Opened up chicken sando...see how skimpy the size?
    Rachel P.

I saw an add for the chicken sando of the month: Dill pickle something. I was excited, so I got my good friend down to try Leo's out. Friend ordered Beef Dip. Looked generous in beef but she said it wasn't the best. My chicken sando: done nicely flavour-wise. The add offered more pickle than what was received (no fried pickle spear, no more than 4 pickle slices). What really got me was the chicken...was like 1/4 a chicken patty. Barely any meat, mostly breading. Plus PS: if you're gonna do a dill pickle chicken in the future, do what everyone does and brine the chicken breast in dill pickle juice. Dust with dill pickle seasoning. Add cubed dill pickles to the ranch. Dude! The sides: we both got soup of the day: chicken fajita....not at all. Was chicken tortilla but still awesome taste. I found a bone in my soup & waitress only offered to refill, no comp. No thanks, don't need to break my tooth on another bone. On that note: if you're serving the same side to both parties: make them equal! My bowl was only 3/4 full and sparse with ingredients whilst my friends' was overflowing both with quantity but also ingredients. Waitstaff was good at letting us know their take out orders (DoorDash etc) were taking priority over our meals and apologized by continuing to ignore us, even though we needed a drink refill & our ketchup was empty. Like I said, once meals arrived, my chicken sando was more batter than meat. I paid $40 for a beer & 1/4 chicken filet with a few fixing. Yes it was tasty, NOOOO was it worth $40!!! (Includes 20% tip). Will I come back? Maybe if I get my bone in soup comped & a proper sized chicken breast (I can get a Big Crunch from KFC for 1/2 the price). Waitstaff did let us know at the end of the night that they can make almost anything on menu vegan! So that's cool!!!

Well what can I say? I know Leopoldo's tavern from Alberta, and they are famous for their food, drinks and especially for their service. Came here and it was disappointing, the food was not so great. Dry burgers and burn fries. The waitress was running all over the place. We need water and no one showed up. I came to the bar and the bartender saw me and gave His back. Give two stars for the waitress and the environment. Other than that, do not compare this restaurant with the AB location. This one is a lost of time!

Best place for unique poutines. Or you can have a fish bowl of poutine. So yummy. Great service. And right on a major bus route.

As I've had many roast pork and chicken combos, I thought I'd switch it up and try this place out…read more The chicken is a little lean and not as plump as I'd like but the roast pork is really nice.

This is such a nondescript shop. I have walked past it, parked right outside it when going to other…read moreshops and never even noticed this place. I only learnt of this place when googling for roast meat and this popped up. The store is divided into two sections. One for the cooked roast meat where the menu is at the back of wall. Written in both Chinese and English, they are quite hard to read though. Bring your glasses or better yet, take a picture and zoom in on the photo like what I did. The other part is where you can buy fresh uncooked meat. The other side is lined with refrigerated items. Besides buying the roast meat, you can also have it with rice with your choice of meat. I bought a pound (min order) of roast pork and half a Hong Kong style roast duck (pipa duck I believe). I will say communication can be quite tough as the staff seemed more comfortable speaking in Cantonese which I do not speak. So it has to be a basic ordering in English without any questions or requests. The roast pork has super crispy skin which is really good but it also has such a thick layer of fats underneath that I had to remove it. You could probably save those fatty bits and fry them later to make lardon and add to your home cooked noodles or something. I like the pipa duck. Tender and tasty meat. Tip/Life hack: I googled and found a way to reheat the leftovers so they do not dry out -- cover the meat with foil and heat in oven at 400c for 20-30 mins. For the roast pork, I only covered the meat part and let the skin peeked out so the skin got even crispier.
