I went to this Lenscrafters location in hot pursuit of some meta glasses. I called and confirmed they were in stock and headed right over. The location was a bit busy for a Sunday, but I was greeted quickly and didn't mind my short wait. Hailey, the associate who helped me, was awesome! Not only did she get my glasses quickly, once she found out I wasn't using insurance, she inquired if I had AAA. Having this membership qualified me for a very nice discount that I was not anticipating. Because of this unexpected discount, I also purchased some designer sunglasses. I truly appreciate her efforts to save me some money, she went above and beyond and did not have to do that. I will send more customers her way!!! read more

I just telephone LensCrafters to determine whether or not they could take frames and put in new prescription lenses. I was amazed that I could not get anybody in their store on the phone and that I was told that I would be called back within two business days I don't understand how you guys make it as a business if that's your CustomerService model the fact that no one is available to take a call which I find astounded and I won't possibly get a call back for two business days. I've already called two other places so you guys really need to rethink your CustomerService model for incoming calls of people like me who may want to give you business. read more

One of the women staff there embarrassed me in front of a room full of people! It used to be one of my fav places to go, but no more. I do decline her name but shes been there a while, and i used to write really nice reviews in the past. It's been 10 years since I've had an eye exam or purchased new glasses. Definitely time to schedule an appointment. LensCrafters is my go to. I've never tried any other company because I believe this company is solid. I went to the Kenwood location twice. This time when me and Mr scheduled, we did it at this location (Rookwood). Forgot about this location so I'm glad my Mr brought it up. Rookwood has a doctor on-site on the weekends. Even better. We use the online service and scheduled for Saturday. We were able to put our insurance info (if you have it). Otherwise the eye exam is $110.00. Since I was driving, I opted for Digital Retinal Imaging (extra $39.00). If i did the other option, (2 drops on your eyes) it can dilate up to 2-6 hours. My eyes are sensitive to light, so the digital imaging was best for me. We got there and it was such an easy transaction. Got there early. Filled out more paper work and within minutes they took us in right away with no wait. Our doctor was Michael T. Powers and he was excellent. Answered all my questions and friendly. Seems like I needed a stronger prescription so I was glad we made an appointment. I browsed around the store and found two pairs of glasses. They had buy one get other pair for 50 percent off. I got both black frames -Versace and Vogue Eyewear. My doctor recommended my lens- anti-reflective and blue light for me because I'm on the computer all day and cheap lighting at work. Annalicia was the associate that helped me and she was very helpful and knows her job well. She was detailed and made sure the measurements was correct. She even fixed my glasses (an old pair) and cleaned them. We were told that our glasses would be ready the same day. We got home and within an hour we get text that they are ready! Wow that was super fast! We dropped by and it was my Versace glasses with my Mr's (he only ordered one pair) that were ready. They sat with us for a fitting. Made sure they were comfortable on us and correct lens. My other glasses will be ready in a week. They will text me. I have to say that this is the best customer experience I've had. I remembered it was great 10 years ago, but it's even better now. Lens crafters definitely caters to your every need. They told us if any adjustments need to be made, don't hesitate to come in. I'll fully admit that I haven't been keeping up with my regular eye exams, so it's been quite a few years since my last one, and I was a little nervous about having one again. But our eyes do age too so I knew I had to just do it. Still, LensCrafters always makes it easy from setting your appointment, checking in, getting it done, and picking new frames and/or contact lenses. I'd gone to this location before so it was my first choice to go again. I scheduled appointments for both my lady and I online which was super easy. You can enter any insurance info online as well. We both received confirmation emails immediately. When our appointment date came up, we got in early so we could fill out any additional paperwork. It didn't take long after we were done with that and we were both called in to be seen. Masks are mandatory when seeing an optometrist and I understand that completely. The process was painless... With the minor exception of the burning during my pupil dilation, but I was warned of that when the drops were being put into my eyes (if you don't want that, there's a digital retinal scan available which doesn't require pupil dilation for an extra $39. Easier if you're driving there alone). My optometrist said I needed a slightly stronger prescription lens though my eyes were still pretty healthy. After my exam, I went out to pick a new pair of frames. They have frames from a plethora of different manufacturers and a wide variety of styles. I eventually found a cool pair of Arnette frame that even my lady thought looked great on me. My insurance covered all except $118 (saved over $300) and my frames were ready to go about an hour later. My lady got two really nice frames on a buy one get one 50% off sale. One of her's was ready just as quickly as mine, though they other wasn't ready just yet, we were astounded that they were ready that fast. I know there are plenty of other places to go, but since my first ever visit here went so well, it was easy to choose this location again for another, long-awaited eye exam. I may decide to stop by again to try out some contacts since I haven't worn those in years and it's nice to have an alternative from glasses. Plus the super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff make it a perfect choice. read more

Whoever runs the practice for the eye exams, they are the worst. I am not satisfied at all with my experience. I called to schedule an eye appointment because I felt something not right with my eyes. I hadn't told that they are out of network and I will get charged out of pocket as "100". The prescription never got sent either. I had to call the business and asked them to send it. They also didn't submit the bill to my insurance company at all even if they are out of network. And to top it off, I had a follow appointment today, and they asked me to pay again for my follow up!! I had never ever had such a terrible experience before. I will never come back neither recommend it to anyone. The staff are so rude too and careless. read more

Dr. Valido is great, she's very friendly and delivers a comprehensive eye exam, she really seems to care about her patients. Unfortunately, the front desk / support staff leaves a lot to be desired. First impression, they mislabeled my contact lenses that I was trying out, and had I not caught it, I would have had the wrong lens in the wrong eye. Second strike, I called them to have them go ahead and write my prescription, they put me on hold for over six minutes until I eventually hung up. Third strike, I decide to call them back the next day, had to leave a voicemail as no one picked up, six hours later they had still not called me back. It's really too bad, because I did really like Dr. Valido but she deserves a better staff. read more

Doctor Powers gave me quite the lovely surprise by reaching across the equipment to touch the inside of my eyeball and adjust my contact lense.... he did not wash his hands prior or tell me what he was about to do. I was shocked and have never felt more disgusted. read more

We had issues finding frames in my size because of how picky I am. Although I didn't buy anything today she was extremely helpful throughout the process. Came here for the first time for an eye exam and to get classes. The associates are VERY friendly. I actually enjoyed the desk staff more than the doctor. They were very helpful in explaining all my test results and letting me look for frames. Also, they can make your glasses in one hour which is a super plus! The only thing I was slightly disappointed in- when making my glasses the lady when with what she thought was best, not with what my insurance covered. I had to specifically question the price to get the lens switched to something my insurance covered. I think they should be upfront with that and give each person the different options. read more

Looking for that Prada, Burberry or Tiffany frame, LensCrafters in Rookwood is the place to go. This location doesn't have a lot of dead space. At some other locations, you may have to chase down an associate to assist you or just give up and walk out when no one notices you standing with a tray of frames in your hand. The General Manager helped me select the best frame once I had narrowed my choices to two. She was front and center on both of my visits and facilitated everyone coming in the door being served in a timely manner. This location also has an extensive sunglass frame selection, as well as the more trendy, upscale brands in eyeglass frames. While your glasses are being made in an hour, you can do some fabulous shopping at Nordstrom Rack or grab a bite at the nearby restaurants, too. All in all, the great service and convenient location made my visit a winner. read more

I bought my first pair of glasses at the LensCrafters in Kenwood and, enticed by an email offer on sunglasses, I came to this location to shop for those. Just like at the Kenwood locations, the sales associates here were very helpful without being pushy or overbearing. They will take a photo of you trying on different frames and then showing them side by side so you can compare, or, in my case, emailing them to a friend for a second opinion. The friendly sales person encouraged me to try on some frames I wouldn't have picked up otherwise and I ended up buying them. And I still love them. I don't remember how long it was before they were ready but I do know it was not long at all. When I went to get them, I was quickly fitted and sent out the door. LensCrafters will send email follow ups asking if you are satisfied and then send more emails with sales and offers. They have a pretty good selection of frames. I recently stopped back in to get my first frames adjusted and they cleaned both pairs for me as well. read more

Thankfully I walked out and found this LensCrafters in Rookwood Pavilion. Eric Muchmore, Assistant Manager, was WONDERFUL!! He spent so much time helping me find a pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses that would work with my face shape. Never in a million years would I have picked out these frames. This place is really hit or miss. I came two or three years ago and didn't really like the experience. I came last year and had a wonderful experience with Dr. Powers I believe. Very quick, listened to what I wanted didn't push unnecessary costs. I came back today and was there for 2 hours. Granted, I arrived 15 minutes early to check in. The doctor kept disappearing. The employees were all very friendly and apologetic for how long I'd been there, but it was just ridiculous. All I wanted was an updated prescription for my glasses and contacts and it took a huge chunk of my day. Also, they don't show you your bill before charging you which annoyed me as someone on a budget. I will be looking elsewhere next year. read more

Usually shopping for contacts or glasses can be a tedious task! That being said I was very happy with my experience at the Rookwood Lenscrafters! I needed new contacts and had a prescription from out of state. The front desk gals at the contact station were very helpful and quick with my needs, even though the place was very busy and people were waiting. I was in and out in about 30 minutes with contacts and my complimentary solution. I will definitely be using this location for all my optical needs as they were friendly and took my Humana vision plan! read more

This is an update to my previous review. I was contacted by the manager and informed me my glasses were finally ready. Upon arriving at the store and having my glasses fitted I was informed that I would not be charged for my glasses and that I would get a full refund. In conclusion I love my glasses they fit perfectly. I can see perfectly clear. I'm very happy. I guess they do stand behind their guarantee. read more

Three times for adjustments in a month and a half after I received them (no notations in my file) and they won't replace. I do not recommend at all. This doesn't include waiting almost two hours at the Fields Ertel location to be waited on after my initial exam. Finally walked out and went to Rookwood location. Never again. read more

I needed to have new lenses put in my reading glasses a few weeks ago so I started by going to LensCrafters in Rookwood Commons. I don't have eye coverage on my insurance so I knew it wouldn't be cheap. But it was WAY over my budget. The technician I spoke with was nice but he tried to convince me that I needed a bunch of added bells and whistles which quickly drove up the price. Pretty soon the price tag was approaching $300 just to replace some simple lenses for reading glasses (they weren't bifocals or transition lenses or anything too complicated). So I continued to look at other stores. I ended up buying them at Wing Eyecare. The person who helped me there told me what he recommended. I asked him about some of the added features that LensCrafters tried to convince me to buy. He told me they really weren't necessary and some can be added on later if I changed my mind. I ended up spending a little over $100 and was pleased with my experience. I know LensCrafters can have your glasses ready in an hour, so maybe that's what you end up paying for. Since I had plenty of time, it didn't seem practical to pay the extra money. My glasses from Wing Eyecare were ready 2 days later. read more

Understaffed and slow. I had a unique situation where I had broken my glasses and my prescription ran out. So I was forced to buy frames one day, get an exam the next and on the third day have my lenses made. They were so understaffed the first day it took an almost an hour for them to see me. I have worn the same style of glasses for years so it was easy to find them, I only had to be rung up. The day I went to buy my lenses it took another hour to get service which required me to pick my lenses up the next day. Show up the next day, wait 30 minutes, only to find they can't find my lenses. Wait 20 minutes. Finally they are found and now have been waiting for an additional 20 minutes to fit them in my frames. Will not return to this location. The staff is friendly but completely understaffed. read more

This is the worst experience I have every had in my entire life with any company ever. I went in for an eye exam in January. They convinced me to switch to daily contact lenses instead of the biweekly contacts I'd had forever. They were out of my prescription so they told me I'd have to schedule another appointment to get them. Second appointment comes around and they told me I had to come back yet again (for reasons unknown). Long story short, it took three appointments to get one order of contacts, and then come to find out, they only sold me a 90 day supply. NOBODY told me that I was paying almost $200 for only 3 months worth of contacts, so over a year, I'd have to pay $800. For contacts. I just called to ask if I could switch back to my biweekly prescription and was told that I have to come in for yet ANOTHER appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. I think that someone during ANY part of these first 3 appointments should have told me that I was buying only a 90 day supply, rather than making unprofessional jokes about how they forgot to order my Rx. I will be telling everyone who even thinks the words contacts, glasses or Lenscrafters about this horrible experience. read more
