This place was good but kind of on the higher priced side. Online menu is not correct with new prices but I did enjoy the salsa and chips. I tried their carnitas burritos. Unfortunately came back here a second time and had a pretty bad experience. Were sat quickly shortly after dinner time around 7:30pm. But weren't greeted or asked about drinks fo about 10mins. The service was terribly slow and inattentive the whole time. Our food took forever and our margaritas even took a long time to come out. Weren't ever really check on once we finally got our food and I needed assistance with a side, I never got. The food tasted off like it was old our sour as well unfortunately. I didn't complain nor could I have since we weren't even waited on very well to let them know our concerns. Ultimately paid the price for the bad food bc I got food poisoning and was really sick that night. Haven't returned since then. Really unfortunate experience as I was excited to try out a New Mexican restaurant. read more

An excellent new dining option in Lebanon. Honestly, I was blown away when I walked in and saw the dining room. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant! An upscale dining experience for sure, with a very attractive bar area. This restaurant is beautiful inside, with a very good use of space. Booths and tables are well arranged, and there is seating in the bar area. The interior is nicely decorated, and the plants throughout the dining area add a nice touch. Even the restroom is attractive. On my first visit I ordered my food to go. It was well packaged and delicious. My recommendation is that you do not leave without trying the Guacamole Leon. It is very unique, unlike any other guac I have ever had. It is made fresh, and with chucks of avocado instead of "smashed." Trust me, if you like guac you will love Guacamole Leon. I also ordered the Enchiladas Rancheros Trio, which was three different enchiladas coved with cheese and red sauce and served with your choice of beans or rice. I chose the beans, which had a savory flavor and hood texture. Employees are extremely friendly and helpful. This is my new go-to restaurant when I am working in the Lebanon area. read more

Visited Leon's with some colleagues while in town and wasn't disappointed. We shared the Leon's Guacamole based on reviews and it was delicious! Loved the larger chunks of avocado and the seasoning was perfect! The carna asada tacos were fantastic and the chorizo taco was good, but the carna asada tacos were definitely the best. Walking into Leon's, we found upscale, lovely decor with unexpected attention to detail. A lit fireplace, beautiful granite tabletops and a lovely bar are among the features that give a modern vibe to the dining room. We were greeted with a hearty welcome and promptly seated. Complementary chips and salsa came out quickly as we studied the menu. Water glasses were kept full, food came out quickly and we were checked on frequently. We had 5 star service. The menu includes traditional Mexican favorites. They have lunch and kid's menus with good pricing. I ordered Leon's Bowl. From the lunch menu, which is a modern healthy twist of a mix of fresh ingredients including avocado, lettuce, beans, rice and more. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. My lunch was refreshing and filling. My husband had a combination lunch with burrito and chili relleno. He raved about the relleno and thought it was the best he'd ever had. The beans tasted freshly made as well. The burrito was ok. I definitely return. They are an easy on and off of US65. Picked up takeout from Leon's during some travel through the area. The Guanajuato burrito was delicious and filling, I got it with al pastor (which I was excited to see as a protein option). My wife's order was made wrong but they fixed it after letting them know. She said the chile rellano and enchilada were good. We also tried the Guacamole Leon and it was awesome. Came here for lunch with family and had a nice experience :) we were promptly seated and our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. He came around often to make sure our drinks were full. The food was amazing! Definitely one of the better places in Lebanon. This would be great for a solo outing, family meal, friends, a date, really anyone could come here for a meal. They have tons of options if you're a little on the picky side like me. I have traveled all over and have tried Mexican cuisine all over Indiana, this by far is the best I have had! Nacho and Benny are excellent in Service. The place has a great atmosphere. Leon's doesn't look anything like the old dennys. It's very clean and well decorated. Service was great even though they were busy on a Tuesday (but it's a new place in town). The waiter kept our drinks full, stopping by to see if we needed anything. They were quick to clear the tables and get others seated. The food was hot and delicious, well presented. I was slightly disappointed in the salsa. I like it chunky, but I won't turn down any salsa. read more

My family ate here for the first time tonight. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, which is sometimes lacking when dining with children. The food was delicious. I loved that we each got our own bowl for salsa. Why doesn't every place do that?! We will definitely be back. read more

The food was okay, the service was horrible. Charged my card 3 times and refused to refund me until it went through. Had to make a special trip back to get my money back. It's nice and clean inside. The ambiance the service was impeccable. The portions of the servings were large. However the food lacked spices it I found it very bland.

My Wife and four others stop by for lunch. We had order drinks, which I thought was a little bit expensive , for example my Whiskey and coke was 12.00+. Ordered food, which came out hot and great taste. They kept us with plenty of chips and salsa. We couldn't eat all the food. There was so much. Good service and the ambiance of food was great. Food is excellent! Everything is a little more upscale than your typical Mexican restaurant- atmosphere, food and service (dare I say it's actually classy?) We had street tacos, a tamale and a chili Relleno. Yum! Best Relleno I have had in a long time! And the chorizo tacos were delicious! The salsa served with them was spectacular and complimented the other flavors perfectly. And the homemade sangria topped it all off beautifully. I ordered shrimp enchiladas...expensive, but what was most disappointing was the sneakflation, only about 4 small shrimp that were cut in half to make it appear more generous. Short on protein, heavy on the starch.... very salty read more

We prefer the flavors of El Jaripio...there was nothing wrong with our meal at Leon's it is simply a taste preference. A big enough preference that we will continue to drive a bit longer to El Jaripio. read more

Hello reader, I wanted to share my experience at Leon's Mexican restaurant in Lebanon, IN. My family meet up with two other families so we were a large party of 14 people. PROs - The place was fairly packed but seating was accommodating. - The environment is clean and inviting. - The food was tasty by all accounts CONs - The quantity of food varied by dish (e.g., burritos were large, but fajitas seemed lacking). - The service was slow and borderline bad. Refills went missing and orders messed up. While it was busy, I can see the lack of refills on drinks and chips. But a member of our party ordered tacos with corn shells. The server argued she said "flour" when everyone around her heard "corn". Though I would concede it is a new location that may take their service staff a bit of time to get the hang of it, I would also say that to get my family to return will take a bit of "selling". read more

Great service! We had a party of eight and Adolfo was our server and he took great care in making sure we had everything we wanted. Everyone enjoyed their food selection and even took leftovers home. I think the only thing that would have made our evening out even better would have been if there had not been the singing that the staff participated in at another table.
