I made an appointment online for an eye exam. Went in 5 minutes before my appointment to check in and was helped right away. Filled out the necessary paperwork and insurance info, then was told it would take about 10 minutes to process insurance details. In the meantime, someone went in for an eye exam who had been waiting there before I came in. The lady who I handed my paperwork to was now having a conversation with another employee with my paperwork in her hand. Conversation went on for another 10 minutes while I waited. I then asked how much longer and was told 45 minutes until I would get in to see the doc (this is now 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time). Why make an appointment if I'm treated as a walk in? Thorough waste of my time. Very disappointing as I've had great experience with LensCrafters in Hawaii. Do not recommend, go somewhere else if you value your time. read more

I'm giving Lenscrafters only 3 stars not because of the service we got by our Optical Technician Jake who was also our salesman. He did a good job though I do feel somethings were not explained very well. It seemed there was a communication problem between Jake and our optometrist Dr. Cheng. She told both myself and my wife that our distance vision was good but then gave us both lens prescriptions for the entire lens rather than a bi-focal lens. When we came back to lenscrafters to try our new glasses neither of us could see distance very well at all and the prescription had to be rewritten by another optometrist. Once again I must say that Jake has been very accommodating about getting our glasses right and making sure we are happy with our purchase. I would recommend Lenscrafters but not Dr. Cheng read more

This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in any retail setting. Not only did they goof up my glasses twice, they failed to call and tell me they were ready. On one call I was put on hold and forgotten. When I went to pick up my glasses for the 2nd time, one pair still wasn't right. Even though the lab tech tried to fix it, he wasn't able to. The sales associate said I should take them home for a trial, not realizing that if the glasses weren't correct in the store, they would never be correct at home. She then proceeded to tell me that if they sent my glasses back a third time, I'd have to take them regardless. At this point, I gave them back both pairs of glasses and demanded a refund. My family and I will never spend another penny at any Lenscrafters and we suggest you don't either. read more

Terrible customer service. My glasses were made wrong. And managers did not really care that I hurt myself because of their error. I could not see correctly due to their equipment taking my measurements wrong. Management has no customer service skills at all. I am really happy with this lenscrafters and am shocked by the reviews. I've been coming here for close to 2 years and both Liza and Jessica have always greeted me immediately and if there was a longer wait, they communicated that. I am always impressed by the selection of frames and their turn around time is very quick. I feel the doctors change a lot and that's probably my only complaint because I like to deal with one person but it's a new doctor each time. I'll continue to come here as it's just a few minutes away and everyone is helpful. read more

There's a small staff and not a big selection for the type of frames I like (plastic, square, black) I'm very picky... But the opticians are very informative and my glasses usually get done before the hour is up. The staff is very amicable and try to help you even if only half the information needed is provided. They don't force you to buy and you can take your time going through frames and they won't push. They'll talk you through the process and help you choose. They don't hang over your shoulder. Basically they're mostly there when you need questions answered. They are also very patient. I have no bridge and a very short face so I have to have a lot of adjustments done so the frame even fits on my face. They are very patient and make the adjustments without complaints and even joke around with me while they're doing it. I've been going to LensCrafters for years and I'm very happy with them. The only thing is that I wish there were more people to help out. read more

Horrible experience going for my first ever corrective lenses. Started out ok, then I was handed off to a trainee, who was not amused, and then I was basically snubbed. I sat there for a bit then asked if she was going to help me. She pointed to a lady across the store and said "she's gonna call" such and such as she stapled papers acting busy. I went here to buy a pair of contacts for my eyes because the ones I had ripped. They were very busy and Rebecca was kind enough to respect my question about contacts but told me to wait a few as she was busy helping other clients. I waited about 5 minutes, when she came and said she could help me. She said she didn't have any trials in stock but was able to order any contacts I needed and took my prescription that was sent to me via email. She happily helped me and took my information down. She asked for insurance and said that they take it and she gave me a great deal on my contacts. I was very pleased with her customer service. I highly recommend asking for her if you go. Worst customer service with no knowledge of insurance. I took my daughter for an eye exam and that was fine. When we started going through the quote for her frames I was given the wrong information. I even brought up my insurance benefits on my phone and showed her she was overcharging me. She told me the fee was for cutting the lense. I cancelled the frame purchase. I called my insurance to find out why they would charge to cut the lens. The insurance rep had no idea why. I was on hold with insurance rep for about half an hour while she tried to get ahold of them and she was told to wait for the manager and eventually they hung up on her. She said she tried several times with no luck. The one star is for the service provided not the doctor. My daughter liked the doctor but the customer service is ridiculous. read more

Had an appointment today at 1220, was not even brought back to a room till one, the exam was fine but then I went to order my lenses and the gentleman with white hair had no clue what he was doing, zero. Manager finally had to come and help, the prescription he entered was wrong and the checkout took forever, damn near three hours for contacts. What's worse, they failed to give me the prescription. After waiting 15 minutes to get some help, I was surprised to find that the choices were significantly less than the last time I visited. Cheap frames were plentiful, quality frames were limited or too small for me. When I asked about my lenses, they said it would be 10 days before they would be ready. Do not use this location. There is no store manager and the main doctor doesn't know what she is doing. She gave me three bad eye contact prescriptions stating that they were the right ones. Turned out that not only was the prescription wrong but the type of contact lens was also wrong.. Three times. She was rude and not helpful even though I was professional to her. The last prescription she gave me was so wrong that I saw worse with them in and my vision got all milky. The store did not correct the mistake resulting in additional cost to me. Very long waits even if you have an appointment. Expect an hour wait and no customer service. read more

I walked in with a horribly broken pair of glasses, and was helped immediately and cheerfully. They couldn't fix the frames, but they were happy to direct me to a spot right there in the mall where I could get them welded. I could have easily been sent on my very blind way--I'd already tried a couple other places to no avail--but they did what they could, and the place I was sent to had it done in an hour. Worse experience I've ever had. Went to them the get a pair of reading,. Computer glasses. Exam went OK,, but they insisted that I also need driving distance glasses to which I accepted there advise. But they did not have the correct lenses for the reading glasses. So OK I paid for everything Expensive... And accepted the one pair of distance glasses they convinced me I need. On my way home I could tell that the right lens was aether defective or the prescription was wrong. So I placed a call to them and went in the next morning. The staff was nice and i was in to see the doctor quickly. That's when every thing went south. It was clear she the doctor was not happy to have me back. She quickly rushed me through a partial re exam and declared the script was correct and there nothing she could do for me. What a minute I just paid them over $500.00 US dollars and to bad we can't fix this issue WHAT!!! Why did I came here? Well yes I needed reading glasses. I demanded a total refund and canceled the glasses that I really needed. You will never get a good recommendation from me......... I went two days in a row, and two different associates actually walked with me through trying on various glasses, and gave me their honest opinions. I couldn't even tell you how many pairs I tried, but in the end the person who was helping me found me the perfect pair. It was a fun visit, and I'll continue to go here for glasses. Went in for an eye exam, contact lens fitting, and retinal scans. The doctor was very informative and attentive. I bought a pair of glasses that my insurance covered so I only paid a small co pay. I was told that my glasses would be ready in a week. When I came back, the staff informed me that my glasses weren't ready and that I shouldn't come back until I was notified via text alert--something I feel I should've been informed of during my first visit. When I returned to pick up the glasses I also wanted to purchase a year long supply of contact lenses. The manager could not find any of my information on file and we found out absolutely no one had recorded my visit. I was not charged for my appointment, the scans, or my fitting, even though during the first visit I was told I only needed to pay for the glasses. When I showed the manager the receipt, she insisted that even though they made a mistake by not recording my visit or charging me the first time, there was nothing she could do. I was here a little over a year ago. It was my first time going to a LensCrafters. I usually opt for a private practice because the service is usually better but I had only been living in Fairfield for 6 months and I needed new glasses bad. I brought in my prescription and figured I can get a decently priced pair of glasses from here, which I did. The issue was picking them up. I was told, they'd be ready in a few hours. Came back, not ready. Fine. I didn't want to rush my glasses, so I decided to just cruise the mall. I went back again, they were ready. But for some reason they ran out of the cases for the glasses (Ray-ban) and offered me the Ray-ban sunglasses case? Okaaaayyy? What's the glasses to case ratio? And why isn't it even? Anyways I tried them on and noticed a mark on the lens that I couldn't wipe off. I wasn't going to pay for that so I politely asked if they could try to remove it. They tried but it wasn't coming off. They thought it was a mark from the thing that holds the lens? Obviously a permanent mark on one of my lenses would be very annoying, so they said to just come back the next day so they can replace the lens. I came back...AGAIN and get my glasses...SAME MARK! Are you kidding me? At least check to see if the glasses are good before you call a customer to tell them to pick it up. I had to go back FOUR times for ONE pair of glasses. I mean I finally got the correct case but sheesh. I was polite and respectful about the situation and honestly I think they apologized once (for the first mark). When I finally got my glasses they just sent me on my way. No apology for the inconvenience. I work retail myself, so I really try not to make a big fuss over things but this experience was a huge inconvenience and very disappointing. Maybe I should've made a fuss? This particular LensCrafters is HORRIBLE. I've been going to various LensCrafters for years and have always had a decent experience, until I went to this one. The optometrist, Dr. Tina Pham was rude, pushy and unprofessional. She tried to guilt trip me into purchasing unnecessary eye tests and when I refused she seemed to punish me by being extremely rude for the remainder of my appointment. She even answered a personal call on her cell phone during the appointment. Now, for the second time in a row, I have been unable to order contact lens online because the Fairfield store is claiming that they do not have my prescription on file. Luckily, I have a copy of my prescription and will be able to order the contact lenses once I fax in the paperwork. However, this is time consuming and annoying. I paid $140.00 for the exam and should not have to do this additional work. This will be last experience with LensCrafters! read more
