I moved home from Houston in 1983 and through a series of buyouts, I ended up with Wachovia Bank…read morethat later got bought out by First Union but kept Wachovia's name for reasons I won't name and then Wells Fargo later bought it. So, I have been there a long long time. At some point long ago, when the rules changed, I was grandfathered in for a free safety deposit box. But then when the branch that I banked at closed, after a couple years the new location decided to start charging me for the safety deposit box because I changed the location of my safety deposit box, and I might add NOT through a choice of my own. And even the reduced $25 fee was too high but when I complained online somewhere they did reimburse me for it but I don't know what they're going to do next time the annual fee rolls around and if they will charge me the full fee because I was never once told that the grandfather clause was rescinded! I was clearly told they were charging me because I changed the location of my safety deposit box! And then they decided to start charging $30 to get 60 checks and an additional somewhere around $15 for shipping and handling so I could no longer afford that. And then without even asking or telling me, they changed me to Everyday Banking because I could no longer maintain their minimum daily balance of $1,500. I am retired. And now all of a sudden because I can't maintain a $1,500 daily balance, they will start charging me $15 a month for my checking account. I can't afford them anymore.

Had three payments taken form my account related to an Advert on Apple iPhone, total rip off,…read more$95.66. never received any goods or services, the web site is "https://furvista.com". Complained to WFB, had a temporary credit given, I sent them the web page attached, I have never received any goods or communication from https://furvista.com. Supplied them with website, Advised not to use the site because it was a scam site, Sent this to WFB. Today I am told as a more than decade customer, the on-site sent the goods. I understand that every year WFB & BoA compete for the "Biggest Turd in The Sewer" WFB are certainly the biggest turd this year. Perhaps the "Claims assistance service is the Scam site." They are certainly not interested in their customer, I should have used Amex for the advert on iPhone. With Amex there is NO messing about.

Bank of America Financial Center - me! not a man, no beard. they again did not bother to look. just pumped out a letter accusing me.

The State of California EDD issues benefit payments for Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave,…read moreand Unemployment Insurance claims using the EDD Visa Debit Card issued by BofA. Let me say this first. Someone made a snide comment that my benefits are from taxpayers' money. Yes and I have been paying into the fund for years. In 2020 alone, I have paid $11,000 into SDI. If you qualify for EDD benefits, take every advantage in doing so. Follow my surgery, I received approval for SDI and my debit card arrived in about a week. There's no embossed imprint with your name, just the account and cvv numbers. No chip either. You activate the card with the toll-free number and create a pin. Important points and tips: The customer representatives of BofA are very helpful. The bank has nothing to do with your benefits. If you have questions about benefits, contact EDD. You can make free cash withdrawals from BofA ATMs There's a fee if you don't use their ATM. You cannot add cash to the account. If you use the card for a purchase and decide you want a refund, it will not reverse to the card. You and the merchant have to resolve it. You can have your payments automatically transferred to your own bank checking account. This cannot be done online. You have to call and request it. Have your routing and account number ready. After your benefits end, keep the card. In case you reapply for EDD benefits within one year, the card will still be active.
