    Turkey sandwich. Yum!

I came in for lunch and ate one of the most delicious sandwiches in their upstairs. So fun and quaint. I had no idea they served lunch!

This place is kind of a strange mixture of storefront for specialty items, sometimes a pop-up restaurant and a place for people to rent out and Experiment on recipes for businesses. The few times I've been in the service has been... Let's say lackluster and attentive. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for a friend and no one ever egg knowledge me or talk to me. Weird. On Fridays they have curry for lunch, so we gave it a try. It was OK but I was expecting more for a place that only serves one item once a week. Because I don't think it's got to be exceptional don't you?! I like the idea of the place but somehow the inspiration behind it gets lost in translation of their every day practice.

Say, sort of like Cabin Fever at Trolley Square. Heirloom Art & Co reminds me of Cabin Fever except, even better, they don't have Cabin Fever's high prices. Heirloom is tucked away at The Shops at Riverwoods .... waaaaaay back past all the big restaurants and clothing stores, wedged between a rare bookstore and an antique/consignment shop. If I wasn't going to the store on purpose, I would've missed it. Boy, I'm glad I didn't! To me, the best parts are the books and the "gifts". By "gifts" I mean things like reproductions of old-timey globes, maps, advertisements, and other things for the days of yore. I mean Pendleton-brand 100% wool "motor robes" -- essentially a throw blanket that can be rolled up, belted in, and it has a strap for carrying it wherever life or nature takes you. I mean quilts with maps, countries, or constellations on them. I mean organic facial creams, bath salts and body oils from places like Mullein and Sparrow. I mean "toys for kids" that are really retro things that the parents will love as much (and probably more) than the kids will. As for their books, you'll find classics, history, nature, and kids books. They've even got "Goodnight Moon" in French. Bonsoir Lune! The back half of the store is their meat-and-potatoes sales wise, with fancy, classy art and a lot of religiousy and Mormony things. I imagine this stuff LDSers will love, but I'm only really interested in the stuff up front. Oh, and I got three retro posters for $4 each! I'll be coming back for more!

All nightgown styles I tried had a very frumpy effect, rather than vintage or feminine. I reached out to customer service twice to see if there was anything I could do on my end to take some of the edge off of the 50 dollar sunk cost. I didn't get a response. I understand this is their policy, but the whole thing was incredibly frustrating. I had spent months eyeing these nightgowns as I have tried to find cotton styles, and have found it difficult, so I took a shot. Would never shop here again.

I met with a few florists, but I always left feeling like they either didn't fully understand my vision or weren't willing to work with my budget. Meeting with Foxglove Floral completely changed that. During our Zoom consultation, we went through my entire vision, and for the first time I felt like someone truly saw what I was trying to create. They were just as excited about my ideas as I was. They also took the time to understand my budget and helped me find creative ways to make everything work without sacrificing the overall look I wanted. When I walked into my wedding, I honestly couldn't believe how beautiful everything was. They brought my vision to life even better than I had imagined. Every arrangement, bouquet, and floral detail fit the aesthetic perfectly and made our venue feel absolutely magical. Beyond their incredible talent, the team at Foxglove Floral is genuinely so kind and wonderful to work with. They made the entire process feel easy, collaborative, and exciting from beginning to end. I will forever be grateful to Foxglove Floral for making my wedding day so beautiful. The flowers were everything I dreamed of and more, and I can't thank them enough for helping create a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Miriam and Susie are such a joy to work with and Miriam made sure the class was fun and had awesome vibes. The class size was small enough that you could receive 1 on 1 help and direction, and it was fun to be in the shop after hours for a private event. I also can't recommend Foxglove enough for events! Our Executive team was BLOWN AWAY by the large arrangements Miriam and her team did for us. Such creative, unique, beautiful work. They were so easy to work with start to finish, and came on site for delivery to make sure every arrangement was tweaked to perfection in the space. Love, love, love them!!

I look forward to visiting this store whenever I get a chance when I'm in the area and there are special occasions happening. I LOVE supporting people and companies with such talent and I just love the service and talent they provide. My favorite thing to purchase here are the various balloon bouquets they have! I am always amazed by how gorgeous each set turns out with all the colors and designs they have! The receiver of a balloon gift is always so happy and they feel so celebrated! Tips when buying balloon bouquets: * Make sure you have enough room in your car. I put down the seats in my car to have enough room. * Make sure your car isn't hot inside and that the balloons don't touch the outside of your car trunk when putting them inside your vehicle. They can pop from the heat. * Best part is you can choose from a wide variety of color combinations! I would be prepared with a color scheme in mind.

I want to be a…read morebaby and mention that I was into them long before it was cool, but admittedly, have ramped up my hobby, and am currently 100+ plants in, on the way to turning my entire house into a jungle. For the last few months, I have heard mention of Planted Earth Floral from various members of a plant group in which I participate. The "Floral" really throws you off, as I would assume they are a florist, rather than a mostly-antiques-with-a-side-of-houseplants-shop. When I heard they had some long sought String of Turtles in stock, I made the drive down to Orem. They are located right off State Street, in a beautiful Victorian brick house. The facade is cluttered with décor: signage, furniture, garden statues, and other large decorations. The interior arrangement of goods matches that, but it is in the charming way where you never quite know what you will discover. When I walked in, a gentleman was at the front desk looking at his phone. He looked at me, more than once, but without a smile or any sort of greeting. Thus, it felt awkward looking at the goodies in that immediate area (and there was a doozy of a jewelry collection). I wandered through the rest of the store noting lots of great stuff: Victorian fur coats (and plenty of other vintage clothing), candy colored depression glass, beautiful pottery, prints, and all the staples one would hope to find, but I was on a mission, and only gave it a cursory glance. Plants are housed in a little greenhouse, and it is not a particularly large area, but they have some real treasures! Many common plants, but plenty that feel more special, like the aforementioned String of Turtles, Prince of Orange and Birkin Philodendrons, several varieties of Alocasias (even trendy Black Velvet!), Calatheas, etc. Many sizes, in hanging and standard pots, macramé hangers, etc. I was very pleased, and tempted by many, but only have so much space, so forced myself to stick with the plant for which I visited. Prices are comparable to other area nurseries, and I think the same could be said for their antiques. When I paid for my purchase, the same gentleman who had been at the front when I arrived assisted me, and he was as nice as could be! He shared care tips for my baby, and told me about the little tree frog they have living in their terrarium. So don't be put off if your encounter initially feels unfriendly. So far, my SOT is living the good life in a terrarium I crafted at the store owner's recommendation, and he seems happy as can be. Planted Earth is an excellent option for a lesser-known nursery that just might surprise you with your wish list plant.
