This review is long overdue. Two years ago we had arranged for a Lei greeting in Hawaii for our moms visiting the island for the first time. We ran into a bit of a snag, but LeiGreetings went above and beyond to set things right. They stand behind their services 100%. Although we were disappointed at the time, when I remember our trip to Hawaii, I always remember LeiGreetings and how exceptional their customer service was. This was my first time using this company - and it will be my last. I ordered 6 leis in all, 2 of each kind...the nuts were fine, the 4 leis however were all the same, I had specifically ordered white and they were all purple standard orchid leis. When I expressed my concern the girl at the airport had me sign and quickly left. Once we were home I had an email asking about my experience from the President of the company. I expressed my concerns for overpaying for standard leis...I never heard another word from the company. I will go back to using The Hawaiian Lei Co. They have always been amazing in the past and excel at customer service. I am a florist, I understand availability and conditions that can alter floral availability, but I also understand paying for something you do not even get close to. And in this case that is exactly what happened. Try a different company. read more

Extremely high-quality flowers that lasted 3 or 4 days. The representative was waiting at the gate as we deplaned. She was very welcoming and had a sign for our daughter. 100% Ripoff - Bait & Switch! Show Leis they do NOT have. Order two leis online for our 25th Anniversary Celebration. Received an email confirmation that said everything was set. Two days later received a call from a sales person confirming my order verbally and promising everything was okay. Then four hours later a young woman from this firm says one of the leis I ordered - Tuberose & Orchid Lei - they were not going to be able to fulfill because there was a "shortage of tuberoses." Yet they continue to advertise these leis on their site! No indication ANYWHERE that there even COULD be a limited supply. Guess what is WORST OF ALL: This happened two days before our trip and now there is a "RUSH" surcharge to order leis from their competitors! What a RIPOFF. This firm is disreputable and misleading and did a complete bait and switch. They tried to replace it with inferior leis. I asked for a refund and the person said, "Yeah, whatever" and hung up on me! I have not received a refund and will be contacting my credit card company which will be reversing the charge. Caveat emptor! (BUYER BEWARE) - P.S. This company provides Leis to dozens of other firms so there are dozens of websites online without this company's name but look at the phone number and the photos of the Leis and the video and you will see they are all the same. The firm I placed my order with responded immediately and said that this firm had confirmed my order earlier in the day. Were paid for 8 leis on 2 different flights to OGG Maui First flight 3 of 4 leis made it. Second flight zero. Aweful aweful. Would not recommend this company. Buy at Costco and do it yourself. After the first mistake we relayed the importance of the second flight twice. We were reassured that they would get it right the second time. Boy were we wrong. Burn me once, shame on me ... burn me twice and there is a pattern showing up that should be avoided. read more

It was my husband's first visit to Hawaii, so I wanted to surprise him with a lei greeting upon arrival at Kahului Airport on Maui. The entire experience, from emailing with the staff to arrange the greeting, to the greeting itself was absolutely wonderful! We came down the escalator to get our bags and there it was - a lovely woman holding two beautiful leis with a sign that had both our names and wished us a happy first anniversary. I saw it first, but waited for my husband to see it. When he looked again and recognized his name, a huge smile formed. It was so great! The sweet woman who greeted us took the time to point us in the direction of our rental car and take our picture. I highly recommend this as a special surprise on a Hawaiian vacation! read more

Our family went on a two week vacation to Oahu and I wanted to surprise them with a Lei greeting! Our flight was delayed by a day, then after arriving the plane sat on the Tarmac for over an hour and then changed gates, but Alfred was there to greet us! He was so polite, friendly and immediately greeted us with a big Aloha!! My wife and kids thought it was the greatest surprise ever and Alfred made it even more special! He took our picture and also offered directions and recommendations of things to do while on the island! You will pay more for this service......but it is well worth the money and was a great kick off to our vacation and Alfred was the greatest! read more

Ordered a lei greeting for my guy (kukui nuts) and myself (orchids) when we flew to Hawai'i. This was my 3rd trip to the islands, and his first. But this was our first lei experience, and it was very pleasant and a special way to kick off our vacation. The orchid lei (while not the pink and white ones pictured on their website) was presented in green and white blooms -amazingly this light green is my favorite color. Rock on! It was fresh and lovely, and lasted for several days in the fridge, per the enclosed instructions. His kukui nut lei was black with while speckles, and looked great against his black shirt. What a special and affordable way to bring on the aloha and to welcome weary travelers off of a 5+ hour flight. When we come back, I will be ordering from them again! (The fate of my lei: it became a gift to Madame Pele at the November 2014 lava flow at the Pāhoa Transfer Station.) read more

The gentleman with the Leis was at the gate in Lihue, Kauai before we got off the plane and the girls were overjoyed to begin their Hawaii adventure with such a lovely token of Hawaii. My husband and I were going on a honeymoon in Maui so I preordered a lei greeting. At the time of booking I entered flight information. Unfortunately, our flights were delayed and we arrived several hours later. I called the office repeatedly only to receive a message that the office was closed. I continued to call at every airport to give them an update but still I heard nothing. I hoped that when we arrived we would be greeted. But no one was there. I called the office the next day to receive a refund but to date (9 days later) they have done nothing and keep saying that we were greeted then they say they will issue a refund and then never call back. Worse service ever I would never recommend to anyone especially if you have airline delays. read more

My friend Tracy and I arrived in Honolulu after an eight and a half hour flight, and neither of us is an experienced traveler. It was very encouraging to see a smiling woman holding up a sign with our names on it. She greeted us, put a fresh flower lei about each of our necks, offered to take pictures and led us to baggage claim. After that she led us to our shuttle which took us to our hotel. She made our trip easier and less stressful and she made us feel very much that we were in Hawaii. This was our first trip to the Islands and may well be our last, but I know that if I ever go back I'll be happy to use them again. read more

Could not have been happier with the Lei we received and the wonderful greeter we had. I've been to Hawaii 4x now, and on this trip with my gf (new to hawaii) I wanted to make it an experience to remember. There is something so authentic about being welcomed with a lei, especially after flying for 12+ hours. Our greeter was waiting just outside the gate we arrived at, leis in hand and a warm smile on her face. She even offered to take pictures of us, before walking us to baggage claim and transport which was a huge plus. There are only so many selfies one can handle, and navigating a new airport is always a challenge. This was to be our 10th anniversary and our first trip to Hawaii. When we arrived, there were several greeters from different companies, but our greeter held so many name cards that she could not hold them all up. We had to wait for her to rifle through them all to find our name. She gave us our leis, but was too distracted by looking for all the other customers to nearly say anything to us, only to point us in the right direction. No help with luggage. No picture. We certainly did not feel like a friend, we felt like we were in her way. When I contacted leigreeter.com the next day to politely explain our disappointment and to hear their side of the story, we got absolutely no response! Nothing about being sorry they were understaffed that night, or anything! The leis were absolutely beautiful, but with our disappointment in the service, I wish we had not bothered ordering with them. Update: After I posted my review, I was immediately contacted by leigreeter.com and spoke with a representative about the review. He apologized about the service and for not responding to my inquiry. He said that the company has much better standards then we received. He offered a partial refund, and offered to redeliver the leis again at our return to the airport. This time, we met a wonderful young lady (Sara) who went our of her way to help us find an atm, and a taxi, helped with bags and took our picture! She was wonderful! This experience was wonderful! Arranging to have leis for my mother in law and nephew when they arrived at the Honolulu International Airport was so easy and they were so impressed. The greeter was great! She took a picture for their album and even helped our family get to the baggage claim area for their luggage. The leis were so fresh, smelled wonderful, and looked just like the pictures online. They found their final resting place at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. Very nice. EXCELLENT service! I wanted to surprise my cousin and her husband with leis at the Kona airport when they arrived on vacation, so I didn't tell them to expect the leis. Of course, Murphy's Law, they totally missed the greeter who was waiting for them. When I found out that that had happened, I contacted Honolulu Lei Greetings to see if there was any way the leis could be delivered to the hotel. They were absolutely on top of it, and happy to help I might add, and the leis arrived at the hotel the next day. My cousin took a photo of them and they were very beautiful! Very very worth the price, with the great service and lovely leis! I will definitely go back to them the next time. We arranged for a lei greeting and limo transportation to our hotel when we arrived on an evening flight in Honolulu airport. It was for a birthday surprise, and the greeter had a sign wishing the recipient a happy birthday, which was very nice. Our greeter was friendly and helpful, and when we stopped to get photos showing us by the palm trees outside, she offered to take them so we could all be in the photo. She waited through a long round of baggage claim with us, then took us to the limo, where another very nice driver loaded up our luggage and offered cold bottles of water for the drive to our hotel. The birthday girl was more than surprised and we all felt pretty special pulling up in a stretch limo (which was beautiful inside and out!). As for the lei, it lasted almost a week before starting to brown, and since it happened to be Duke Kahanamoku's birthday, we left it at his statue on Waikiki beach.
