I'm sort of over Len Collective. I've been going there since they started, buying random pieces of jewelry, my eldest wedding earrings, a leather billfold, a purse, and many cards. I went in yesterday to only buy a card. I decided to check out some gold hoops as I've been wishing for some. I had just dropped a few bucks at Mountain Air on some bindings for skis and I had gone for an early morning run prior, so I was casual, as usual. And as what seems to be the usual there, some young pretentious gal offered to help me. I asked her the price on a couple gold filled basic hoops and the price was so high I figured I should just go pure gold for that. Out of curiosity, I asked how much the gold hoops are and she condescendingly explained that pure gold is more than filled. I remained myself and waited for the cost to be announced. I was feeling a familiar judgement I've experienced there in the last couple years. I bought the two cards and left. Went across the street and got some lovely gold filled hoops for daily wear at half the cost. I think I'll get some put gold ones too. But not from Len Collective. Assumptive young sales girls bore me. read more

If you come here looking for a treasure to add a little something special to your wardrobe, give yourself extra time to really look. There is so much to see! The process went smoothly. I just remembered where the items that I wanted to see were located and then the sales associate brought them out on a tray so that I could see them in the mirror. The style of jewelry reminded me of what artisans would create in Santa Cruz. A style that I really love. read more

I love this place. A few months ago in March I bought a Maison Louis Marie travel Spray. When I got home and opened the packaging, most of the perfume was gone and the bottle was missing a spray nozzle. The staff at Len Collective responded to my emails inquiring about an exchange immediately and I was able to quickly exchange my bottle for a new one. The process was easy and stress free. I recently stopped in, and DANG! I was so impressed by how beautifully organized and lovely the establishment is! I loved that the jewelry is handmade and most items aside from that seemed handcrafted as well! They have an adorable corner with children's books, clothes etc. I adored that! Overall loved the cleanliness and organization of the store and the fact that they have a variety of unique, and handmade items alike, Will definitely be coming back! Now this review is not on the store itself, but about the employees working this evening. My good friend and myself decided to walk into the store around 540 PM. This store is not really my type of store, but we went in because my friend enjoys boutique gift shops.The vibe right off the back seemed odd, I couldn't put my finger on why i felt weird. The blonde girl that was working did not greet us(at least I did not hear a hello) nor did she offer any assistances while we were browsing. I am a very observant person, I am always aware of my surroundings. I noticed that every time I looked up, the employee was watching me, I thought that maybe I was being paranoid; I quickly realized I was wrong. The other customer ( a young blonde girl) asked to try on some shoes and the employee proceeded to walk to the back to grab the correct size. As the customer was trying on the shoe I noticed the employee once again watching me, not really paying attention to the other customers needs. This was starting to annoy me. My friend and I decide to leave, but as we are walking towards the door, we stop at the jewelry case up against the wall and admired the beautiful jewelry. Like I had said previously, I am very observant, so I notice the employee walking around the areas that my friend and myself had stopped to look at items. To me it looked like the employee was checking to make sure my friend and myself did not steal anything. If I wanted to, I could buy anything in this store, I have no desire or reason to steal! We leave the store and my friend and myself both agree that the employee watched us the entire time we were in the store, thats not ok, I will not stand for racial profiling! read more

Gorgeous place for the bohemian minimalists out there. Most stores that have items like they do mainly sell overly expensive clothes in a boutique. It's nice to see a whole store like this. I love their jewelry and have been shopping here for a while. Unfortunately after wearing a ring for only about it a month it broke and I took it in to get repaired. I was hoping since it was an easy fix and fairly new they would do it for free since the ring itself was not cheap but instead they charged me $5 plus tax to basically glue the ring back together (it looks bad) and it took about a month to return the ring to me. I'm very disappointed. I love supporting local businesses but with this policy it seems as if they don't like supporting locals! read more

Great selection of gifts and items for myself. It's one of the best shops in SLO and easily on the same level as boutique shops in cities like SF, LA, Chicago, and NYC. You'll find quality items from great indie brands. 4/5 stars because some of the items I can find at other shops are $3-4 more expensive here. This store is amazing. So many great, quality items collected - jewelry, shoes, baby items, bags. I would give it 5 stars, but the store clerk working this past Saturday was neither helpful nor nice. She overcharged my friend and then overcharged me and gave us no receipts. I realized this halfway driving back home, but being that I am from out of town, it was too late to rectify. I take responsibility for not being aware. It was just a bummer. I will return next time I'm in town, just hoping to see a different face greet me. read more

I have nothing negative to say other than every time I leave town, I end up wishing I'd spent more time in their store. Inevitably I get a rush of adrenaline and forget to look at everything while there. This is my new favorite place to visit while in SLO these last two annual visits. Cool collection of jewelry, home decor, personal items and baby gifts. I did not experience anything similar to the reviews about their staff - I believe the gal who helped me was Shaylee and she was great with me and I could overhear (it's a small shop) her interaction with a customer who brought in something to return with no receipt or tag. She handled it very professionally. This visit I bought a gold fill ring (and they have a nice selection of high end designer jewelry, too) and last time artisan scissors which I love so much. I visited Shannon's shop when I was in SLO last month. Super cute atmosphere, lots of nifty items and jewelry. I have a friend who is really into pocket knives and her birthday is coming up, and there was had a nice little collection of interesting looking knives. I wasn't quite prepared to buy one right there on the spot, so after I got back to my hometown I perused her online site. The knives weren't on there, so I sent her an email. She immediately emailed me back with photos of all the pieces and prices and such. I figured out which one I wanted and paid her via PayPal. She only charged me $5.00 for shipping and it arrived 2 days later in a nice little box with cute wrapping paper. I am thoroughly impressed with Shannon's customer service and will definitely be using her store as one of my go-to's when I do any online shopping in the future! read more
