I was referred to Luis by a coworker and he was fantastic!…read more In the past 5 years, I've probably worked with a dozen contractors in the Bay Area, from GC, drywall, electricians, plumbers, tile, HVAC, and landscape (after having completed a down to the studs renovation in 2021). I would consider Luis in the top 10% of people I have ever worked with. Luis was easy to communicate with, showed up on time, clearly outlined the scope of work, and delivered exactly what was asked for and more, at a fair price! My water heater was EOL and developed a leak which damaged the plywood housing supporting it. Luis cut out the damaged part, cleaned all the mess out, reinforced the subfloor joists, and replaced it with new plywood. All of this in time so that the plumber could install a new water heater the same day. While he was here, I also asked him to make some small adjustments to my cabinets. One of my cabinet doors had broken off and I ordered new hinges but struggled to get it back on level. Luis made sure that 3 cabinet doors which were a little off-level were adjusted and tightened to open and close perfectly. He even noticed my front door had the same issue and proactively fixed that too. He did such a great job that my fiance wants to hire him to do a fence for us. 5/5 stars!

Most of all, he has determined to no longer respond to calls/emails noting our final concerns with his work although we have paid in full. Some of our concerns below: - Initially built the deck railing height not to code, another contractor doing work inside the house noticed and it had to be rebuilt. The cable railing for the deck was not installed to Oakland's code, but I didn't realize that until work was complete (this was also called out by another contractor). - The wood on our deck is cracking and warping after 6 months - Did not complete drip irrigation in front yard as agreed - Did not provide map of the irrigation system so we understood where the emitters were placed - Many trees planted are dying Although we really liked Jose when we met him, we do not recommend working with Zamora Landcape Design, due to issues with the quality of work and lack of follow-up.

However our experience in working with Jose is worse than what Andrea F. of Oakland had posted. For a period of eight months in 2019 he worked on projects on our property and we got nothing but very disappointing results in his design, his work (defective, lack of quality and incomplete) and his very unprofessional behavior. None of the work on our landscaping contract was completed. The part he did complete, such as part of the concrete work was poorly finished, has numerous chips and cracks. Outside of our landscaping contract, he also did the drainage work as a subcontractor to our general contractor, grading the yard and building rear fence shared 50-50 with our neighbor. We now have to hire someone else to fix water leaks along drain pipes, pipes exposed above ground, to grade areas of the yard not graded, and to correct sections of rear fence which is an example of one of his poor designs. Jose often ignored our requirements and insisted on his design over our objections. The horizontal sections of the rear fence put in by him not only do not match the style of the rest of the rear fence, they also do not provide us with the privacy we need in the backyard of a corner lot property. Jose took payments for landscaping work in advance of work completion then disappeared and left his workers in charge without proper instructions. Like what Andrea F. from Oakland had experienced, when we had concerns about his work (sometime while the work was still in progress), instead of addressing our concerns, he stopped responding to our emails, texts, calls etc. for weeks and eventually no show and no communication for months leaving us with mountains of debris, bare dirt, unsafe open trenches from incomplete work right before the start of the raining season and after we had paid him two thirds of our landscaping contract. Jose often worked on change orders without letting us know the cost beforehand. Some of the change orders were initiated by him. The amounts he charged for the change orders were unreasonably large. For example of the fence he installed for us and our neighbor, we did not know the cost of the horizontal fencing material until we received his invoice. His failure to disclose the change order and get pre-approval resulted in our neighbor refusing to pay her 50% share of the change order. Jose seemed likable and knowledgeable at first, but don't be fooled by appearance as we found out the hard way after spending time, effort, expense and now we again have to spend a large sum of money to correct the mess he left behind and to complete the project. Based on our experience in working with Jose, we do not recommend Zamora Eco-landscapes for any work.

They forgot to pick up the grass from my side yard, so I had to do it myself. Additionally, they do not come regularly, which caused my trees to look bad. From pressure washing to patching holes to trim details to garage and exterior wall painting, Rony did a fantastic job with everything. He is very detail oriented and does everything to make the customer happy. He is very pleasant to work with and we now have hired him for our next project which is exterior deck staining. Rony does an incredibly awesome job, and so much better than most bigger contractors.

Jorge was so nice and friendly when we were getting a quote. Answered all my questions and even came back to our house again before we committed when we had additional questions. Also loved their turf options over others I considered in terms of color and feel. And was best for communication and price vs other vendors. Administration throughout the whole process was very organized and seamless. They ended up having an earlier opening from when we booked so we got the turf two weeks early!! Installation: 4 guys came and did this in ONE DAY. This was a very intricate and detailed job not only accessing the backyard but cutting out each piece of grass around the existing wood (see before photo where this was just gravel). They guys were great and did great cleaning everything up when the job was finished. We couldn't be happier and could not recommend them more! We are over the moon!!
