We came late on a Saturday. They had run out of some flavors, but we were lucky enough to score a maple pecan, lavender and raspberry. All were delicious and fresh, with the maple pecan as the shining star. We had Lauderee macarons in DC and Les Petits Bisous blew them out of the water. Stopped in after dinner and purchased an assortment of macaroons. The lavender was amazing! We also liked the raspberry. The proprietor was friendly and made a our visit very enjoyable. We even learned how to correctly pronounce macaroon. A great way to end the evening. read more

Nothing that wrong with Les Petis Bisous at all, just that I didn't get such a kick out of it. I love macarons and theirs were fine but didn't feel they were great, especially considering the price. And being a New Yorker sticker shock usually doesn't faze me (you practically can't walk through any neighborhood in NYC without tripping over a macaron shop). The proprietor seemed nice enough so I don't want to be too harsh. But I've known small bakers for ages and if you don't go in at 5 every morning and do sheets and sheets all day long continuously, and have many clients who buy boxes every few days you won't make the rent, even for a small space such as this. I've been by it several times over the past few years midday and it was always very pleasant and mellow with no baking going on, if it was even open. It's the only place in Havre de Grace that I don't get that great "Havre de Grace" feeling from. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it's probably due to it seeming less like a bakery that could really sustain itself than a plaything. read more

Havre de Grace is our go to stop when we're traveling along I-95, and on our most recent trip, we found this adorable little shop. We're so glad we did - there was a great selection of the best macarons we've ever had, and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The macarons and the box were very pretty, too. We bought multiple flavors (including the wonderful flavor of the month, orange), and one of the lavender marshmallows, and everyone in our family absolutely loved them. I became obsessed with macarons while living in Pittsburgh because of a little French bakery run by an actual French pastry chef. I am so glad I found this place because I simply can't drive to Pittsburgh or down to Sweetheart's in Annapolis every time I want a macaron! So good, they are really fresh. The lady who runs this place lived in France and learned how to make them there. I like the tea flavored ones. A bit expensive but, you get a really good quality dessert! Better than the ones at the Ritz- Carlton. read more

These are fantastic macarons!! I've had a lot of macarons in different cities in the US, they are one of my favorite treats and these made in my home town of Havre de Grace are just great.... You've only been open for 30 min but I've been standing outside of your bakery for 15 minutes with no signs of your pending return. These are almond macaroons that are richly flavorful and very satisfying. Delicately crispy on the outside and light and slightly soft on the inside. Almond is the foundation flavor and then custom flavored like Wanda's website describes. We have had these type French macaroons first hand at La Duree and Fauchon many times in Paris and these macaroons in Havre de Grace . . . .well, we don't need to travel to France anymore to enjoy these wonderful confections!!!
