No complaints about the food. It tasted like restaurant quality. However, there were a couple…read moreissues overall. A third of the onion that was provided was rotten and had to be thrown out. Although to be fair, there really wasn't any way to know that before pealing it. The main complaint I have is the time. The website said it would take 30 minutes. That was a bald-faced lie. It took me an hour and a half. I'm sure a more experienced chef may have been able to do it faster, but even if I was the flash and travelled at the speed of light, it would have been mathematically impossible to cook it in 30 minutes. Overall it was nice not to have to think "aw what am I going to have for dinner" The website can be a bit confusing, I suppose, but I don't really understand how so many people had trouble cancelling their order. Just press the minus button under all three meals under the "What's in your box" heading until there are three boxes that say "Complete this box by adding another recipe" and make sure you do it two days before it's supposed to arrive.

Used it for a year and I was liking quality and variety...then it went downhill, variety decreased,…read moreprice increase, quality decreased. Also be careful to the way they pack stuff..completely careless, get used to chicken juices everywhere because they pack in such a way that the bag gets damaged or punctured 90% of the times..I messaged them about it, but customer service is pretty much inexistent and only spoke to AI agent uselessly (even when I asked for a real agent, it passed me to another AI one) Don't bother and choose another company

We were…read moretaking one last stroll around Vieux-Montréal and looking for a little snack - so I whipped out my phone and La Cave came up as being close by. The reviews looked great, so we made our way over for some bakes. I assume La Cave gets its name from the fact that you are kinda entering a cave. The bakery is located in a basement surrounded in stone both on the exterior and interior. The bakery isn't large, but it's arranged in a way that foot traffic flows well. They have a good variety of bakes, though we were there relatively late in the day so some had already run out. Despite that, we had several to choose from. We decided to go with the ham and cheese croissant and one of their stuffed croissants. The former was pretty standard - there's wasn't a lot of ham but the flavor was there. The latter was one of those viral circular croissants that have been popular on social media; they had three flavors and I went with the lemon meringue. It was pretty good - it had a good ratio of stuffing to pastry and the lemon curd had a bright flavor. Service as good, the team was eager to help and super efficient. Overall, I had a good experience at La Cave a Manger - there are definitely some good bakes here and I wouldn't hesitate to return to try more of their menu.

This is probably my favorite Metro Location, rarely a bad experience here…read more It's in a strip mall sandwiched between Town of Mount Royal and Outremont, with a vast parking lot. The quality of the fruits and vegetables is second to none, and when they have specials, they have enough and don't run out. The deli and cheese counter has a great selection as well as great service. The bread and pastry section is very varied and anything I get, I loved. The meat and fish section is also very varied with lots of options for all budgets. That is for the left side of the Market as you walk in. The right side of the Market is more standard, but well laid out and again, a great variety. The service is really superb, there is rarely a lineup and you have a cashier and bagboy almost all the time at every counter. There is now a small food court to enjoy your food on the go and there is some live music from time to time.

There are a number of more exotic items, gluten-free products, as well as all the basics. The prices are on par with any other supermarket, but the location might be what makes it take it to a more desirable level - you probably won't see too many people in their PJ's here. Here's my stickler point: this is a service-oriented business and while I appreciate that the days may be long and standing isn't pleasant (I've done my share of it too, once as a supermarket cashier...years ago), employees shouldn't talk to customers on too personal of a level. I don't need to know your life story and I don't want to tell you mine. Once a conversation got sort of insulting towards me, it was very misogynistic and I was too surprised to do much other than leave.
