After the flood, we faced restoration work, and after frustrating delays, and conversations from "restoration services" that said they could "come close" but actually left more damage in their wake, I stopped crying and decided to call Brad to see if he would be willing to take on this job. Brad came out quickly, took careful measurements, and said "I think we can fix this." Rather than offering "maybe" and "close match," he was able to rebuild and replace missing cabinets and trim strips with exact matches on the finish, while protecting what remained of our kitchen. Throughout the process, Melinda in the front office fielded numerous texts and questions from me promptly, with both precision and good humor, and kept me updated on all scheduling. Every person who came through our door during this process was highly skilled, on time, polite, professional, and respectful of our property. Our lead technician, Tannor, and the Kitchen Solvers team made everything fit seamlessly, updating and finishing everything so that it looks exactly like it what it looked like - and actually works better than - it did before disaster struck. Tannor took extra time at every step of the process to make sure everything was adjusted perfectly and looked great. He addressed every concern, and went above and beyond, finding replacement parts that I thought couldn't exist. If you are considering a kitchen makeover in these difficult times when parts availability and shipping issues are unavoidable, consider this: from start to finish, you truly cannot ask for more reliable, professional, and respectful humans to be working in your home every day. I also felt that the pricing for the products and refacing was very good. Melinda and Tracy were excellent to work with. They kept us informed on the timeline events of the project and kept open communications. Unfortunately, my experience with the cabinet and drawer refacing was much more difficult. The workers assigned to my project appeared to have limited experience with kitchen cabinet and drawer refacing. David was the most knowledgeable and did a good job considering the situation. As a result, there were several mistakes and instances of damage that required correction, which added considerable time and frustration to the project. What was particularly disappointing was that I did not feel I had been adequately informed beforehand about the level of experience of the workers who would be performing the refacing. Had I understood this in advance, I would have had the opportunity to ask questions or reconsider how I wanted the work handled. Rather than being a smooth and straightforward renovation, the refacing portion became a stressful and time-consuming process. I appreciate that mistakes can happen during any renovation, but I believe clear communication and transparency with the customer are especially important when the people performing the work are still developing their skills. I am sharing this feedback because I believe Kitchen Solvers has good products and competitive pricing, and I hope my experience can help improve the customer experience for others in the future. In particular, I would encourage greater transparency regarding who will be performing the work and their level of experience, as well as stronger oversight and quality control during the installation process. Overall, while I am pleased with the countertop, sink, cooktop, backsplash, and pricing, I cannot say that the cabinet refacing experience met my expectations. My wife and I were renovating our master bathroom, and we had been through hundreds upon hundreds of pre-made vanities online of all price levels. We just couldn't seem to decide on anything. We also went to Lowes and sat down with the bathroom design guy there, but we were frustrated with the lack of available options. Lowes literally only has 5 cabinet options to chose from. When we walked into Discount Granite, Mark sat down and talked us though our cabinet options, and we walked around their warehouse and looked at a bunch of beautiful slabs of granite and marble they have there for you to see and touch. It was a completely different experience than going to Lowes or fooling around online, and Mark's expertise and suggestions were invaluable along the way. Now we have a beautiful, modern, custom designed vanity cabinet with a perfectly cut black granite custom countertop, and it actually cost less than some of the pre-made stuff my wife was looking at online. If you are fooling around online looking at vanities or kitchen cabinets you should check this place out, they will save you time and help you decide!
