Had glasses made here twice, and both times they've hit it out of the park. First set were prescription that were also transition glasses. I always wanted a pair like this, and I was impressed with how great they were. The other week, my eyes changed and I had to add the ability of reading glasses to them. Called to make an appointment today, the guys who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional. He didn't help out as much and he sounded like he didn't care. Finally made an appointment but I had to cancel it since something came up so I called back and he answered. He already knew who I was so he said ok and hung up but didn't even care. He didn't try to reschedule the appointment and was just rude overall. I called back because I needed them to release my Medical Benefits and another lady answered and I asked her if they can release it and she was so rude and said we are doing it right now. The Dr and her husband are very nice. Just be sure you are sure about the glasses u want as they give no refunds. I spent close to 300 on a pair of bifocals that didn't work out. I brought them back and was only able to get a much cheaper pair of single vision and no refund for the difference. Disappointed. Will not be returning in the future. read more

Everything went great! She's amazing in her optometry work. She found that I had pressure building up in my eyes and sent me to Morris eye group, which was an excellent referral. Many if caught it, wouldn't care to make a competent referral. I've been going here for lenses for about five -six years. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my eyes, and I'm picky. When I couldn't frame I needed, I asked if I could buy frame online and she refused. Said she would not help me. Then when I had glasses made somewhere else we found she had given me incorrect prescription. Now I just have to pay someone else to redo exam. read more

Brought my elderly father in to get an eye exam and everyone was super accommodating. He has mobility issues, is hard of hearing and has dementia. The doctor was very patient with him and went out of her way to make him feel comfortable. We ended up taking the prescription to Costco for the glasses instead, but I would definitely recommend Insight Vision if you need to get an eye exam! Wonderful staff! read more

This is an update to my earlier review of 5 stars. My review was from my first experience prior to picking up my order. I now completely agree with Miguel E( poster below). No prices posted on frames. Overcharged for frame that was 49.95 online and they charged me $250.00, not to mention they are not the frames I chose for the glasses! I went to see Dr. Thach a few months ago. Everything seemed right until she gave me an extremely high quote on eyeglasses. Seems like she sets her prices based on your insurance limit. One will notice that none of the frames have prices on them. She was charging me $250 for a RayBan frame that was $147 on the RayBan website. She did not like it when I brought this up and her attitude changed completely towards me. At this point I felt like she was taking advantage of me. I went to LensCrafters and got the same frame for $150. I get it, she has to make her money somehow. The reason for the 1 star review is that I called to get some help to order contacts online. She gave me an oldschool hand written prescription for my contacts. I was ordering online and had some trouble understanding how to read the prescription. I called to get some help understanding how to read it & order online. The girl at the front was very nice & willing to help. Then Dr. Thach jumped on the phone & was extremely rude, her tone was very aggressive. She said "I already gave you your prescription we are done with you" she clearly doesn't care about her patients. She cares about your money. If you do not order from her & her high prices she will be extremely rude. It could have taken her 2 minutes to walk me through on how to order my contacts online based on her prescription. She could have invested those 2 minutes to explain me how to order properly and not get the wrong contacts. She chose to be rude and very unprofessional, why would anyone go to an optometrist that acts completely irresponsible and does not care about her patients. Oh and if you lose your prescription & need a new one to be "hand written" be ready to pay $10 dollars. Will never go back to her & will tell my friends and family to stay away from that place. If you do decide to go there, ask for prices before you provide them with your insurance information. She will check your benefits and juice them up. read more

I really like this place. The doctor is awesome, personable and sweet. Especially Lucy the receptionist. I broke my frames for the first time and couldn't get to the doctor, due to a pinched nerve. I am only a block away and Lucy was sweet enough to pick up my broken frames during her running errands, brought them back to my home on her way home. I've worn glasses for the last 20 years but today was my first visit to Insight Vision Optometry, they are by far the best optometrist I've ever been to. Everyone in the office was courteous and friendly! Lucy (front desk staff) and the doctor (sorry I forgot her name) were amazing. They actually made an optometrist visit fun! They were even nice enough to help us out with some of the cost that our insurance did not cover. They have a great selection of frames and are reasonably priced. I highly recommend staying away from this place. My sisters family is struggling for money but still needed glasses for one of my nieces. Their insurance covers glasses, but instead of showing the glasses within their price range the worker shows the child a really expensive pair that the family can't afford. So they end up with this expensive pair of glasses that promptly broke within a week and that they won't replace. So I call to get the the pupil distance for my niece to buy her some glasses online for back-up and they refuse to give it out. I understand that they have a business to run, but we had spent hundreds of dollars there already for a cheap pair of glasses and that doesn't include what the insurance paid also. We won't be going there and I will definitely be warning friends and family from this business. Update: I ended up taking my niece to a different optometrist and they gave me the prescription and the pupil distance so I could buy extra glasses online along with the ones in their store. They informed me that the pupil distance is part of the prescription. The prescription we got from Insight Visoin was completely different then the one we got from the new optometrist which is also very upsetting. I understand that insight is a small business that needs to make money, but bad customer service isn't the way. read more

I go to Dr Thach for all of my vision needs, glasses, contacts & sunglasses. I like that she runs her practice efficiently, each time I've been there the office is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and attentive. What I like most about Insight Vision Optometry is knowing that I am getting superior service and quality lenses. The lenses here are the best I've tried by far! She offers a great frame and lens warranty, although I've never had any problems. There's a wide selection of frames which is always a plus! I absolutely love this place! Very happy with the doctor, service and everything about our recent purchase of glasses for my 14 year old daughter. The doctor took the time to do tests that my daughter has never had done before with her eye tests in the past and before I even mentioned the recent problem that she was having with light sensitivity since the doctor did these different tests she asked us if my daughter had sensitivity to light [which she did ]. She was at a different optometrist three months previously [and has been to quite a few in the last eight years] and due to this test [one was in the dark so she could not only test the vision but see how her pupils dilated, she realized my daughters pupils weren't reacting right to the light. The glasses my daughter now has are not only beautiful [and she liked a lot of them, was hard to choose], perfect for her vision, but now with the little bit of tint she no longer has the sensitivity to light that was really bothering her. The doctor even helped my daughter pick out her glasses! once my daughter narrowed her choice of eyeglasses down to four pair, and suggested a couple that fit my daughter's face a little better. WHAT doctor takes the time, after the eye test to actually look at the glasses with you???? Love it! The people at the desk are super nice too! Try this place, I'm telling all my friends to go there. I have been a patient here for the last 6 years can say that Dr. Thach and Lucy are phenomenal! Dr. really knows her stuff and explains what you want to know in easy terms so you clearly understand. I created my yelp account just to say how much I like this business. My son's glasses were broken & my then eye doctor said it would take 2 weeks for a replacement. I started calling around to find someone who could replace them quicker. I called Dr. Thach who scheduled an immediate eye exam & was able to get a replacement pair overnight. She understood the ins & outs of my vision insurance and ended up conducting very thorough eye exams of my entire family. This is a TERRIBLE optometrist office. I went there and the people in front of us were getting yelled at just because they complained about their lenses being the wrong magnification. The doctor then had a temper outburst, yelled at them, and then kicked them out but not before snatching the glasses away from the patient.
