    Lomo Saltado Sandwich
    Romeo L.

Six of our ROMEO group were here for lunch today. I had been previously and it was the first time for the group. We were first in the door and ordered drinks. None of us had eaten Peruvian food (except I had been here once and had one dish) so it took a minute to look over the menu and decide what everyone wanted. The owner/cook explained everything and was great in helping us decide. I went with the same thing I'd had on my first visit, since it was so good (the Lomo Saltado meal with rice, stir fried tomatoes/red onions/ with beef and two good sauces for dipping. I also ordered the plantains which are excellent. We had another order of the Lomo Saltado with Chicken/Lo Mein noodles in a brown sauce. Had one order for chicken wings and fries rice and three orders for the Lomo Saltado Sandwich...which everyone went nuts over. I'll probably order that next on my return. Very small place with Peruvian photos and knickknacks around with a very friendly owner/waitress. The waitress speaks just a little English but the owner helps out. She told us about the Chicha Morado Peruvian drink and three of us opted for it. Very sweet, purplish drink made from the blue corn, bananas, pineapple, boiled down in water until the corn breaks up and gives off the purplish color. It was good...but very sweet (sugar added). Everyone of us were really surprised at how much we liked the food. I'd have to say this was a real find and probably never would have found it if not for a tip from a friend. Tuesday-Saturday...opens at 11. You really need to try this place out!!!!

We stopped by on our way home to NC. Stopped and ate a late lunch. We ordered the Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado and the LoMein. All of the food came out quickly freshly made. Awesome. A surprise on our way home.

This place is FANTASTIC! We have lived in the area for over 2 years and never stopped by before. Well.. how I wish we had earlier because we loved the food!! The people working there are so nice and kind, wonderful service. Restaurant is small but cozy. Everything homemade! Wonderful food options, plates are large so totally shareable. The desserts are to die for! Absolutely coming back!

This spot was excellent!!! I'm originally from NY, and I'm used to a variety of Latin food, however, the area of SC I live in only has Mexican restaurants, so I don't get a variety like I'm used to. I always had to go to Charlotte or Greenville. We stumbled across this gem by accident. Staff was so friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back. They have a great variety of soups, lo menus, seafood, and the sweet potato fries were awesome. Food portions are hugs and inexpensive. My parents loved the food.

The ladies and I had an amazing dinner at Chaufa Line, if you haven't been there I HIGHLY recommend trying it out, they definitely deserve your business! I had the Lomo Saltado (the first picture), which I believe is their most popular item. It was sooooo delicious. I stole the pictures of the other meals also, sorry Tausha!! Nic and I will be back very soon so he can try it too! 100% recommend, and yes it is a small restaurant but nothing wrong with takeout! We'll probably do that next time. But seriously such a tasty meal, and the owners were so kind.

We went with family visitors from NJ who are Peruvian also n we all enjoyed the food very much! The waitress was very attentive to our needs! We all picked at the Jalea as it was huge n so beautifully placed on dish! At time that we went it was a quiet time so we could talk & all were happy with the time we arrived! Though there were orders being picked up to go! The owner came out to greet us as we were finishing up our meals n was very pleasant in the welcoming. We will be back as my hubby loved his Chupe De Camarón. Our guests were happy we came here to eat on their last day of vacation

They have great food. My husband, son and me have eaten here several times this year and it has always been good food. It is small inside with 6 tables yet it is very clean, and friendly atmosphere. Family owned business that takes pride in their business and it shows in their meals.

    Fresh, hot and delicious food!

Absolutely fantastic! Don't let the outside appearance put you off, the quality of the food is excellent. If you want a good meal and an alternative to the same old thing, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Love this place! The fried rice is my favorite but every dish I've had is delicious! The owner is a chef from Peru and the food is amazing!

Located where the former Moes was in the Pineville Matthews shopping center with Bonefish and Panera. The place looked pretty clean although after ordering my food I noticed the sanitation grade was a 91...yikes. Anyways I went ahead and ate there. So let me start by saying the menu is large, so many different items to chose from and not only Peruvian food. I saw some Colombian and Venezuelan items. With that being said I was very shocked at the lack of standard side items. Literally rice and white rice at that, pinto beans and like one other things. All other sides are considered premium sides and those premium sides would be basic sides at like hello chicken or viva chicken. I got the 1/4 chicken, white meat with reg side of white rice and premium side of plantains. For the dipping sauce I was limited to the yellow mild sauce or the spicy hot sauce. They were all out of the green mild sauce. Just for context I arrived at 11:40, they open at 11. Not sure how they ran out so fast but I would have loved to try it because the yellow sauce was just ok and the red was cold and just spicy no real flavor. Thankfully the chicken was flavorful and juicy, the white rice was white rice and the plantains were cooked beautifully. Also the cashier was great and provided excellent service. All in all, I would visit again but no rush to go back again. Viva Chicken still takes the lead for now for me. I would love them to mature their side menu, increase their sanitation grade and have the green sauce available.

My family and I went for dinner and waited around 15 minutes for a table. The holiday-themed drinks were very fun. I had the Silver Bells, my sister had the Santa's hat and my mom had a holiday margarita. Mine was a nice play on a Paloma. Very fun!! My sister said hers was sweet and she wasn't the fondest. The holiday margarita was tart but I liked it. My mom preferred something a little sweeter. For the food: many menu items were Hispanic-Asian inspired. Reading these, I was intrigued in the food taste and presentation. It just fell short because of carrying on the bandwagon of Asian-inspired food, but then also mixing different Asian cuisines. First, I was curious as to how a bao bun was labeled as a Korean bao bun. The bao bun is Chinese. So if the description on the menu had more details, maybe I could've understood the Korean side. Next, a karaage orange chicken. Orange chicken is Chinese cuisine and karaage is Japanese. This chicken wasn't crispy and the flavor left a lot to be desired. The side of sticky rice that came with the chicken was cold and not sticky rice. Just regular white rice. Next: options. There were a lot of food options so I was impressed with that! I ordered tacos and was impressed with two of the three. The birria taco was good, not great. The barbacoa was not spicy as advertised but nicely moist. The shrimp tapajo only had two shrimp and they needed more flavor in them. I got the two taco platter and then an extra taco. I wish there was a three taco option for the platter. There is 2 tacos and 1 side, 5 tacos and 2 sides and then 10 tacos and more sides. If you want American food (nachos or a burger), you're in a good place. If you want to actually understand the inspired flavors of Asian cuisine, I would pass. But this also comes from an Asian person who likes to cook across the different cuisines. The atmosphere was fun, the staff were nice, the basic food was good.
