I had a massage with Mimi today, after finding this place on yelp. This was my first Thai massage, and it was what I wanted/expected. When I arrived, Mimi greeted me, I filled out the standard form, and she brought me back to the massage space. It was an individual, draped-off "room," but only separated from the next room by a set of drapes. The mediation music was relaxing, and Mimi asked me to undress to my underwear and start face-down on the table (normal massage routine). I like deep pressure, and Mimi's technique was deep but not painful. The stretches, particularly the leg stretches, were amazing. Now the interesting part. Because the individual spaces are draped off, I could hear the massage in the next space. I could hear the gentleman groaning (NOT in a gross way, just that his massage sounded extremely deep lol). After a particularly big groan, I heard his massage therapist ask, "are you ok?" and he replied "uh yeah," but his voice cracked like he was crying lol. Mimi told me his therapist was Susie, whose technique is mostly walking, so it's extra deep pressure. Mimi told me her technique is more like spot therapy. Mimi's technique was on point for me, she found a particular knot in my left hip that she said was huge (didn't give me any trouble!), and she explained that because the knot is at the base of my back, it partly leads to the tension I feel in my shoulders and neck. She encouraged me to come back for 90 minutes with Susie to walk it out! lol Mimi had to leave for a minute to help Susie with the credit card machine when her client was done, and Mimi said "he cried for good," lol. Honestly, it DOES make me want to come back and try out Susie!! I ended my session with 30 mins of gua sha, which was equally relaxing. Total price was approx $150 for 60 min Thai massage and 30 min gua sha, which was completely adequate price. I will come back! read more

Just what I needed! I came in today dealing with neck and back pain and was greeted immediately. They talked with me about what my issues were and had me do some tests to show my movement. Susie was amazing! This was my first Thai massage and I was a bit nervous. She made sure to check in and see if the pressure was okay and was able to read my body well if something didn't feel right. $140 for 90 min was well worth the price and left with more movement than I had before. **9/28 Update** - the owner called and apologized and tried her best to make things right. We appreciated the effort and believe that she truly cares about the customer experience. My experience obviously remains the same, but I'm hopeful that the owner will make the changes needed to prevent other customers from having the same experience I did. Absolutely awful experience - avoid this place This was hands-down the worst massage I've ever had. I filled out the form explaining exactly what areas I wanted worked on and asked for deep pressure, only to have the therapist completely ignore everything. I circled almost everywhere except my lower back and the first place she goes to is my lower back. I specifically told her i wanted deep pressure before she started. Instead of massaging my muscles, she rubbed my skin like giving me "Indian burns." I asked her repeatedly to go deep and she proceeded to just keep rubbing my skin. I eventually had to stop the massage, sit up, rub the bed with my hands and tell her, "this is no no", lol. Halfway through, she walked out in the middle of my session to chat with another client. The mediation soundtrack skipped every 20 seconds, making it impossible to relax. Out of a 90-minute massage, maybe 10 minutes felt remotely like an actual massage -- the rest was frustrating and uncomfortable. I was so ready for it to end that I asked her to stop at 60 minutes, and she said ok and ignored me. When I told the front desk how bad it was, they offered nothing to make it right, just suggested I "come back and try a different practitioner." Lol. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is unprofessional, careless, and a complete waste of time and money. read more

I went back recently and had a session with Susie, and she was wonderful! She's not as chatty as Mimi, but she is still very kind, attentive, and always checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Rida, who I assume is the owner was thoughtful throughout the process as she questioned my concerns, specific aches and, pains. It was a nice gesture she gave me a notice on a specific part of the session where she would be engaging a pressure point that will be tender and may hurt. Overall, it was a wonderful Deep Thai massage and I came out feeling better, more relaxed, and loosened up. Pricing is average from the other businesses I've went to, more or less but it's worth it. Lekda is such a rare find! Mimi was a great host and my massage therapist (forgot her name) was excellent. They greeted me with a health questionnaire and some slippers to wear before taking me away to soak my feet in a warm detox bath. Everything was extremely professional. The space is nicely appointed with draped rooms. They have nice, warm massage tables that felt very sturdy. My back has been hurting because of some tight fascia and ligaments, and I requested a heavier massage. Since I was face down, I couldn't tell, but I think she was walking on my back. Whatever was happening, it wasn't overly aggressive and did the trick to unlock some of the tightness. The oils weren't excessive and they didn't have a strong odor. We didn't do as much stretching as I'm used to doing, but that may have been because of my reduced mobility. Also, different therapists have their own style, so it may just be different from in person to the next. Overall, it was one of the better experiences I've had with massage businesses. This place is on the level, no funny business. If you're coming here to get your rocks off, take that someplace else. I'll be back in a few days to try someone new and to keep up on recuperating my back. read more
