I would not recommend LensCrafter to anyone. Well they have amazing Frames collection but my lenses started wearing off after one year of use. I reached out to the store and they mentioned that as my warranty expired so they can't help it. My question is: why to give a below quality lenses to your customer at such an exorbitant price. I have had lenses from other places and they always outlasted my frame and this is the first time ever that my frame is still intact but lense coating has started coming off. Its really annoying and frustrating to have such an experience from such an amazing company. Because of a change in my insurance I tried Southlake Eyes not realizing they are connected with LensCrafters next door. My prescription changed a lot so I ordered 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses. $1800.00 After three tries, two are now right and one is still not. The girl at the front desk gave me such a bad attitude about the one pair still having problems I just left. One pair of $600.00 glasses I can't wear without complete fuzziness. She acted as if it was my fault. This experience has been so frustrating and time consuming! I like Lenscrafters. They give great service and are very knowledgeable about glasses. Because I wear glasses all the time I usually buy the really good lenses with the anti-glare, coating, transition and more$$$. I always have issues with keeping my glasses clean and Helen explained to me that part of the issue is that dirt gets in the lens edges and it's hard to clean. When you clean them you wipe the lens, you the best thing to do is and it smears what is in these edges. The best way to clean them is to bring them and have them remove the lenses to clean properly. Be sure to ask for Helen when you visit this location. read more

I love this store. I buy all my frames and glasses here. My mom clued me into this location. And they can really get my the perfect fit. They also have a decent selection of glasses. Not as much for sunglasses which is why I'm giving a less than 5 rating because of the assortment. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. My wife and I took our prescriptions in. The lady at Lense Crafters claimed she could not read the numbers so she called the ophthalmologist office and took down the information. When we picked up the glasses the prescription were wrong. The original prescriptions were correct. We got the glasses back again corrected. Our HSA account was also billed twice. My wife called and was told the company only billed once. Not true.. Our experience with Craft Lens in Southlake was horrible, and we only wish that we could give it a no-star! 1. We ordered a pair of glasses in the late November and paid in advance. They guaranteed to have them ready by December 5, and it was not ready when I went to pick them up on December 9. In fact, their system already canceled this order because the frames were out of stock in their lab, but nobody informed me of this until my visit; no emails, no text messages, no phone calls. No apologies at all for the confusion and for the consequent delay of delivery, and they showed a totally different face from two weeks ago. 2. After my cancellation, the store failed to notify my insurance company. When I asked them to make a five-minute call to verify the cancellation with the insurance, the lady named Julie (or Joanna?) rudely dismissed my request, claiming that this is not the common practice---while both the insurance customer representatives and other optic stores assure that this is indeed what they should have done in the first place. We've been doing business with Lens Crafters at other locations for years, but this store is the worst business that we have ever met. read more

My first visit was a wait of 45 minutes. I was sent next door after waiting to get an eye exam. When I finished I returned to Lens Crafters only to wait 30 min to I was told my glasses would be $371. The lady helping me was speaking to me as if I was a child. I asked about progressive and frames. When I asked if I could come back the lady there told me it was not a problem. I was shocked at how I was treated. However I need glasses. I returned to this location only to find out my glasses we never on hold for me. Even though I was promised they would be for the time I needed. When the manager spoke to me about my first visit she had her back toward me and was sticking glasses. I felt I wasn't important enough to help. All the manager did was say sorry and keep working. If I was the manager I would look the customer in the eye and listen to their concerns. I wasted another 20 min in the store trying to find a comparable pair from the ones I had picked the first time. I was promised a call back in a few days. It's been 3 weeks and nothing. I am very disappointed at the level of customer service I was provided. I am a single Mom and time is precious while on FMLA. I ended taking my business somewhere else. What a pitty too I loved the Ray Bands they never held for me or ordered. The place is clean and nicely stocked. My experience with this location was a nightmare from beginning to end. After selecting, paying, and waiting 2 weeks for a pair of glasses, I received a message that they were ready to pickup. Upon my arrival I saw the glasses that came in were not the ones I ordered. They were not the right color, or size. First, this should have been QC'ed when they arrived at the store. Joanna, then proceeded to ask me to find the correct frames in the display case (shouldn't she be the one looking since the paperwork is correct but the glasses were not). After realizing they were not there, she then talks about how she sold the last pair earlier that day. No, you sold the last pair before that because I had already purchased mine. She then stated that my original sales person would be in touch within a day with a solution. 2 days go by, no phone call. I call the store and their "solution" is for me to pick out another frame. I decline and say I want the entire purchase refunded. However, I have to come into the store to complete the refund (60 mike round trip drive from downtown Dallas). After finding the correct frames at another LensCrafters, they convince me to accept the incorrect pair and get the frames exchanged (so they could take credit for the sale). I would have objected, but I was so tired of dealing with them, I just said fine. Then, to top everything off, as I'm leaving, I hear the manager explaining to the employees that they need to watch for nice cars and be sure to greet those people immediately when they come in. So, would my experience have been different if I was in a newer car? Thats pretty much what I heard from her little "employee pep talk." At LensCrafters a mediocre pair of ray bans with prescription was 586.00 at wharby Parker a beautiful becton glasses with prescription and thin lens 125.00 total . And did I mention great staff , knowledgeable & friendly at wharby Parker . My recommendation don't walk run from lens crafters .....Run to wharby Parker at Southlake Tx . I spent over $1000 on glasses frames and lenses, and recently went in to purchase another pair (spent another $700). I asked the staff to look at the "scratch resistant" lenses the pair of reading glasses from my prior purchase from them. I wear contacts most of the time so these glasses have been rarely used yet they are scratched, even though I purchased the warranty and they are supposed to be scratch resistant. The manager's response was "sorry, nothing I can do for you". I will not be back. Really terrible customer service for a repeat customer. read more

I've had nothing but a positive experience with this store. In September I purchased new regular and prescription sunglasses at this particular store for the first time. The saleswoman actually helped me save money by suggesting a pair of RayBans for my regular glasses that looked similar to the much more expensive designer frames I'd picked out. The RayBan glasses looked better on me and saved me over $200.00. The order arrived quickly, not just then but also later when I used my warranty to reorder glasses that I had dropped in a parking lot and were run over by a car. The store sends a text when an order is ready. Every person who has adjusted my glasses has been professional and friendly. Wait time is next to nothing. The store is clean, bright, and well stocked. I went to Pearle Vision and was not impressed at all. Made a trip over to LensCrafters and had a great experience. I dealt with Barbara and she walked through every step with me. I bought a Rayban frame with lenses and warranty for around $350. My glasses only took 2 hours to complete. Granted, my prescription is not that difficult. If I could give less than one star, I actually would. My daughter and I walked into the store this afternoon around 1:45 pm, We were not greeted by anyone, and an employee was clearly sitting without a customer and looked directly at us and said nothing. We proceeded to browse and try on glasses, and several employees were nearby and no one offered help or gave us any indication they would assist us when they were finished with their current client or task. We walked directly by the employees who completely ignored us. I can understand if every employee was busy, however a simple acknowledgement of our presence would have made us feel welcome and give us hope that we would be assisted at some point. To make it very clear - I don't mind waiting for assistance when employees are with other customers. What I do mind is blatant disregard for my presence. There is absolutely no excuse for this, I will most certainly take my prescription elsewhere. So sad that common courtesy escaped these employees. I will not be returning, and I will definitely share my experience with my friends, many of whom have need of vision services. read more

My review would be 5 stars if I were rating my consultant, Jay, alone. He was perfect! From the first phone call to the store when he answered I knew he knew his stuff. Then when I read other reviews about him I made my decision to go to Lenscrafter only, instead of shopping around and to only see Jay. I've gone through the headaches of buying prescription glasses before and it was always a pain because the consultant did not know what they were doing, or they ripped me off! Jay made sure to save me the most money possible through my insurance and any sales they were having. He also knew what looked best on me and helped me pick the perfect glasses for my face shape. HE was perfect. However others that worked there were at times less than professional, and they're customer service skills were nowhere near as good as Jays! Honestly I don't understand why HE isn't the store manager. I hope Lenscrafters doesn't take him for granted too long or they will lose him to another company that appreciated his efforts and work ethic. So bottom line...if you want to do business with Lenscrafters ask for Jay!! read more
