8 euros for a savory crepe, a sweet crepe and a drink? Yes! But the ingredients used are not fresh (i.e. prosciutto) and the crepe is pre-made from the supermarket - not freshly made dough batter! I was in disbelief when I saw this - in Paris, a cafe is actually using pre-made crepes from the package!! The pre-made crepe is more doughy and doesn't get that slight crunch texture that freshly made dough on the crepe grill will get. Also when the crepe is cooled and not eaten fresh, it just evidently tastes... pre-made. The only reason why I'm giving this place a 3 instead of a 2 is because the woman running the store is really nice. read more

Delicious food at an affordable cost! My brother and I tried two mini croque sandwiches for 2.05 euro each, one classic one with ham and cheese and one with chicken and bell peppers. The classic one was better, but they we're both fantastic and very filling! The pastries here are also a bit cheaper than some of the other bakeries around, yet just as delicious! We tried the triangle amandes (and almond pastry) for 1.90 euro and the apricot and pistachio tart which came with my dad's meal. My dad's combo included a panini, a pastry, a cold drink and hot drink for about 9 euro. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu! As I have said before I'll say it again, this is a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat. It was after 11pm and we were in the mood for something sweet to eat, and I remembered last time I was in the area they were pretty delish! So off we went to give them another try. I went with the caramel crepe this time, and boy was it perfect! My friend ordered the brown butter and sugar crepe and loved hers too! Service was friendly and helpful, even offered suggestions to try. If in the area, give them a try, they are opened late, and it's easy on your pocket book, I think with both freshly made crepes it was under 5 euros! read more

Not sure about the hype about this place... I came here because my brother and I were craving some waffles, which were advertised here. However, the hostess/server said there weren't any. So we ordered some sweet crepes (translated into pancakes). We got a butter, sugar, and lemon crepe, a Nutella and banana crepe, and an apples and cinnamon crepe. First thing we noticed was that none of the crepes were cooked fresh. They were simply heated. My lemon one was too strongly flavored--too much lemon. The nutella and banana one was standard and not bad. The apple and cinnamon was okay, but also too much cinnamon. Then we saw the sweet crepe + salty crepe + cold/hot drink for 8€. It's a good deal, so we also got a cheese and egg crepe, and a chicken, cheese, and egg crepe. The cheese and egg crepe was so hard to eat after a few bites, because the CHEESE was so excessive. When I tried to salvage it and eat the edges instead, it had a weird spiced flavor. Additionally, there were two bees flying back and forth very close to our heads, disturbing our meal. read more

Looking for inexpensive places to eat, I stumbled on this on Yelp. Not far from the hotel. So we went. I noticed many of the people patronizing the place spoke French, so it appears to be a place the locals like. That's a good sign. Simple food but good. Not all menu items are available on any given day. The prices were reasonable for Paris, and the serving size was adequate. I went cheap with the tajine. Came out very hot. I liked it. After a long travel day and my bodily clock being completely off, I woke up at 10pm on a Tuesday in Paris STARVING. Thank goodness for miracles. I ordered a savory ham, cheese, tomato and mushroom crepe. Not expecting much I took my first bite and almost keeled over with pure ecstasy! I don't know what he did, but the gentleman crepe maker put what I think are herbs de Provence into my crepe, elevating it from a snack to a meal. My crepe was a perfect balance of cheese, to meat, to veggies. Not too much of one or the other and it was incredible. They are open late and are great for a snack or meal if you're staying in the St Germain area. Everything was affordable and seemed to be less than 6 Euros--at least the menu items I was eyeballing. The crepes here are excellent! I prefer savory crepes, so I got a ham, cheese, tomato, and mushroom crepe which was very good. I was pleasantly surprised that they used a whole grain crepe for the savory crepe. I tried my cousins' sweet Nutella and banana crepes, and they were just as good. The only reason I give a four star is because their bathroom was a bit run down, and the light turned off when I was using it, forcing me to pull out my cell phone flashlight. However, my husband and I were SEVERELY disappointed and OUTRAGED with everything about this cafe. The minute we walked in, we weren't acknowledged by the one and only elderly lady there making crepes. There were only two tables seated and they were filled to the max. All the guests stared at us (and they were speaking French and muttering racist comments about us), and we were just, shocked. Just because we're Asian-American and do not speak French?? This is unbelievable. They continued glaring at us, over and over, throwing contemptuous glances at us. While this has nothing to do with the actual establishment itself, I can tell you it definitely caught us off guard and we were horribly upset. However, we decided to ignore them. Then, even though there weren't any guests ahead of us waiting to be served, the lady took her time in the back of the counter, cleaning up and writing in a notepad. Her actions spoke louder than what she never said. She still has not spoken to or welcomed us. After 8 or so minutes, my husband and I were still waiting to be served. Still no acknowledgment whatsoever from the woman, so we decided to leave. Once we left, the older woman came out SCREAMING AT US in English with so much profanity about us being Chinese. Hint: just because we look Asian doesn't mean we're all Chinese. For goodness; sake, what year are you living in? She also yelled at us to SHUT THE F*CKING DOOR! Those are her words. Verbatim. I have never seen anyone that appalled at me or my husband, and it was absolutely disgraceful. I have no idea how this place stayed in business for so long, but I really do hope they learn from this review and treat their foreign customers much better. It is so sad that we've encountered extremely horrifying racism in Paris on our honeymoon. While this wasn't the ONLY establishment, this was the most severe experience we had on our trip. When I visited Paris 10 years ago as a student, I did not experience this at all. There are 7 different menus of different styles displayed around the quick-stop food stand. I apparently was ordering off the panini menu and when inquiring of a crepe, they asked me to walk past the next three menus and look down and I'll finally see the crepe menu. LOL The crepes weren't anything spectacular by any means. They were just thrown on a plate and that was it. I don't think it was particularly bad but I also think a solid 3-star rating is generous. read more

So bad/sad that we are still laughing about it. Went on our way to the Thursday morning market as it is just across the street. Got a banana and Nutella crepe that looked like it had been wadded up into a ball and thrown on the plate (should have taken a photo!) Undercooked. Not made with love! My daughter and I fell in love with this tiny place! It became "our place" for breakfast in the morning, picnic lunch to take along. The price is so very reasonable. If you are looking for great crepes, this is place to go! In the short 5 days we spent in Paris, my husband NEEDED to go back here three times just for their crepes. There's something about the crepe itself that sets it apart from the other creperies in the area. They're moist, flavorful and go with just about anything you could dream up to put in them.
