This is the best place to go for a pair of quality glasses. I have been here 4 times and they have been so helpful, nice selection of frames. Some designer frames but I have found there is something here for everyone in my family. I went to about 6 different optical stores looking for just a normal pair of glasses that looked good and didn't break the bank. I found some of the same exact frames here for $49 that two other stores tried to charge more than double. These guys are honest, when they tell you the glasses will be done, they were. Kevin is great, so nice and helpful and also Phyllis was always smiling but would help you with anything you asked. I got prada frames with progressive transition lenses and they really worked hard to help me get used to them and they were much less then the other places I went to. I have been to two of the stores. I like the one in San Marcos better than Oceanside. The San Marcos store seemed to have more frames and looked a little neater. So here's the thing, this place can repair a few problems. like fixing frames, replacing them, and attaching lens, but if the temple or hinge are broken, no can do, if you do need those specific repairs though, hit up Hot Shots in CarlsBad, he can glue the new hinges on your sun/glasses and in 10 to 20 minutes, tops. read more

I took my mother-in-law to Lens 4 Less to get two new pairs of glasses, and repair a couple of old pairs. Sabrina fixed both pairs in 5 minutes, and we had her new glasses ordered in just a few minutes. My mother in law no longer is permitted to drive, and we asked about shipping the new glasses to her, which the shop is willing to do. However, Sabrina went above and beyond and offered to bring the glasses to her and adjust the glasses in home, since she only lives a couple miles away, I'm so glad I read the Yelp reviews and selected this store over Lenscrafters. You cannot get this kind of service in a big conglomerate store, and the prices were as good, if not better, than Costco, without dealing with the nightmare of Costco! read more

Great service! It beat the price of Costco! I was looking for the highest density lenses available (1.74)for my very high eyeglass prescription. Costco did not have the 1.74 high-density lenses. When I called Lens 4 Less, they had the 1.74 high-density available for $200. When I got to the store, Kevin was able to beat his own price and gave me a quote for $189. Who beats their own price? That's unheard of! I was able to use my frames I purchased outside without any additional cost. Costco charges an additional fee for using outside frames . I got my eye glasses within 10 days and they were perfect! Kevin says if I break the lenses for some reason he would be able to replace it at a discount. read more

So I drive up and it's 100 pm the sign says back at 200 pm and 90 degrees in my car. I'm desperate, I throw my arms up thinking what am I going to do now. Sabrina must have seen this. I have had their O'side and San Marcos store do lenses for several different frames. They have always been helpful, reasonably priced and quick. In fact, I asked them to rush a pair for me one time because I was leaving on a trip and they were happy to do it. It seems like bad word of mouth always yells much louder than the good, so I wanted to give them my support for yelp readers. A few months ago, I stopped in here to get my eyeglasses adjusted on my lunch hour and was so impressed with the quick, kind (and gratis) service, I vowed to get my new glasses there when it was time. I recently got two new pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses, and love them all. I was told 7-10 days to get them done, but after 4 days I was called to say that the lab had broken a lens, so it would take more time. I believe it was only 3 days later that everything was ready. I now brought back 3 new online frames I purchased and was able to get my prescription lenses for only $55 apiece (including the anti-glare coating). I needed a pair of glasses, and started with Warby Parker choosing 5 glasses for me to checkout at home. Before they can send the sample, I need an eye glass prescription. I called Kevin at Lens 4 Less, seeing if they do eye exams. Kevin told me they do not, but I can go to Walmart Vision Center and get the exam for roughly $50. I did that, and rather than finishing my trial sample with Warby Parker, I decided to give Kevin a visit at his shop. I went today to take a look at their selection, and in speaking to Kevin, I found out they were way cheaper than Warby Parker, and had more of a selection. To be honest, I did not know what to expect once I visited the shop. In speaking to Kevin once I got there, I noticed he really listened to what I was looking for, and he was able to quickly share the total cost of the glasses with lens included.
