I'm shocked people are keeping this place in business. My boyfriend insisted I try it, so we went in last night about 730. They were out of macaroni salad, potato salad, no draft beer, out of the few bottled beers we requested. Finally my boyfriend just asked the waitress to bring whatever they do have. Bud Light - go figure. It took us about forty minutes to get our food...which came out in parts, not served in its entirety. And this was after our waitress had to go ask the kitchen several times. The wings were almost hard as a rock, the raw chips were definitely not medium. The time it took to get food, considering that it wasn't busy and there were at least six guys in that kitchen, was kinda deplorable. The place also is just so dingy and dark. There doesn't seem to be any pride in ownership. It was just a regrettable experience overall. My boyfriend was shocked at how crappy the experience was. After doing some research, turns out it has changed ownership since he had last been. The only upside was that our waitress was kind, polite and competent. My husband had heard great things, so we tried Leo's out. I can say without a doubt the worst wings and raw fries we've ever had. Everything tasted like the oil was old. We ordered medium wings that tasted like a can of tomato sauce and spicy honey mustard that tasted like a store bought salad dressing. But the celery was fresh and ranch and blue cheese dressing were good. The service was poor also. We were there at least 30min and my husband had finished his drink at least 10mins before the waitress asked if he needed another. And that took another 5mins. Leo's was not busy, only 1 person at the bar and 1 other table beside us. We felt the atmosphere was blah. Don't think we'll be going back ever. read more

Honestly so disappointed, i was told that Leo's was the best for wings - our waitress was kinda grumpy acting, never asked if we needed refills on our drinks, and forgot one of our orders. On top of that my friends and I are terrible sick after eating there. Definitely wont be back. :( read more

I have always been on the fence when it comes to Leo's. Growing up in Lugoff the have always been a staple of the community; however, they have heard the same gripes from people throughout the years. "The wings are too small" and "The inside is funky and old" Well I'm here to say the outside may look the same the inside has evolved. They're still a quaint little hometown burger and wing joint. I arrived and it was like a sweat box. Tony the cook said their air broke this week. I got to the counter and was told to sit at the bar to order my wings Leo's had always been a place I look forward to eating at whenever I came back in town. It was packed and there was even an acoustic guitar player tonight. I ordered 20 wings and raw fries that are exactly like whales ribs whale fries(fresh sliced potatoes thst are deep fried). Those are my favorite. The combo for 20 wings and an order of the fries were 20 dollars even. Great deal. I was told it would be 30 min to get out order which was fine. I went in and paid after about 40 minutes and the cashier had such a scowl on her face it kinda dampened the mood. I did not leave a tip. That's so not like me bit after ordering and them not even asking my name for my order and the mean face cashier I didn't feel a top was deserved. The wings were goid not great the fries were great and of course it came with celery and blue cheese. Leo's years ago was so great I don't know why it's slipped but it has. It's a great wing spot and always had been the highlight to my visits here in lugoff. This time it was mediocre st best. I hope they get their air fixed and hope the cashier pits a smile on her face. The place is a straight up dive, but the kitchen is open, so I can get a birds eye view of the prep station and range if I'm worried about the handling of my food. I grew up eating on picnic tables with the red and white checkered plastic table tops at bbq joints, so no need to judge the dive setting for me. * The wings were terrible. Hands down, those were the smallest wings I've ever ordered, and the flavor was even worse. They were cooked, but they may as well have been boiled in a cheap hot sauce, because the flavor was barely palatable, and the wings were soggy from the inch of sauce they were resting in. I've been spoiled by wing joints and never knew until I tried these yesterday. * The burger might be the best in Lugoff. There's not exactly a lot to choose from, but it's a pretty decent burger. I think McDs, BK, Hardees, 5 Guys, etc all taste like swill, but I like Leo's burgers. * If you go, I strongly encourage trying the microbrews. Leo's wings are delicious and the raw fries are great. The good food and decent prices almost make it worth the 4-7 hours you'll spend on the toilet after eating here. Don't bother dining in cause it's just a rundown bar. Order and pick up your food. Great tailgate or party food. read more

I had heard ( on good authority) how great Leo's wings are. I was so disappointed. This place hasn't been updated (or upgraded) since the 60 's; it's dark, dreary and less than clean. The waitress wasn't particularly warm & fuzzy either and the wings were those little tiny things they cut off pigeons. We ate here the other night and we will not be eating here again. The staff was friendly enough when they were present and the food was hot, but it was just not a good experience. First off, the place is old, dark, and reeks of stale smoke and grease. In fact, when we left, we could smell the grease on our clothes as if we'd been standing next to the fryer all night. There were flies that kept flying around the table and landing on the food. It made us wonder if thats why they kept it so dark in there. The chicken tenders were a little on the over done side and not seasoned at all. The wings themselves were cooked crispy like we like, but they were so small that the crispiness almost made them like wing jerky. The teri-hot sauce is probably some of the best we've had in the area, but we were completely turned off once we realized that one of wings had a claw or feather or something gross poking through the sauce. Talk about a complete stomach turner! The bill was cheap for all the food we tried, but there are just far too many other superior wing joints for us to continue going to this one. read more
