This was our first boarding experience, so we were understandably a bit nervous, but Moe and Elodie quickly put us at ease. They were professional and provided timely responses to all of our questions. While we were out of town, they regularly sent us photos and updates so we knew Sami was well taken care of. And Leila was such a gracious host to share her home for a long weekend. Can't recommended them enough. So glad we found them. The best pet sitters ever! Our pup Prince was in great hands , i knew from the moment I dropped him off. Moe made us feel very comfortable leaving him with him. He right away won Prince trust with cuddles and Leila Moe's dog was the sweetest ever!! She was so sweet to Prince , even when prince would jump on her and bark ( as he is still a puppy ) he is extra playful! I recommend to anyone who does not want to leave their pup alone for a few hours or day. They will care for your pup / dog with love and just as of it were their pup. They also shared updates with me through the day, with pics and i just felt at ease. So happy to have found them and we will use their services in the future for sure! I wish there were more stars to give on this review for Leila Knows Best! My Sansa is a 10 month old Soft Coated Wheaten terrier. The breed is known to be highly intelligent. Her trainer tells me that she is very stubborn with extremely high energy. She is also rebellious and constantly pushing boundaries to see what she can get away with. And I adore her. Sansa was badly injured by her first groomer at age 14 weeks, and had to have emergency surgery, plus 6 weeks of heavy sedation so she could recover. As a result she is now anxious all the time. She is jumpy and scared and ready to bite the hand that wants to leash her-mine! I had left her with a dog sitter for a weekend in September and then reserved the same sitter for the first week of November. I think that the sitter was too polite to tell me that she didn't want to deal with my Cujo-style dog. She called about 12 hours before she was supposed to show up and backed out. I am glad she did because that lead me to Elodie and Moe-"Leila Knows Best", who are THE PERFECT dog sitters. They treated Sansa like she was their own. I know how disruptive she can be, yet they never complained. She was genuinely happy there. I had to extend my trip by two nights and they accommodated her without fussing, hemming or hawing. I received several updates for the 8 days that I was away. They took her to the waterfront to play, for several walks a day and even pulled out a crate for her to sleep in because that's what she is trained to do. I didn't have to lug her crate over. Their place is spotless. They have a beautiful pooch called Leila who seems calm and well trained. Sansa clearly enjoyed her stay with aunty Elodie and Uncle Moe! To Elodie and Moe-I cannot thank you enough! I hope you'll agree to take her again. (Not soon because as Moe said-she is a dog and a half). Lol She is in puppy kindergarten now and should be much easier next time!! If you want someone you can trust with your canine baby, look no further. . read more

My dog Fable and I ADORE Elodie & Moe! I can't recommend Leila Knows Best enough. They are so loving, and clearly love all the dogs they care for who become like family, and it's apparent right away. I appreciate how responsive and flexible they are - my schedule can be somewhat unpredictable and they've always been understanding to any last minute changes, and take those on with a smile. They listen to the needs of every dog and their owner, as well - Fable is a highly active field golden retriever puppy, who needs to run a lot, so they make sure to get her exercise at the park when she visits! They always send lots of photos and videos, so you feel like you know what's going on and you're having fun with them. Our Yorkie, Mateo, stayed with Elodie and Mo for one night and he had a wonderful time! They took excellent care of him from the time that he arrived through his departure! We received lots of updates, pictures and videos. Mateo settled right in as part of the family. We are so excited that we now have awesome pet sitters for our upcoming trips!!! From start to finish, we have been overjoyed with the love, care, and attention to detail Elodie and Moe have for our animals. They stopped over to meet us and talk logistics in advance. Moe even picked up our puppy, Boom Boom, before we left town and dropped him back off. We left our cat, Newman, home and they stopped over everyday to give him food, water, and TLC. We were provided many photos and updates on eating and bathroom habits. Elodie and Moe took Boom Boom on many walks and to parks and trails outside of town. Boom Boom made new dog friends as well. We were a little worried before we left about leaving them (especially the puppy for the 1st time). After a few days, we were more worried that the puppy would never want to come home. Great name as they are the BEST pet sitters I've had for my 3 dogs. Elodie and Moe are spectacular. I am a neurotic owner of 3 dogs and just used them for the first time while my wife and I were out of town for a week. Each one of my dogs has a different personality and they dealt with all of them well; even my newer pup who barked at them forever the first day. I got several photos and videos each day showing my dogs playing, eating, etc. They administered pills and were able to walk all 3 of mine at once. You can really tell they are not just doing a job but really love the animals. Hire these people. They will be my default pet sitting from now on. read more

I would highly recommend Leila Knows Best for your four-legged furry family member. Moe takes Desi on daily walks and has cared for her in our home for overnight visits. It brings me great relief and joy when I leave our Old English Sheepdog "Desi" with Moe. He treats her like family with such kindness, sending photos and videos illustrating that she's in great care. Because she's a senior dog who requires daily medications and sometimes struggles to stand up, I wanted to find someone loving, gentle and responsible. I was going to just post the attached picture, and say the photo tells the whole story! But I'll say a bit more. :) Moe and Elodie are very responsible and wonderful with our very nervous pup, Morty. He's scared of new people, but from the first stay with them, they made him feel right at home and comfortable with these "strangers." We were so relieved to get pictures showing him having a ball, and he is simply in love with Leila. We have used them several times for overnight stays - we are able to relax knowing he is well taken care of, and we love the pictures we get (like this one from last week!) Elodie and Moe are the best! They watched our two dogs over a long weekend and did such an amazing job keeping in touch and sending pictures. One of our dogs is a rescue and very nervous and Moe and Elodie were both so sweet and patient with her (she completely warmed up to them by the end of the weekend!). Moe and Elodie are wonderful and have been taking such great care of my dogs Ella and Jasper. I've used them for several months now, both for walks and overnights in my home when I travel. One of my dogs is very anxious around new people, but Moe won her over quickly and he is able to walk them together, which they really like. They clearly love and respect him, which is helpful when you have two 50+lb dogs! And they are really great about sending photos and updates, whether it's after their walks or multiple times during any overnights. That really eases my mind. Moe and Elodie are amazing, I'm so happy I found them! They are flexible, conscious of individual dog needs, and incredibly kind to my dog. They've walked her on occasions, and she's stayed with them for day care as well as when I have gone on long trips (in the Before!). She's grown to trust them and their pup Leila over the past couple years, which is saying a lot for this rescue. They have even taken her to brunch with them since they know she hates being home alone. And they send me pictures all the time to show me that she's having fun! I left my puppy with Elodie and Moe for 10 days because I was leaving town. I couldn´t think of a better place to leave her! They were amazing from day 1! Me, being me, dropped her with a bunch of toys, her blanket, crate, and 3 pages of recommendations and my "expert" advice. It turns out Pixie had the time of her life. Elodie and Moe are very loving and, most importantly, their dog Leila is so friendly and selfless! She shared her toys and space with Pixie and they instantly became BFF´s. While I was away, they made it their mission to keep me posted of the progress, sending me postcard quality pictures of Pixie. She was having an amazing time! They not only took amazing care of her, but they also gave her plenty of love and play time. Double kudos for them for taking care of a 4 months puppy, and triple kudos for them to brave the coldest days in January. Pixie even got to play in the snow with her buddy Leila! I cannot thank Elodie and Moe enough for their help. I will definitely leave Pixie again with them, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to every pet lover that is looking, not only for a safe place where to leave their pet, but also for a place where they will receive plenty of love, affection, and play time! UPDATE: Since January, I left Pixie, who is 9 months old now, several times with Elodie and Moe. Pixie already recognizes the place when we are close and walks directly to their front door, where Leila is eagerly waiting for her! I don't feel guilty when I have to leave Pixie because I know she has a blast at "Leila knows best". When I pick her up, I can tell she had a great time; she looks happy and well taken care of. For the last seven months Moe has been walking my pit mix "Sage" three times weekly and staying overnight with her when I'm out of town; I couldn't be happier with the service he and Elodie provide. They don't just take good care of my girl, but they adore her as much as I do and have really helped her come out of her shell and be more comfortable with new people and new situations. They are also very communicative before, during, and after every visit, which makes me feel comfortable that Sage will be okay when I have to leave. I would highly recommend them! read more
