I am getting my backyard landscaped (review later) and realized that I never stained my fence when I first had it replaced about 3 years ago. After a positive experience with Agellon restoring our exterior wood services earlier this year, I hired the company again to straighten and reinforce a section of fence that was leaning. Matt came out within a couple days to give an estimate and the work was completed the next day. The estimate process was honest and transparent - I asked about a few other issues and Matt clearly told me what was necessary and what was not. Awesome fence! I made an appt with Matt and he arrived on-time for the estimate. We reviewed the work that needed to be done and the various options. He took some measurements before leaving, then provided a quote a few days later. After seeing his other work on here, I was quick to sign and we agreed on a date for install. The crew came out and fixed the fence and replaced the small gate with a much sturdier version. The larger double-door gate required a day for steel construction and assembly with the wood paneling installed the following day. The quality is amazing! And the work is beautiful! Been meaning to submit this review for a couple of months. We searched out several Fence companies to have our old rotted fence & sticking gate replaced. Matt quickly arrived to see the job. Considering a company for a big project/expense, I usually get about 2-3 quotes. I have to say that I lucked out finding Agellon and its owner, Matt. The experience was awesome from start to finish. The things that sold me on Matt (Agellon) were not just that he was very competitive with prices but refreshingly responsive and communicative to any questions and/or concerns. On top of that (and this is just me), I liked Matt's quote, which was straightforward, simple, and not too convoluted with info (jargon) I couldn't understand compared to other quotes. We had our Deck Power washed and re-stained this week by AGELLON Fence Restoration, Inc. Matt, the owner, gave me a quote that was competitive with several other quotes, but he is a local Business owner and I always try to support our community. After agreeing to the price, the deck was power washed a few days later and a few days after that, another crew taped off the whole deck after light sanding in some areas. They then stained the deck. After allowing the stain to penetrate the wood, they removed the excess stain. This crew was exceptional in their attention to detail and my wife loved the color.. Matt & Edwin & his crew at Agellon are amazing! Not only were construction & materials used both absolutely top-notch, but they worked extremely fast & were able to start the job almost immediately (virtually unheard of in fences, as half my estimate calls had start dates 3-4 months out). I had just done my left side fence back in July w/ Dynamite fence, but they unfortunately went under due to the pandemic (supply chain issues, apparently. Bummer). So I had to start the hunt for a fence contractor all over again. Ugh. In addition to the usual googling & calling referrals from friends & family, I decided to use Yelp's quick quote function, & that's how I found Agellon. Matt was super quick & responsive, which was crucial for me, since my fence job was a bit of an emergency (next door neighbors accidentally dug up most of the posts to my right side fence, which was falling over & held in place by some 2x4 braces I tossed up to hold us over. Rear fence was almost 40 years old & totally falling apart too). Matt's bid was very reasonable, he explained that he used all pressure-treated wood for both posts AND kickboards (above & beyond, most just do posts pressure-treated), strong Doug Fir for the posts (not just cheapo Home Depot lumber), dipped post bottoms in tar for extra moisture resistance, & used good quality redwood (we did con common, con heart didn't seem worth it) for the fenceboards with GRK screws (not nails). Sign me up! They built me a GORGEOUS board on board 7' privacy fence for my 51' right side section, & they did a fantastic job working around the existing mason block fence foundation (which my father & I built 36 years ago when I was 12, lol) to also create a 7' board on board privacy fence for the rear. They built a new custom double-door gate for my neighbor, hauled off both the prior fences & were even gracious enough to take some boxes & crap we had laying around the backyard, since they had a bit of room left in the junk trailer. All done in record time (3 days), with minimal disruption (we have renters in the property) & every interaction with Matt & his team was pleasant, well-informed, accurate, honest, quick & thorough. The recent rain and wind storms in SF Bay Area finally took down our shared neighbor fence. I called Agellon Fence to come out and give me an estimate for repair and one for replacement since the fence was old and ugly. After much discussion and insurance claim we decided best to replace it. Agellon worked with our schedule to get the work done efficiently despite the cold rainy weather. The construction of the fence seems very solid. Framing all assembled with screws and pressure treated posts and kick boards. Everything else was quality redwood. They even fixed up one older section I was keeping and swapped around boards (louvered to board-on-board) to match the replacement fence. They were very thoughtful and respectful. This company did work on my parents property. They quoted the work in a timely manner. When they did the work it was done in a quick effectent manner resulting in a very good looking fence. What was trully impressive was that they were open to new ideas and or using the existing metal fence posts so the these did not have to get ripped out and repoured.
