However it was not very pleasant that the single person on site demanded the title and keys and provided no receipt, documentation or even identification. I felt exposed until I got a confirmation email (30 min later). The fact that I would get an email and not have to wait 2 days until I received the deposit for any receipt was not explained. I absolutely do not recommend buying a car from Carvana. I purchased a 2019 BMW 4 Series Convertible in May 2026. Before buying the car, I noticed in the listing photos that the convertible top open/close button inside the car was broken. I contacted Carvana's support, and they told me not to worry because it would be repaired under the SilverRock warranty. Based on that assurance, I went ahead with the purchase. When the car was delivered, I immediately noticed that it had far more scratches than were shown in the listing photos. That's when I also learned that Carvana only allows you to submit three cosmetic concerns during the 7-day period. I used those three claims for the scratches and the broken roof button, only to be told that the issues were either visible before purchase or considered normal wear and tear, so none of them qualified for repair. Carvana also advertises a 150-point inspection, but my car clearly had not been properly inspected or serviced. The brakes squealed, the parking brake squealed, each wheel was missing one lug bolt, one of the springs in the convertible top mechanism was broken, and, most importantly, the entire audio system didn't work. After further diagnosis, it turned out the amplifier had been damaged by water and had completely failed. To be fair, SilverRock did cover most of the mechanical repairs under the warranty, and I appreciate that. However, I would not trust Carvana's claim that every vehicle goes through a thorough 150-point inspection. Based on my experience, that simply wasn't true. I also wouldn't rely on promises that cosmetic issues will be repaired. In my case, almost everything was dismissed as "normal wear and tear." Overall, I feel misled. I originally loved the idea of buying a car online, but this experience completely changed my opinion. Looking back, it was a mistake, and I would not buy another vehicle from Carvana again. read more

I was not impressed with my experience and will likely reconsider purchasing another vehicle from Carvana in the future. While the issues were not significant enough to warrant returning the vehicle, I was disappointed in several aspects of the process and condition of the car: At delivery, the driver would not allow me to scan the signed documents without first confirming with her supervisor. I was only attempting to scan documents I had already signed. During my initial inspection, I noticed the left wheel well liner was loose and not properly attached to the fender. The vehicle was extremely dirty beneath the rear glass, and there was still visible food and drink residue between the front and rear seats. A jack and tire-changing tools were not included. When I asked, I was told these are considered removable items and are not replaced by Carvana. The front and rear tires are different sizes and brands. The rear tires are worn and show signs of dry rot. I understand this may fall outside of Carvana's policy, but it is still concerning. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the customer service and overall quality of this purchase. This experience will factor into my future decisions and any discussions I have with others about Carvana Overall, I am not pleased with the customer service portion of my purchase and will consider this in the future and when discussing Carvana with others. read more

I recently (as in 05/03/26) purchased a 2018 Subaru Forester. The online and delivery process went well. "G" (from the Raleigh Carvana) was pleasant and knowledgeable when delivering the vehicle. I was disappointed that the car did not come with a full tank of gas, which a dealership would have done. But that is a small thing in the grand scheme of things. Being the Doubting Thomasina that I am, I had the local Subaru dealership inspect it today to make sure it was "as advertised" so I could make an informed decision about whether to "Love it or Leave it" within the seven day, full refund window. I am glad I did. I discovered that two of the tires had dry rotted, two were close to bald (225/60/17), and the front disc brakes were at 3 mm with the whole vehicle being out of alignment. The head purchaser of all used cars at the local Subaru dealership stated that they would not have bought ANY car in that state, and would NEVER have attempted to sell it in that condition. They also said it was $7000 over KBB. I checked. It IS $7000 over KBB! I contacted Carvana and was connected Silver Roc, the company the underwrites Carvana's 100 day limited warrant. They gave me the option of having the car re-evaluated by one of their in-network Auto Care Centers (I chose Firestone in Winterville, NC) and they would pay for a one hour diagnostic. Trevor at Firestone got me the first available slot at 10 am on 05/06/26. I contacted Carvana on 05/05/26 and spoke with Stacy, who was delightful. She was concerned about findings on the inspection and extended the 7 day warranty to 05/12/26 to give Silver Roc time to evaluate the inspection results from their in-network auto care center, scheduled at Firestone in Winterville, NC on 05/06/26. Stacy also helped to arrange for the Forester to be transported by B & D Towing from my home to Firestone Auto Care Centers (Winterville, NC) given the state of the tires. Update: After having the car reinspected (on 05/06/26) by Firestone Auto Care Center (which is in-network for Silver Roc, the warranty company for Carvana)--Trevor rocks btw, he has the patience of Job--it has been determined that the rotors are shot in addition to the brakes and the tires. Trevor spent FOUR hours (intermittently) on the phone with Silver Roc, providing pictures, measurements, anything they requested. Silver Roc agreed to cover the cost of replacing the rotors and brakes but refused the tires as there were areas that had a 4-32nd depth on the tires which is the minimum depth for The Carvana warranty they underwrite. The fact that the wear is uneven, going from 3-32nds to 4-32nds depending on where you measure, there are plugs, patches, and actual NAILS in the tires AND they are dry-rotted was not considered reason enough to replace the tires. Silver Roc will not cover the cost of replacement tires but "is working to find another car care center that will fix them." The tires are the ORIGINAL tires (making them 8 years old) that it was sold with in 2018 (hence the dry rot) and have been patched and plugged to the point of resembling Frankenstein's Monster. These tires wouldn't pass a NC State Inspection unless the inspector was drunk, high, and blind. I'm not sure they would pass even under those circumstances. Jordan, the newest "Carvana Advocate" of this slow moving disaster, stated that I can either keep the car and get the rotors & brakes fixed under the warranty and eat the cost of new tires or return the car since it is still within the 7 day money back guarantee window. I'm truly trying to make this work but Carvana is doubling down on the tires "passing their inspection." They are willing to lose a sale over replacing a set of tires. My bigger concern is that WHEN I return the car, instead of fixing the issues, they will sell it to some poor unsuspecting schmuck who gets hit with a $2000+ bill for new tires, new rotors, new brakes, and a full body alignment or worse, goes to drive it home and the tires explode. In continuation of the on going trainwreck: I contacted Carvana last night to return the Forester. Kirstie, the Carvana Advocate I was connected to, was also horrified that the car still had its original factory tires. she suggested putting in a request for a reevaluation of the claim to the limited warranty team internally and requesting Silver Roc re-evaluate the tire claim, internally. Which we did. The 7 day return policy was extended to May 15. I am now waiting to hear the status of the claim decision. While customer service (baring Jordan) has been phenomena, the overall process has been needlessly stressful. Regardless of whether I ultimately keep the vehicle or not, Carvana will not be on my list of companies I will EVER consider buying from again. read more

I browse the cars for sale and shocks me the interior condition of truck bedliners and rear hatchbacks on Suv's are dirty and uncleaned. And they want to steer people into financing. Where is the "pay cash" option? Hidden, because that is where they make their money. Also, no way am I paying 24000 on a 10 year old car. What could improve when purchasing a car from CARVANA? here's a list; 1. Remove third party services and the chatbot. There is a third party finance company, there is a third party vehicle service network, there's even a third party "customer advocate" group. It is impossible to visit the place of purchase to resolve ANY issue encountered after the initial purchase. 2. Extend the 7 day/400 miles "customer satisfaction" grace period after purchase. Two days after purchasing the car from CARVANA I had to do a 385 mile road trip for work. This consumed the 400 miles instantly. The "customer advocate" did extend the mileage limit however this also extended the timing for completion of the sales documents. (DMV Registration) 3. In 30 days I have had a total of 18 calls to every one of CARVANA'S third party services. The calls have either been to resolve an unexpected issue with this car or follow-up on e-mail notifications that are unclear. 4. The chatbot ultimately suggests that you log-on to the CARVANA website for additional assistance. The"additional assistance" sought has each time resulted in the necessity of a further phone call. This has been the most aggravating car purchase I have ever experienced in 40+ years of different car ownerships. I regret that I chose to be a CARVANA customer. Doug W read more

The purchasing process with Carvana was seamless--shockingly easy, in fact. Pickup was also a great experience, and James in the Conway, SC office was wonderful and helpful. I was ready to leave a glowing review. But shortly after picking up the car, we took it to a Volkswagen dealership for an inspection and discovered an oil leak. SilverRock (Carvana's warranty partner) initially told the dealership to proceed with diagnostics and that they would cover it. Once the problem was diagnosed and fixed, SilverRock informed us there was a $350 deductible and that we were to contact Carvana for a reimbursement. When I contacted them, they told me they don't do that. I tried to get someone on the phone and that was denied too. We had literally just picked up the car. Being hit with a repair bill immediately after purchase is unacceptable and completely soured the experience. This was a pre-owned car, yes--but no one should have to deal with a surprise repair cost right out of the gate. It's disgraceful, and I'll never buy from Carvana again. read more

The good. Vehicle price and availability. Buying process was easy but there were a few surprises. Carvana provided I high degree of communication during the buying process. Delivery and pick up were within the time window selected. The representative was friendly and efficient. 7 day test drive allowed time to have my mechanic look it over and get a good feel for the vehicle. The annoying. Scheduled delivery and pick up of a trade in after selecting the date was notified that I needed to provide proof of insurance with the new vin listed.purchase was on a Friday night and delivery scheduled for Sunday evening. Luckily my agent was able to get it to us, but that should have been clear prior to scheduling delivery. The bad. Vehicle seemed to be delivered in an as is condition; the windshield was smudged, oil life appears to be at half life, tire pressure was low on all tires and very low on one. Additionally, based on the level of communication during the buying process expected that to continue , but there was nothing during the 7-day test drive. Mine ended on a Sunday. Reached out with a question after the 7 day period and about a missing feature listed for the vehicle (listed Navigation, but delivered without the navigation SD card) and the chat bot says that now it is an out of pocket expense and visit a local dealership or manufacturer to purchase a replacement ($500 expense). There was no email, txt, or call to say your test drive expires at x time or to inquire if there were any issues w the vehicle. But day 8, I was contacted multiple time by the loan servicing company. All in all not bad.. May buy from them again but be sure to check everything within that 7 day period. read more
