There was no extra images. None of the images were edited. We hired you to perform photos for a wedding renewal. You lied about having your camera stolen because you lost the memory card. The extra photos you provided were incredibly low quality from your 2nd camera. You didn't do your job properly. You didn't edit any of the photos you provided. You sent them to me after you found the memory card. I would never trust you to be a part of any important part of an event. So the extra photos are junk photos of low quality. read more

I am a sucker for beautiful photography so when I planned a babymoon with my family to visit Maui, I just had to find a great photographer to take sunset photos on the beach. Now, beautiful photographers come with a nice price tag, but if you go cheap, you will get what you pay for. I went straight to my Yelp app and searched for the best photographers on Maui and I did do a price comparison. LeLuxe won me over with their overall 5 star Yelp rating, their photos, and their price. They had a special offer and you even had the option to only book half an hour for less, but I had a 3 yr old and I didn't know how many good photos we can get with half an hour so we booked the hour with Kyle. Kyle was very responsive through text and through email. I love quick responsiveness! In order to book, you had to pay a small deposit which I really did not mind. We found the location pretty easily with Kyle's guidance and we had a seamless photo session. Kyle was very good working with my daughter and what was really sweet is that he had water to wash the sand on our feet and even carried my daughter back to the car when we were done! I can tell how much he loves his job/business. As promised, Kyle emailed a link 7 days after our photo session and I must say, I couldn't have been more impressed. We just finished our photo session and I haven't even seen a single picture but I cannot rave enough about how amazing our experience was. It was a morning session with a tired 5.5 and 7yr old and their team was just above and beyond. I definitely recommend them if you have a family or group. They were great with the children and had creative ways to get them to take pictures together. My husband and I, along with our 21-month old son, decided to take family pictures while we were vacationing in Maui. I am so thankful that LeLuxe was available! There were a couple other photographers that I considered, but they did not have the style I was looking for (bright, colorful, and polished/professional looking). The whole booking process (from quote to final payment) was extremely smooth and fast. Kyle, the owner, was very prompt in responding to my many inquiries, which made everything stress-free for us. He suggested a beautiful beach near Kihei (where we were staying) - Palauea Beach. The day of our photoshoot, we met our photographer, Umida, who was very prompt and communicated clearly to us where to meet. The beach was beautiful and secluded! We met at 10am which is a perfect time (not too hot, so not too sweaty yet) and the beach is definitely a hidden gem (not full of tourists like other beaches). I hope this review won't add to the traffic :) Umida is very friendly and knowledgeable/experienced with family photography, she has a young son as well and understood how difficult it could be to photograph a toddler. She made the situation very pleasant and we had a lot of fun --- I have no idea how she was able to capture my son laughing but she did it in many photos! She has a great eye for scenery and poses, and makes you feel at ease. My husband and I are very thankful to have had this experience with Umida and Kyle. I highly recommend them, 100%, for family fun photos. The photos were edited and ready for me in less than 9 days! I was in search of a photographer while I was in Maui. I wanted to do a family beach photoshoot and was recommended by a friend to try LeLuxe Hawaii. We're so glad we chose LeLuxe for our very first family portrait. Our daughter is just over 2 years old and has major stranger danger, especially towards men she doesn't know. This was the biggest reason why we had waited to have our first family photos, but since we were traveling to Hawaii, we took a chance. We were skeptical as to how the photos will turn out because of our kid's fear of stranger men. But let me tell you, Kyle managed to get our daughter to warm up to him in no time. She was laughing with him and responding to him more than she does to some of our distant family members. I don't know how he knew, but he had all sorts of shells ready for her to hold while being photographed. He even picked a fresh plumeria flower for her. Our daughter was smitten. Our hour photo session went by so fast and our daughter loved every minute of it. But the most important part, the photos! I found LeLuxe through Yelp. From the start, Kyle was very responsive and always responded promptly to my texts to secure our date for our family photo session. I made my deposit through Venmo, which couldn't be easier. On the day of our session, we met Kyle and Lena and they were absolutely amazing! My husband and I have never done a photo shoot together. I have once before and this was his first time. We were going to be on vacation in HI for a wedding and decided to look into some photography for our pregnancy announcement photos. LeLuxe was very responsive in the scheduling process and gave us lots of info on what to bring and what to expect. I thought their pictures previewed were great and they were running a special on the package we were interested in. Our family always stays in Kihei on Maui so that was also a factor. Our photographers were Kyle and Lena. Kyle did a great job coaching us through the process and was very comforting since we hadn't ever done this before. He was really good about making sure he got the shots we wanted as well as a few he liked as well. At the end of the session he said it would take 7-10 business days for the link to our pictures where we would choose 25 edited images we loved. (I've done a similar session for the same price and only received 10 images, so 25 was a steal!) That being said we were pleased when it only took two days to get our link. We took photos 7/3/19 and had the link in the afternoon on 7/5. I was able to look through them all and choose our images which were made available to us almost immediately, same day! Obviously we aren't from this area but I would highly recommend them to anyone local or visiting. And we would be happy to use the same company one day when we return with our little one. Where to begin? I'm amazed at how beautiful my pictures turned out. Amazed not because I doubted their ability.... I did my research and being a fellow photographer I knew exactly what I was looking for, their portfolio fit the bill! I'm amazed because we showed up and my 4 year old was in TOTAL melt down mode tears streaming down his face, my husband completely aggravated by having to take pictures on his vacation and the rest of us living with the frustration. I heard about LeLuxe from a friend who was also referred by their friend. I submitted a contact request form on their website and received an email response within a few hours. Kyle provided the pricing details and included all the possible additional fees which was very helpful. I was able to schedule a shoot that worked best for our schedule during our time there. Our photographer, Umida, was fantastic! We told her that we were not comfortable in front of the camera, so she coached us along the way and really made us feel more comfortable. She captured some truly great moments of our family. What I also really appreciated, was that after she had taken photos of us with her ideas, she asked us what types of pictures we would like to get as well. So whatever we had been visualizing for the photoshoot, she allowed us to explore that which was amazing! We received our digital gallery within a few days, before we even left the island which was a pleasant surprise! The gallery was easy to access and navigate and the instructions to select our favorites were clear and accurate. Once we selected our favorites, we received the downloads within a few hours. A couple of days after returning from our trip to Hawaii we received all of our edited photos and were stunned at how well they turned out. We worked with Kyle to setup 2 one hour sessions. One morning session and another session at sunset. He was easy to communicate with and provided all instructions to meet them at 2 different sites close to our hotel which would allow us to get amazing backgrounds. We thought it would be almost impossible to get photos of all the different combinations from our group of 17 (including 5 kids) but Ian and Lena were great at giving us direction and captured all of the moments we were hoping for. I have waited awhile to write this review to calm down. As a bride I know we can feel very passionate about our event but after 6 months this situation is still unacceptable and no bride should ever experience this. ESPECIALLY the purposeful photo bombing their photographer was doing in my guests personal photos throwing up his peace signs in their shots( see attached picture)!!! A disgrace for any wedding photography company. First of all; There never was a contract and I take part to blame for not having Kyle put in writing all that he was promising. At the last minute he either under delivered on promises, made changes or increased expenses. Not something you need the day before your wedding. But I am not going to get into that because the other issues were sooo much worse Second; because his wife is breast feeding he tried to say she would not be there. I had to threaten to cancel because she is the true photographer of the company. Lena has an amazing art for posing the pictures, props and guests perfectly with lighting. I understand the butting of a mother and suggested she pump or take time to feed the baby during the meal and come back for the cake cutting but he said maybe at first but then the night before said no that she would be leaving. In the end the pictures she took were by far the best but she left after the ceremony and we were left with subpar pictures for the reception by Kyle and their replacement photographer who used a terrible light splash style that ruined most of the dancing pictures Third; when we were ready to go exactly on time for our ceremony he tells us to hold on for ten minutes because he needs to set up his equipment to record it. Every professional we hired that day came early to set up their equipment before their start time. Delaying the ceremony 10 minutes for a sunset wedding meant that we had to rush for our pictures afterwards and could only squeeze in a few before the sunset. They brought spotlights to light us up but it was obvious we were under them in the pictures defeating the beautiful sunset we had planned on capturing for most of the shoot. Fourth; they did not even take one picture of myself and my Maid of honor... not one of me and my dad either where we were looking at the camera. The only reason my husband got one is because he asked them to take it. I expect a wedding photographer to know what basic shots to take and for me to not need to coach them. Fifth; I expressed that I did not want to be facing the sun on my special day and Kyle insisted that it was for the best and that my husbands shadow would cover my face. It did not turn out that way and I had to stand on my tip toes so that my eyes would not water and at other points I had to close my eyes, during my own ceremony! And lastly if not by far the worst is the photobombing their photographer was doing in my guests photos of each other. This one made me outright sick to my stomach. There is absolutely nothing funny about that and is beyond disgraceful for a wedding photography company. I use Yelp so that others don't have to experience these situations. I hope this saves another bride from having her special day affected like this. I had high hopes for Leluxe but they are just not professional. It is a home side business that does not serve the needs of a real bride. read more
