The staff are nice and the 2-hour massage (including hot stones and a foot massage) provided some pain relief. However, a couple of things hindered the experience: there was a slight mildew scent in the room, and the therapist's long loose hair dragged across my skin throughout the session. If the facility and staff grooming were tightened up, I'd happily rate 5 Stars. read more

Okay, this is really the last time I will be coming here. I've come once in awhile, it's typically an okay experience. The rooms are usually a little cold, I run cold so not ideal for me. But today, after I left a tip (and I'm a pretty generous tipper) the woman stopped me to tell me I didn't leave a big enough tip for a two hour massage. Seriously... it's the customer who gets to decide what tip to leave not the other way around. And like I said, I'm a generous tipper so this felt really gross. No thanks. read more

I've been coming here for years whenever I visit my mom in the Bay Area. My husband and I used to love this place -- their deep tissue massages were better than many from licensed therapists in LA. We always left relaxed and tipped generously ($20/hr) because the service was worth it. Not anymore. The quality has completely fallen off a cliff. On my recent visit, they had a sign requiring a $20/hr tip -- paid upfront before the massage even starts. That should've been my warning. Sure enough, it was one of the most useless, half-hearted "deep tissue" massages I've ever had. I could barely feel any pressure, and despite repeatedly explaining where I needed focus, the therapist either didn't understand or didn't care. Once the tip was secured, the effort was gone. It's obvious they're now prioritizing guaranteed tips over actual service. What used to be an exceptional experience is now a complete waste of time and money. If you're looking for an actual deep tissue or myofascial release -- grab a foam roller and stretch at home. You'll get better results. read more

I was born with a bad back. So I needed help. Lucy is probably the best masseuse I have ever had give me a massage in my life. If massage was a martial art she would be on the level of Mastery. Not much more to say. Give her a try, you will not regret it. However, she can be a little on the very deep tissue side, to the point of very hard pressure, but she does let up if it is uncomfortable. (just fair warning) read more

First of all, the person at the front desk didn't speak English well. I'm not trying to judge anyone, but it was a barrier to booking my massage and them understanding what I was saying. The massage didn't follow what I asked for at all. I even reminded her several times throughout what I wanted, and I also used Google Translate to show my message to her directly. Then, of course, no terrible massage would be complete without being harassed for a higher tip as I left. I shouldn't have a left a tip at all. She was lucky to get anything. The massage was lousy. Almost nothing was done that felt relaxing or relieving. read more

Terrible customer service. Twice now I booked online and then walk in to have them not know about my appointment or to honor the price I booked for online. Bait and switch for twice the price - no thanks. I thought I would try again but now regret it. So much for a relaxing massage. Too bad because the actual massage work here is good. read more

I've gone here a number of times. Although it is not the best therapeutic massage it is definitely a good value for the money. The rooms at a bit small. Their $99 two hour massage is about the best deal around. I found it relaxing. I think I fell asleep a couple of times. Note: please tip your massager well. In many places the massage gets 50% of your cost. This is hard work and if you like the massage, show it. read more

Best massage in a long time, and that includes Bali. Some places follow a routine, irregardless of where your pains may be! I told my masseuse my neck and shoulders where very stiff and sore. She concentrated on those areas 70 percent of the time with back and legs taking a back seat. The place is in a strip mall near Marshall's, which seems a bit gimmicky as they advertise their special prices in the windows on the San Pablo Blvd median and I would assume fence posts too. The place must be huge! I never saw any of the big common areas in the pictures. I was taken to a private room that had a Heated bed!!! I'm tall and my piggies hung off the end, but the bed was wide enough for the masseuse to climb on either side and work those shoulder and back muscles deeply. The repetitive music was annoying but soon all I remember is stifled groans emoting from somewhere deep in my chest and back, involuntarily. So much so,it took me a while to realize it was me making those sounds! Like you take a deep breath out and just when you think you got all the air out, you get a squeeze and out comes another breath, like a pained puppy. Got the 60 minute Thai deep tissue massage plus the hot stone treatment. Great deal, great massage! Highly recommend it! read more

Solid massage and lovely sauna room! I booked a 60 min Swedish and 30 min foot reflexology and ended up getting a 90 min Swedish. That said, I walked out relaxed and felt great. read more

I do not recommend this establishment! It's loud! People were laughing and talking loudly during my entire massage. The lady (Lisa/Linda) didn't do the best job and when she was finished, she walked to the front and told the man to remember to ask for a tip. The man at the front demanded a tip three times! Firstly, you don't pressure customers to leave tips. I planned to leave one, but due to the horrible customer service, I decided not to. I asked her name twice and it kept changing. Go somewhere else! read more

Since moving to the east bay, we were looking for a place for reflexology massage, and I think we've found our new place with Vichy Luxe! Unassuming, in a strip mall in El Cerritos, we were pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in! The decor is nice, the place is clean, and the staff were all very friendly. We called the day before for an hour reflexology on a Sunday afternoon, and it all went smoothly. We were led to a dark relaxing massage room with comfy massage chairs where our feet were soaked. The massages were great and the whole experience was very relaxing. The staff may not speak English very well but they are very good at what they do. Would definitely love to come back for longer massages in the future! read more

I called to make an appointment because the website wasn't working properly. She asked for my name and confirmed the date/time. I arrived 10 minutes early only to be told that I don't have an appointment the man then looked at the text messages and realized that the appointment was never written in the book. He told me there was availability in 45 minutes and when I was hesitant to accept, he told me to wait and made a call. He was waiting for a call back but I left 7 minutes after my appointment time. So disappointed that there was no type of reconciliation considering that I didn't get my service despite having an appointment. read more

I got the $99 special. The massage was incredible, the pain level just right for what my body needed. *pain level depends on you* it was clean, calm and quaint. I will definitely go back again . read more

Great massage! All of my muscles feel relaxed and taken care of. I did both the open room and a private massage. Both worked well but I prefer private. Will be back! read more

I do not recommend going here. I was super excited for their two hour massage special after getting hit by a car while walking my dogs. My husband and I went here and thought we would treat ourselves the massage therapist. If that's what you call them are inexperienced and do not know professionalism keys kept falling out of one of their pockets And the other one her phone went off and she just left it playing in the middle of the massage. Both masseuse's despite having to be told multiple times were extremely rough and constantly were using their elbows. They also massaged us on top of the blankets for almost 40 minutes until my husband had to say are you going to pull the blankets down that's not even the worst part on my way out I tipped them $10 giving them five each as I was going to get in my car they called me back inside and yelled at me and told me I needed to give them 20. I am completely appalled by this place and do not think places like this should be able to be in business. read more

I went today for a 2 hour deep tissue massage and I feel like a new woman! My masseuse was very attentive to all my knots. All the linens on the massage table smelled really good too. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

this place is a scam beware. they i paid the advertised price for a massge then checked my bank and they charged a higher amount later on. do not go here. also the massage was horrible. read more

I just got an hour-long full body massage, which felt great. The masseuse took her time and actually went longer than the 60 minutes that I had purchased. Don't forget to bring at least $10 for a tip.I highly recommend Vichy and will be going back. . read more

Have been coming here since they opened and they've consistently had good service. I've recently found Andy and he is amazing. Everytime I've gone to him, he's gotten rid of my headache. I'm so happy they put this place on down the street from me read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! This is the worst place for a massage. They put gloves on when massaging you. It defeats the purpose of a good massage. The hard glove is like sandpaper rubbing on your skin! It was one hour of torture. Please do not come here. Find another place on Yelp. Avoid this place. read more

I had a 2 hour couples massage after Christmas this year at Vichy Luxe. It was glorious! What a bargain! The massage therapists were very attentive to our pressure preferences and didn't spend too much time on one specific area of the body. I don't live in the area- I was in town for Christmas; but will be visiting Vichy Luxe when I'm back in town! read more

My mom and I come to the spa once a week for the microdermabrasion treatment/ dark spot removal treatment. The result is absolutely astonishing! I could see the dark spots fading after 3 treatments. And I LOVE their sauna! It's hot stone sauna, not stuffy like the regular steam or dry sauna. The environment in general is very clean. I enjoyed every minute of the massage and the entire experience here. Highly recommended!! read more

We had the special $99 2 hour massage and it was so luxurious. Deep tissues were expertly kneaded and massages. Nice relaxing music playing. They also have a spa that was very clean and zen like. Highly recommend this place and please leave the therapists a hefty tip as they work hard. read more

They do a nice Swedish but my therapist lacked deep tissue expertise. My left shoulder spasmed for 2 days afterwards. Fortunately, my wife with 20 years of massage experience taught me how to fix it. Would have otherwise ruined my vacation. read more

They do a good job for general massages, its going to be relaxing. I went and asked for a face massage and they charged $80 and used hair/cuticle oil on my face and the facial area was not clean. wouldn't recommend for a facial but massage is good. read more

I asked them to recommend a female masseur with the best massage skills to me, but they hung up my phone with a very bad attitude. The service is too poor! Unable to meet the reasonable needs of customers. read more

I really want to like this place and will go back. I booked an appointment online and the person at the desk was surprised to see me when I arrived. Apparently, they didn't have the staffing. She put me in the smallest room and proceeded to give me a massage. She was nice but she was not trained. it was rough but better than nothing. I went to the sauna and there was a couple in there talking on the phone or watching videos in Japanese. They were very loud and were camped out in there with tea and water. I left and returned and they were still there. It was a great sauna and it would have been nice to enjoy it quietly. I will try again and book an appointment over the phone to see if I get a different result. read more

Popped in this place on a whim! Karen gave me reflexology and then back massage. Everything was fabulous! Clean, quiet.

I am giving one star because I had very bad experience with them. It was my first time going there because I saw five star on the yelp but I was very disappointed. The girl name Lisa was my lady to giving me massage but she was using elbows the whole time and it was painful rather relaxing. I bought 90min and it was the worst massage I had ever had. I will not recommend to go there specifically with Lisa. Please don't waste your money on this place. Am sorry to writing this review but I was expecting so much. read more

Scammers? Ripoff's? Probably the worst message I've ever had to pay for: paid for an hour of deep-tissue message, and got 55 minutes of something else. Here's the list of what I received: uncomfortable table, non-English speaking, her phone rang in her pocket twice during the session, she took a break at the middle of the message to get some sort of hot rocks to put on my back without warning. She started doing reflexology message to my legs- I paid for a deep tissue message. I asked her 10-15 times to make it harder/deeper, but she only used her arm to press down. I really don't think this person had any training or is qualified to do message. On my way out in the lobby, they had the audacity to ask me for a tip! I nicely explained way I wasn't going to tip and then sent them an email explaining and asking for a refund before posting to this site, but there was no response. There are other places down the street from this location which seem more professional, I recommend you go there. read more

Four of us ladies were looking for a rainy day massage on a Sunday afternoon. I called Vichy Luxe and they had availabilty for us within the hour. We were so thrilled with the amazing treatments we received and the whole experience left us wanting to book every Sunday here. The facilities are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and the private room was so comfortable, warm and quiet (ask for a heated table). We all booked a 90 minutes combo massage and all 4 of us walked out of our rooms with nothing but kudos for the massage therapists we had. It was very relaxing and they used hot stones for part of the massage. The receptionist showed us around the facilities afterwards with their amazing sauna room, mediation room, & a large bathroom/locker room with showers. Give yourself some extra time before your appt to use the facilities. I frequent a few other of the massage places around El Cerrito and Vichy Luxe will now become my #1 choice to book! read more
