My niece told me how rude they were to native people, so i had to see for myself ( thinking, she kinda has a bad attitude at times). i went there and sure enough, no one came to wait on me, i had to go stand in front of the 2 staff talking to each other. when i said excuse me, they looked at me like i had 2 heads, and i felt like i was bothering them. i asked about some end tables, and the lady told me "what we have is probably out of your price range!", i said, it probably is, because your attitude is priceless and i walked out! ive never been back and that was 3 years ago. read more

This is a message for buyers, "Buyer Beware" once you leave the store, they washed their hands off the guarantee. Within three days of having bought a dishwasher which arrived with a wrapped broken part, I signed that everything seemed o.k. the broken part was only found when the people were installing the dishwasher. Leons was not responsible, I had to contact Whirlpool which took hours to reach, promised the part would be at my home within 72 hours, however, it took 10 days for the part to arrive. After many trips to Leons, I was offered the new part on loan while waiting for the new one. Be careful when you sign that the appliance is perfect. read more

I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator (Floor model) this past summer upon moving to Oromocto for near $2K. The salesman said Frigidaire offered a great warranty and that they were top quality fridges. It leaked immediately upon dropping and the body was slightly bent by the delivery guys. I notified Leon's and their attitude was very dismissive, telling me to call the Frigidaire number and quickly hung up the phone. It leaked for months while people to service it continued to show up and not repair it. Now it doesn't leak as loads of foam was sprayed into it which I think was a "bandaid" solution. Instead it "pops" loudly about 40 times a day. So far, the popping has seen two services that have both been unsuccessful. I will recommend to anyone I meet to not go to Leons since their customer service is lacking and they don't stand behind their products. read more

My husband and I went to Leon's on Saturday, February 8th to look for a new range. Following a lengthy conversation with a salesperson we decided to check to see if we could take advantage of their nothing to pay for 2 years option through Desjardins. Partway through this, we decided to slow the whole process down telling the saleswoman to not process the application for credit, we wanted time to think and we took her card. The long and short of it is there have been two credit inquiries made against me, one on the 8th and one on the 9th. Both were down against my wishes and without my permission. We spoke to the saleswoman yesterday, February 9th and she denied submitting the credit check on Saturday and took no responsibility for it whatsoever. Today I received a second alert from Credit Karma and discovered the credit application had been submitted again on Sunday! To say I am irate would be an understatement and now I am concerned there is something fraudulent taking place. My husband and I actually bought the identical range at another retailer for considerably less money. I am being forced to give a star rating to submit this review but in my mind, they do not deserve any rating whatsoever and I will be pursuing this with not only the store management but the Head Office too. read more

There is ZERO customer service at delivery. They WILL NOT haul away your old appliances. They WILL NOT even remove your old appliances and set them outside. They WILL NOT install your new appliances. They are brought in the house boxed. And they WILL NOT tell you this at the time of purchase. I even asked prior to purchase if they would haul away old appliances and they said 'no'. I still thought that meant they would at least take them out and set them outside. What they didn't tell me was that I had to remove the old appliances before they arrived. I'm standing there by myself when my fridge arrives and they expected me (60 year old woman) to haul out my old fridge first!! By myself! Without their help or equipment! I miss Sears service. Unbelievably bad service on our last purchase there. Purchased a sofa and love seat on 27 Dec, 2011, with delivery due 4 weeks later. Called at the end of January and was told it wouldn't be in until April due to (a presumably 4 month long) Chinese New Year. We were told at this time that they KNEW they couldn't meet the scheduled delivery date when they sold the items. Nothing was offered to compensate for having our money for an extra 3 months. Items arrived in late April and were not as comfortable as the floor models. We were told to wait 4-6 weeks for them to "uncompress", but that if we did and they were still unsatisfactory, we couldn't return them. We did return the love seat, but were not given a full rebate on the "magic seal" conditioning on it because there was a deal on multiple units We only got it reduced to the amount for a single unit. This in spite of the fact that the love seat now has that conditioning, and can be sold as such, giving the store a windfall profit. As well, after waiting for the credit for the return of the love seat to appear on our credit card, we called the store. They told us they don't maintain the credit card information and that we would have to come into the store to "apply" for the credit!! Surprise!!! No, they don't call to inform you of that, nor did the guys picking up the furniture mention it. read more

One of the worst experiences of a lifetime in a purchase. Bought living room set dec 15th. Delivery to be dec 27th - failed to comply -our living room went furnitureless for over 3 weeks - then damaged - another horror. Still awaiting for promises to be kept. Terrible customer service. I bought a complete bedroom package from Leon's for approximately 2K and was told that it would assembled upon delivery. I arranged for my partner to be home at the agreed upon time of receipt. Sure enough, the set was delivered but the guys left without assembling anything. When I called the service number, they informed me that my partner was unable to stay for the required time to set everything up, and that there was furniture in their way preventing the same. At no point did a conversation happen between my partner and the delivery guys, therefore I found it interesting that this information was logged as the reason for their not putting the set together. The only pieces of furniture 'in the way' were 2 night tables (that my partner could have easily moved for them had they of asked) and the bed - difficult to move that out of the room given my apartment living conditions but this too could have been placed against a wall had they have asked. My conversation with the service desk resolved nothing - no solutions were given, no offers to come back were made, and I was blatantly lied to about the circumstances of their service failure. I will not shop here again - thanks for taking my money. read more
