and some slaw. OUCH...$42!!!! Boy it better be good! IT WAS!!! NOT! You would be proud of the serving if you were related to Captain Highliner. The pieces of fish was small - might as well have been Goldie the Goldfish on the plate. And the CHIPS - don't call it chips, would be more in line with limp fries from Harvey's (I think it's the same frozen thing). The phenomenon called pay and tip before receiving the food - thank you Covid! - really is pissing me off. I had to pay for the food and tip before even knowing what is going to be on my plate. AND when I don't like it.. what is my recourse? The fish was not good - the batter was the only highlight here. I know this area is somewhat seasonal and can be a bit touristy but seriously, tourists are human too! FML! So... for all you peeps out there thinking BC got fish down to a tee. Well let me tell you, NOT. Simple batter and fry eludes them - thank the lord they still know how to cut raw fish and serve!!! Ugh... JEERS!!!
