This place had $12 weekend brunch we had to try. I had a Southern Fried Benny Bowl; Hash browns topped with a poached egg, buttermilk fried chicken, cheese curds, hollandaise, cajun seasoning and chives. We also ordered a Classic Breakfast Bowl with bacon, fried egg, and hash browns. We ordered a side of Cinnamon Churros with sugar waffles, and a Shirley Temple. Food was good but rich. Food is overpriced for what it is. I know the whole thing about price increases etc but if you're paying the same amounts as some of the higher end restaurants, you'd expect a higher quality too, which isn't the case. What could you change?...Everything. Haha. The decor is funky and fun but that's about it. Long wait for drinks. Long wait for food. Food was just ok. Fries were cold and overdone. Baja tacos were not consumed as one bite in... something is off but couldn't put my finger on it and was not willing to take a chance. Had to ask for napkins. No refills. I think only two people are working in here. Not enough. Music has too much bass with is annoying. Shame cuz tunes are great. Wow. Why are there so many people in here? Well. Guess that's it. male bartender at from is worst employee. he is arrogant and lazy.. i was picking up uber order for 2 customers. without checking at back for order told me 5 mins . i waited for 10 mins and then i ask how long for order?he arrogantly looked at me and went back .. he waited ther 5-7 mins did not come back.. i finally informed uber that order is not ready.. they said if i don't want to wait cancel the order. i did cancelled order. feeling sorry for customers waiting for order.. bartender is worst employee. should be fired such arrogant person.. read more

I usually go to the location in Bowness but last night I came here with a large group for some drinks and food, showed up a little after 10, some of my group was already there and I'm not sure what happened before I arrived but our server had an attitude the moment the rest of us sat down. We're all in the same industry so we know how inconvenient large groups can be, but we were all planning to tip well and be as small of an inconvenience as possible. I noticed her look at our table, then at her coworker and make a gesture like she had a gun to her head so I suggested we all pay for our drinks and leave. When my friend asked for the bills she started arguing with her, accusing her of wanting to leave because she was annoyed she got asked for id but we all had decided we were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. My friend had to ask for the bills a dozen times because she kept arguing. tried to call ahead of time to make a reservation or at least let them know we were coming but my friend couldn't find a phone number online. We all understand large groups can be stressful, but we were honestly prepared to make it as easy as possible because thats happened to us before. I would never let a table know I did not want to serve them, it's unprofessional and I want to make tips. read more

My review was removed awhile ago. Made a visit with friends here on September 11th. The place has good food and service. However, I did not like the fact this place is small inside and that they have tables so close together. The table next to us had four people, two of which were coughing and blowing their nose. I will not support a pub that puts profit ahead of customers safety! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We went a year ago and had absolutely terrible service. Sat for more than 20 minutes before I finally went to the bar to ask if anyone was going to help us. The waitress had an attitude and acted as if it was our fault. Vowed to never go back. Well.... A year later we were like, what the heck, let's give them another try. 50 minutes and they still hadn't started making our food. It wasn't like they were busy at all. I was so happy when this location opened up!! I love the one in Bowness and love the fact that I can bring my pup to the patio. I have made this place a destination go to after my dog walk. Friendly staff and amazing food. I love the ever changing poutine of the week, burger of the month and specialty drinks. Their weekend breakfasts are also the best. The hangover cure is deadly. I would be there every week to try the new poutine if I could. The inside is so neat with so much going on on the walls, it's a conversation in itself. Have been to the Bowness multiple times and completely loved it. Went to this location a few times now... For some reason the fries at this location were super dry and honestly the food was not comparable at all :( The fish and chips were crispy to the point they were almost not edible. I think our order may have been forgotten? We were only a group of two, but many larger tables(3-4 ppl per table) had come after us and were served food a solid 15 mins ahead of us. The fries for both dishes were ice cold. My friend's burger was disgustingly soggy. The waitress only checked on us once the entire 2 hours we were there. Not sure we will return to this location. read more
