Over the years, I have purchased 4 pairs of glasses from Lenscrafters. Each time I purchased Transitions lenses with no-line bifocals which were very expensive. The last pair were made incorrectly. I had to bend my head back too far to use the lower part of the lenses. I went in 3 times within the 30-day period trying to get them adjusted to work properly. The salesman tried to help, but the last time he had me meet with the manager. The manager couldn't "fix them" either so I asked the manager to remake them. He was gruff and told me I would have to use the insurance replacement to have them remade. Unfortunately, I let him intimidate me and i just lived with the messed-up glasses. I didn't realize I could have complained to the company and have them remade or I would have done so. Last year, when I went in to buy another pair of glasses, I mentioned my problem to the salesman. He went to the back and circled where I was looking through and immediately saw the problem. He stated they should have been remade, and he would talk to the current manager about this situation. Unfortunately, the new manager didn't want to take responsibility for the prior manager's incompetence. I understood this so I asked who I could contact at the company. He gave me the name Mel as the Administration Supervisor and her "contact number". Unfortunately, this was a bogus name at the 800 number. That manager is no longer there. I ended up sending a letter to Lenscrafters and that's when I found out they had a lawsuit against them for this very problem, and they reached a settlement (Ariza et al v. Luxottica Retail Case 17-cv-5216). This is a warning to others that you need to demand that your glasses are made correctly and don't let anyone intimidate you into accepting an inferior product. The last manager I met there was very helpful in giving me information. I hope he stays there! They have lost my business forever, but I felt others should be warned. Peace. read more

I am so disappointed as I have used LensCrafters for years when I lived in San Diego! I actually had an appointment to see doctor and was called about an hour before to cancel since they did not take VSP. It was explained that LensCrafters does not take VSP though some locations do and just call around or go to Visionworks. When discussing the price without insurance the girl was strongly advising me to go elsewhere (though the cost was not that much different than what I was used to paying in San Diego.) She was actually pushing me not to see Dr Hatala and go elsewhere. I ended up going to Visionworks which was terrific. Got my contacts, new lenses for two glasses and a splurged for another pair of sunglasses for the beach. When I move back to San Diego I will most likely go back to my LensCrafters-but for the meantime-you lost a customer who spends lots of $$$$$ on work and fun glasses. read more

If the frames don't fit they will bend them to fit. Migraine worthy experience. Frames are so uncomfortable, I cannot wear them. Sales pressure to take them and see if they feel comfortable. Good grief! read more

I've been to this Lenscrafters's several times over the past 5 years. They are always kind, courteous, and helpful when find the perfect frames to complement my face. They provide excellent customer service, even if it's just to drop in for a good lens cleaning or frame adjustment. If something isn't just exactly right in any aspect, they will make sure the correction has been made to the point of complete satisfaction. They go out of their way to figure out the best options for using my insurance plan and any discount that benefits my bottom line. Had great experience here. I broke me glasses late Friday night and was able to get an appointment on Sunday afternoon and I had my new glasses on Monday. Remington was wonderful when it came time to help me choose the right pair of glasses. This location definitely has top notch personal. I would recommend this location in countryside mall to anyone. read more

i had an issue with my prescription eyeglasses, the lens was not right (too much this or not enough of that). i went back to lenscrafters on sunset point in clearwater, FL the day after i originally received them, and low and below, Michael who is the manager returned them for me, with no problems. i might not care for all of lencrafter's associates, but Michael is the bomb. because of Michael's excellent customer service, i bought a different frame and a different type of lense. read more

I cannot express how much I appreciate the urgent visit Dr. Joseph J. Hatala and his staff last December. I didn't know they were about to close and when I explained what happened with my eye suddenty, they said if I can get there in 20 minutes, they will see me. My appointment was after hours and he gave me a prescription that cleared up the problem. Everyone who stayed late for me was very attentive and caring. Horrible customer service by every individual involved. I scratched one of my sunglasses lenses and it was less than half the price to replace just the lens rather than purchase new ray bans. Since luxottica owns ray ban, LensCrafters and every other eye glass business, I could take the new lens into LensCrafters and they would swap the lens. The first associate dee asked nicely what I needed , as soon as I said just a lens replacement she turned her back to me and asked the other employee galine why I didn't just purchase new glasses. They were having a conversation about me in front of me. Galine without speaking to me told Dee to tell me to open the package and give them the lens . I gave Dee the lens went to the back and Johnny took over. He replaced the lens but he too, asked how much the lens were implying I should have just purchased new glasses. This is their job and they don't want to do it. The lens were 50 dollars and to purchase new glasses would be roughly 150. I will never come back here and would suggest all potential customers to please go elsewhere. read more

Really poor customer service! Most of the staff is either apathetic or defensive regarding their lack of communication amongst each other, with the customer, and regarding their products. Manager was especially rude and not helpful. Will not be returning! Actually, turned me off of the Lenscrafters chain in general. Time to Shop Local! read more

truly a horrible experience to get my glasses adjusted. my glasses were crooked making me look dopey so i gave my glasses back to the guy at lenscrafters and inoticed the guys behind the glass were talking and not working on my glasses. the guy at lenscrafters said the glasses were done and he handed me the glasses. i tried on the glasses and they were still crooked. i handed in the glasses 4 times and he kept giving me the glasses back not straight. i told the lensecrafters the guys behind the glass keep talking and not working on my glasses. now i told the lensecrafters person my glasses are dirty and can you put the glasses in the cleaning machine and please strighten my glasses. the glasses now looked a little straighter but apparently he wants to do more damage than to help and the next day they looked just as crooked and the lense popped out from the glasses. iwas in this store 8-25-2021. i came in this store with my spare glasses and i dont have my spare pair of glasses. they dont want to help. read more

If you are looking for corrective lenses, think twice before selecting this Lens Crafters. The lack of customer service is not to be believed!!! Their approach is to not fully understand what has taken place prior to them getting on the call or to understand what the customer has been told previously but rather to basically blame the customer for the issue as a posed to work to correct and provide confidence that the product is of appropriate quality. One would think that speaking to the Lab Manager, that there might be a little more training and level of professionalism that they would bring to the situation to help in resolving the matter, instead continued to further blame the customer and to imply the customer is the issue. His inability to comprehend the concern and the lack of training of his part time staff to communicate accurately to customers is appalling, when, if it weren't for the customer and many other customers neither one would have the job they currently hold. As a manger when dealing with a situation, the customer should NEVER feel they are an interruption to their work but should feel as if they are the purpose of it. This 20+ years customer wont be back. read more

My 12 year old daughter is in tears because your store would not right a wrong. We ordered quality sunglasses for $430 and received 1950s technology (very thick lenses!!). We ordered same prescription with online store Zenni and received a beautiful pair for $10.95. How can this be? The frames we purchased through you were $160. The rest of the money was entirely lenses --so $270 for antiquated lenses! We went back twice to the store only to have them say "Pay $150 more and we will get thinner lenses!" This is crazy! My daughter walking around with a pair of $680 glasses!! How come Zenni doesn't need such a premium? We have come to your store for over 10 years and I cannot believe this! We want customer service and thin lenses (that we can get on the Internet for $10.95 and $4.95 shipping), nothing more. Her prescription is not that strong but you like to tell your customers it is for this lens increase after the fact putting it on her little head. The initial LensCrafters rep when we came back to the store the firsttime said his sister is -8.00 and has the thinner lenses (added cost) as well as someone else he knows is -11.00 and it helps dramatically on the lenses but I showed him the Zenni pair and said they are made different. So why can't LensCrafters use the cheaper material No response. Anyways, my daughter is -4.00, much less than his two examples so go figure. Agggh! Go to Costco instead...they have Ray Bans that look same for fraction of cost. Zenni also has the frames but just not branded so its even cheaper. It is just a shame to charge so much for 1950's technology when it is available elsewhere for pennies on the dollar. read more
