What can I say? Exceptional service with tremendous results deserves an exceptional review for an outstanding team. My experience with LendLA was nothing short of seamless and amazing. When my wife and I decided to reach out to Justin, (a business acquaintance from a previous loan and true professional) we had no idea the benefit that would follow. But this review is more helpful to the public if I discuss the process which is truly the most important aspect of any finance or refinance in the home buying experience. Communication was stellar. Justin, Arash, and Tessa were on top of it. I never expect instant emails nor should anyone as that is just unrealistic. However, when my wife and I had a question, a concern or a document to send in wrapping up a specific requirement, we received communication and confirmation very fast after the fact. Sometimes that was in minutes, other times within the hour and that is dedicated customer service. Seamless. The entire process was efficient, and the process was simple. It became routine in our negotiations and emails. My wife and I would supply the required documents. And we would wait, get confirmation and receive approval and the green light to proceed to the next step. This was the entire experience during our refinance. I do not recall any issues, we had none. Justin, Arash and Tessa did an outstanding job while assisting my wife and I. We felt comfortable, at peace, and LendLA has most definitely gained our trust. So, in conclusion. I will start by saying Justin DID close our loan, but only because we strong-armed him into it. The first red flag was that after rushing to provide all the requested docs within 24 hours of the request and uploading them all to Dropbox, TEN days later his office wrote to say they couldn't access them. This is *during escrow*. Then he repeatedly disappeared, not returning calls, texts or emails for days on end. Or replying "working on it" and never getting back to us. He was busy promoting his agent events, but we would easily go a week without hearing back, no matter how much we reached out, very nervous with zero information. Again this is all during our escrow. Then comes the fun part. We finally get him on the phone and he says he can't close the loan. No ideas about ways we could make it work, just "I can't". Thankfully an agent friend had an idea, and WE called Justin with a solution that allowed us to work around the issue. He was not happy about it, and made several negative personal remarks about us to our agent which was really unprofessional. Then he finally gave us the go ahead to remove our loan contingency, and for weeks we were "closing any day" but he remained impossible to reach and generally just really bad at communicating what was going on. All in all our 30 day escrow took 60 days (and probably a few months off our lives). We only didn't lose the property with the luck of being a single offer with a patient seller-- in any other situation we surely would have lost us the property die to their slow moving office. After it closed we never heard anything back. I guess we expected a "we know that was tough, but we are happy we made it happen". No, just radio silence and a form post card a month later. I'm sure he is fine if you have an easy case, but we don't-- we make income from various properties and are a bit complicated (like most of us are) but we've purchased several homes and nothing has come close to the poor experience we had with Justin. read more

We own our own business so the underwriting process was not a super easy one but Justin was up to the task and truly made it happen at the exact rate and loan amount we were looking for (it wasn't easy). Please BEWARE! This is our third refi. We never had any problems; we're experienced. We also have other properties. He was originally referred to us. Turns out another person had similar issues as us. Justin started our refi in August. Everything went smoothly and we were ready to close and he disappeared; no communication whatsoever to our emails or calls. He said our case was complicated when we finally connected. We literally had to go to the Registrars office ourselves because he didn't pull the correct title. Then he assured us since we showed what he needed it should close immediately. Instead his boss called offering a different loan at a much higher rate! I wish you luck. Please beware! Justin is a nice guy but clearly not very experienced.
