i would not trust my next eye exam with the optometrist in this location. Just be careful. Especially watch out for Dr. Tomes.

I was scheduled here to see Dr. Brent for Cataracts. After several appts. And consultations as well as having them removed I must say everything from start to finish was done very professionally. Especially since it takes co-ordination between the two offices to set up appointments as well as the operating procedures. I am truly grateful to Dr. Brent and the staff at both facilities for their professionalism and dedication to their patients.

At Premier, I had Dr J.E.B. and found him to be patient and sincere when addressing my eye care. One thing I found interesting is the steps of the process (checking in, determining current vision measures, seeing the optometrist, etc) are all done separately. In this way, things move along, but I can see when one area could be backed up. However, I have not yet experienced this to occur. I have found the staff to be professionals and positive. Additionally, at the Hartzdale Dr location, there is ample parking with easy access to the front door.

I made a mistake and scheduled an eye exam appointment here and went to a different location. So I…read morewas late for my appointment but they accommodated me without any issue. After initial check-in, I went to the back for the pre-tests by the technician. Again, no wait. I went through 5 different hi-tech apparatuses, streamline. Basically I just keep rolling my chairs to the right and put my chin on each. I was again back in the waiting area in the back. Soon I was summoned into the exam room for Teladoc. The remote technician evaluated my vision correction. She was friendly and patient. Then I waited for the doctor. This was my only sizable wait but even that was only about 10 minutes. Dr. Barry went over my tests. Redid some of the vision corrections, and correctly pointed out I had a floater in the right eye! Finally, I went back to the front where a staff printed out my paperwork and took my old eyeglasses to be updated. I was told I get to have tint for free. Sweet! I was told to expect a text within 2 weeks when it's ready to be picked up. I was out of there in less than an hour. Smooth transaction and pleasant visit!

Do NOT come here if you want your pupillary distance!!…read more Sadly this place has gone downhill and my visit today will be my last. I will look for somewhere nicer for my next exam. The company is clearly trying to squeeze every last drop of money out of its "patients". I have been a patient here since I was a child but I will not be coming back. I hope the lack of ethics is exposed and more people stop opening up their wallets to this place. Here are the ethical issues I see with this company: 1. As others have commented, the company refuses to give patients their pupillary distance (PD) which is part of their medical record and is required for ordering glasses online. This was never a problem before. I have been ordering my glasses online for years and Visionworks has always given me my PD. Joke is on them though. I have my PD already so I will have no issues ordering from Zenni, a company that doesn't overcharge for glasses like Visionworks. While it is not legally required for optometrists to give you your PD in the state of PA, the FTC does encourage optometrists to do so as it is not ethical to withhold information required for patients to shop around and find the best price AFTER paying for an exam. The "professional" at the front desk was rude and even said "I'm actually not sorry" after refusing me access to my own medical record as I was walking out the door. What did I expect though? Trash companies beget trash customer service. 2. I am 32 years old with virtually no health issues and they are trying to pressure me into getting a $35 retinal scan not covered by insurance. Doctors should not be pressing upsells on their patients. 3. Most of the staff seemed sick and the place felt grungy. That's not how we protect our patients' health. Today was an eye opening experience for me, no pun intended. I would not recommend this place. Personally I will be searching for a doctor with higher ratings on Yelp and that is not a money-hungry fast food chain equivalent of an eye doctor.

I have been wearing glasses all my life. This is the first year I've had a problem. I had to go in for an adjustment because the frames rubbed the skin on top of my ear raw. The practice manager "helped" me by adjusting. She supposedly adjusted them. I asked about having the problem and it being the first time experiencing such an issue and she said that sometimes in shipping, glasses frames get bent in shipping and need adjusted. I waited until the soreness lessened, but the problem continued. Went back in and the manager commented about me being back again. She made a second adjustment. Same problem continued. I went in for a third adjustment and finally got to see someone who knew what he was doing. I ended up having to purchase new frames. Then I was told it would be 7 to 10 days for the new glasses to come in. Today I called to check on them (9 days later) and was now told by the practice manager that its 7 to 10 business days, which means up to 14 total days. This is absurd. This woman, who claims to be a professional, is a rude, unprofessional liar. MyEyeDr does take a ridiculous amount of time to get your glasses to you, but never has it taken two weeks. It has now been over two months since I had my eyes examined and I am still using the old glasses with the wrong prescription. Truly top notch customer service. They need to show their practice manager the door!

He left the practice the month prior and went to another practice. MrEyeDr staff did not communicate to let me know of this change. They sent text messages to confirm my appointment the week before only to find out upon arrival for my appointment that they cancelled my appointment. Did not even communicate that I no longer had an appointment. They stated they sent an email letting me know, but there was no email sent - and confirmation text messages were continued to be sent. Thankfully I found out where my current eye doctor is now practicing, and will be going to his new center vs. this franchise eye center.
