I cannot express enough how happy I am with Dr. Denis Bartz and the whole staff at this office. I am in the service industry and am very critical of doctors, dentists, salons, restaurants, etc etc and I can't be happier about my experiences so far with them. I slipped and fell a little over a month ago, landing on my face and needed a lot of work to get my front teeth fixed. I called first thing in the morning after this happened and Dr. Denis was able to take me in right away. After assessing my situation, he began work on my smile immediately. He made me feel so comfortable, I was nice and numb while he was working on me (my first visit took almost 3 hours). I was very upset about what had happened to my teeth and he put me at ease, explaining that he was going about helping me the same way he would if it was his wife in his chair. I've had about 5 visits in the past month and a half, with at least 2 more to go, but I'm looking as good as new. I recommend him to everyone I meet. Even friends who live in the city I tell to come down to the suburbs and see him. He has really made a situation that could be so painful and ugly be somewhat easy and comforting. I went looking for a new dentist and did not know who to go to. I searched on the internet and found Ridgeland Dental and the reason that I contacted them was from all the great reviews that were on line. I was very impressed with the staff members at the front desk, very friendly and efficient.I contacted the office and they got me in right away. I saw Dr. Rohan Bansan who was very compassionate and knowledgeable. He really took his time when he examined me and also spent the time explaining things to me in detail. Thank you. Dr. Rohan. The next day after I saw Dr. Rohan and he made his recommenations for treatment I went into the office to have a cleaning done. I was again impressed with the friendly staff. The hygienist, Samantha was just wonderful. She gave me an excellent exam before the cleaning. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She really took her time to explain everything to me and also recommended some suggestions which I found very helpful. I would definitely reccommend this office for your future denistry. i went in for a routine tooth cleaning expecting the same quality care I received from Dr. Siefferman and his hygienist spouse. Unfortunately the new staff and surroundings did not meet my expectations. The hygienist room was loud and I could everything being said by a dentist and his young patient and mother nearby. I thought they were in the room with me. I was in there for 2 hours and never got my teeth cleaned since a routine cleaning would not be performed. I came in with no signs or symptoms of gum disease but experienced essentially unnecessary probing of my gums with multiple numbers heard with no ongoing explanation of their significance. I insisted that no deep cleaning would be performed due to a prior painful experience. Per Dr. Siefferman, deep tissue cleaning is only necessary if there is evidence of peridontal disease. Significant complications can also result from deep cleaning making a condition benign to something serious. The hygienist probe is essentially subjective with a number only suggestive of further analysis. No blood was noted on the probe and my gums were neither sore or inflamed. Dr. Litkowski noted an area on the X-ray as a potential problem but made no comparison of an earlier X-ray showing a static condition or evidence of progression. I pointed out that I went 60 plus year with routine cleaning though she insisted that this is the new way. Not my way so i chose the highway. read more

Dr. Alyssa is absolutely amazing! She takes her time to explain everything she's going to do, which really puts you at ease. My daughter was missing a permanent tooth and received a Maryland bridge. Dr. Alyssa spoke with her, listened carefully, and made sure she was happy with both the plan and the final result. She is not only an amazing dentist but an artist as well. I had a teeth cleaning and I have it every 6 months with a wonderful professional Dental Hygienist Noel. I have an overcrowded mouth and she always instructs me how I need to take care of my issues with my teeth and supplies me with the proper tools to brush them. I will continue to go every 6 months. I can't even find the words to describe how happy I am with my visit. I've always had bad teeth and dreaded going to the dentist. Today however was an amazing experience. Staff was so polite and welcoming, office is clean and tidy, everything you look at just shines. Now that's super important to me especially at a dental office. I ve been a patient of Dr. Denis for 25 years. He s a great and caring professional - his and his staff's examinations keep an eye on potential problems and are quick to notice and care for immediate problems. All support staff are friendly, perform thorough checkups and gentle cleanings. Regarding my senior citizen mother with denture problems - after visits to three other area dentists, Dr. Denis was the only dentist who understood her problem and adjusted her dentures to eliminate pain. Dr Denis is really good. When I decided to switch dentists it immediately became a family affair. They are very good with the boys who are eight and my husband thought both the doctor and the hygienists were a big step up. I didn't think when I made the first appointment and scheduled the boys and my husband at the same time. Usually not a good move when dealing with autistic children but in this case it worked out fine. They put them in side by side rooms and gave me a chair in between. Very organized, friendly, and professional. The dental hygienists are friendly, efficient, and thorough. They keep good records and are prepared when you arrive. They point out changes since your last visit even if it was years ago. Dr Dennis Bartz is highly skilled and he has excellent "bedside manner". He actually listens and takes your comments seriously. My smile looks the best ever. On my recent visit, he injected some pain killer and I hardly felt it. When he went to work, I didn't feel any pain at all. He is always expanding his knowledge and learning new techniques. He even teaches a class at dental school. I have never felt so comfortable with any dentist. Everyone here is amazing!! I had an emergency situation where two caps and a bridge of mine fell out. I called around and everyone said they couldn't get me in for at least 4 days and I couldn't go 4 days missing 3 teeth in the front of my mouth. Dr. Alyssa is an amazing dentist. The entire office is a very clean, relaxed setting and very professional. Dr. Alyssa is a perfectionist and it really shows in her work. This was my daughter's first cleaning (she is 3 1/2) and it couldn't have gone any better. I was nervous, of course, that she wouldn't sit, that she'd cry, or that it would just be torture for one or both of us. Samantha did a great job putting her at ease, explaining everything she was doing, letting her explore the exam room and speaking to her in kids terms instead of unknown medical terms. I had considered bringing my kids to a pediatric dentist because I thought they would be better equipped to entertain/distract children but when it comes down to it, it's the people that make the difference, not the bells and whistles, and everyone at Bartz & Bartz was wonderful. I highly recommend Bartz and Bartz Dental. Wonderful staff and I can personally attest that Dr. Denis who is my doctor is the best dentist I have ever had! I am so happy with this dental office that I travel from the Chicago NW Side all the way to Oak Lawn. It can be about 1 hr in travel for me, but well worth it. read more
