I still have most of my teeth with a few implants thanks to him and I ask myself where would i be without him and his concern for me in keeping my teeth. Before he does a procedure on me he explains in detail what he is going to do and what he expects from the outcome. When i get in the chair after about 5 minutes after he talks to me about what he is going to do, i am totally relaxed knowing that i am in the hands of a awesome periodontist. If you are looking for a Periodontist to help you with your Dental health, Doctor John Moore is the one you want to see along with Dental assistant Tammy who is excellent in helping Doctor Moore with every patient. I love the Oak lawn location because they have an awesome staff that includes Natalia,kaitlyn, and Amy that does a lot of work making the patient feel comfortable checking in and leaving the office.if you are looking for a 10 star rating Peridontist John Moore is the one for you. So happy to have one right in the neighborhood, we booked out more appointments for the rest of my family. I handed the receptionist, the dentist's wife, my insurance card (which was blue cross blue shield PPO) that had dental info on the back for Local 399. She said Oh! Isn't 399 Delta? Not BCBS. I said I'm not sure, the info is on the back. She said let me look it up. I said okay, I will too. We both found that 399's dental is indeed Delta. I changed the group # and off and my son went into the dentist's chair. Never ONCE did this woman tell me that our insurance WAS NOT ACCEPTED. She did not tell us this before my son walked back into the chair! She said OH! We have a lot of 399 neighborhood people come in!!! And eagerly booked my husband and my appointments for the following week. Off we went. Happy to have a new dentist in the neighborhood! I told my mom how lovely this place was. She said they did a root canal on me YEARS back and didn't tell me my insurance didn't cover it. I thought nothing of this until the following week. I called and said my husband was running late for his teeth cleaning & my son's cavity filling. They would be about 5 min behind. She said that's fine. Just have them bring $500. I said what for? My son just had a teeth cleaning and some X-rays for cavities. She said because your insurance doesn't cover it. When I asked why she didn't tell me that she said "well I thought that you knew". And I said no I did not otherwise we would not have proceeded forward. I said most places accept delta it is good insurance. She said they would not pay what they charge there at their dentist office. The work they do is better than anywhere else. So are they insinuating everyone else who accepts delta does bad work? It seemed insane to me that my mom said this happened YEARS back to her. Then here I am. In the same position. She said I will go ahead & cancel your other apts but bring the check in your insurance will send you and pay the difference. I said can you tell me what that will be? And she said "it's different for everyone" "it depends". I found this hard to believe since this was a typical annual teeth cleaning and routine X-rays. I was not getting anywhere with this woman though so I said ok. I told her that this is not acceptable. She said "I usually tell everyone". I said "everyone but me?" And she abruptly put me on hold never to return back on the phone. I was SHOCKED to get this in the mail. My insurance was not even accepted by this office. She told me to bring in the check from DELTA and pay the difference in their office. Then we receive this in the mail! NO name -- just our address. NO write up or the services charged, or adjustments made with insurance. No letter head. No name. NOTHING. DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS THE TIME OF DAY!!! On their website it says "most insurances accepted". Then they do not even tell you what is covered! We will be filing a separate claim and possibly looking into this further if this cannot be rectified. Taking advantage of people is not acceptable in this neighborhood. TO REPLY TO THE DENTIST HIMSELF BENEATH ME--- I had to answer a phone call regarding an MRI for my 6 month daughter. It was more important than my 7 year old son's dental health! You should know what you are talking about before running your mouth. Your business is already unprofessional and is quite the talk of the neighborhood. Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way. I asked for an invoice and was refused one. Told it would come in the mail. When Suzanne asked my husband to bring $500 payment. I asked what it would cost in entirety- and she said "can't tell you. It depends. It's different for everyone". Your bill should have insurance adjustments and summaries and this was quite quick for the bill to come in less than 2 weeks, adjustments take time. I find it hard to believe your dentistry does not have fixed rates they can offer their customers since "no one compares!!!". No one is looking for free care, Joe. Just HONESTY. I did sign the document that stated I am responsible for WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE which is typical. Do you think I would sign something saying that you do not participate in insurance? Your website says that you do accept most?? A little misleading! And your wife did not offer me my insurance benefits? She looked up on Local 399 website-- to confirm it was Delta. Not ONCE were we told!!!! You crossed a line with your comment about my phone call. It was confirming a baby's brain MRI. Shame on you and your business. Word will get out about this. I suggest you provide rates for the prices and a break down with adjustments. Or better yet, post them here! Your website and reply contradict each other. Your cocky unprofessional remarks compare to your standard of care.

    I have a fear of dentists which resulted in a lifetime of toothaches and the need for procedures…read morethat I cannot afford. This past week I was experiencing tooth pain with an intensity like never before. So extreme, in fact, that I went to the ER in the middle of the night seeking help. Nothing was working. I googled and came across Dr. McCartin. His office is close to my house and the website states that he offers sedation for fearful people like me so I requested an appointment. I am completely astounded by the lengths him and his staff went to accommodate me - a new patient; a complete stranger. This man genuinely wants to help people and his staff is absolutely wonderful. Within a minute of sitting in the chair, my mouth felt relief. He was gentle, empathetic, and so kind. Words truly cannot express how grateful I am that I found Dr. McCartin. I highly recommend him to everyone, especially if you're nervous about seeing a dentist. He is the best of the best!

I m pleased with the administrative support personnel, who are polite and professional. The dental hygienists are thorough and work at a decent pace plus the dental bag you received after treatment is a plus. I found each doctor that provided and conducted the needed specialized care I needed to preserve my teeth; however, there was no pressure in terms of the stages and cost factors. The administrative team quickly provided me with financial backing so that I can do the work in a timely matter, pay as I go along, and finish with a healthier mouth with implants and my own teeth.

This was a few days before Thanksgiving. I wanted to think it over. The dentist advised if it didn't occur during that visit. It will not occur onto the following year. For over 15 minutes the dentist pressured me to remove my upper teeth. He also stated I shouldn't leave money on the table, I could miss Thanksgiving Dinner with my children who traveled to Chicago for the gathering. Dr. Anil K. Agarwal also gave me some of the sermons/cassettes he published. Nevertheless, I attempt to leave. The Office Assistant hurried to inform Dr. Agarwal of my decision to leave. He swiftly confronted me , blocked the pathway and continued to pressure me to remove my upper teeth. I mentioned my blood pressure was elevated. Dr. Agarwal stated he spoke with the surgeon and that I was okay to proceed. Later, I found out my blood pressure was elevated due to chronic kidney disease. Surely, Dr. Agarwal was looking out for his pockets while making disparaging remarks about other dentists. I paid for six bone grafts. To date, I do not have implants. Dr. Agarwal attempted to sell me some upper dentures. I was extremely clear that dentures wouldn't work for me. The Office staff was pleasant. Needless to say, I' do NOT trust Dr. Agarwal and recommend do a deep dive before visiting his office. The google reviews are flawed. You're pressed to provide the control feedback before your procedures. It's really based on the interactions with the receptionist.

Specifically: The billing dates do not match my actual dates of service. I have requested a detailed breakdown and corrected billing. I have not received a clear resolution or written explanation addressing the discrepancy. The outstanding balance continues to appear unresolved. I am requesting: A full, itemized statement explaining all charges. Confirmation that insurance was properly billed and processed. Correction of any improper billing. Written confirmation of the adjusted balance, if applicable. I am seeking resolution only. I am not disputing legitimate charges, but I expect transparent and accurate billing. Thank you.
