I brought my car in to check for something in my tire. Had 5 cars in front of us. 6 employees standing behind counters at one time so there are at least 6 employees here. 2 hours later and I'm still waiting. Almost every car in front of me of us was also in for a flat tire- it's not like they are changing breaks and putting 4 new tires on each car... ridiculously slow. Will not be back. Multiple employees playing on phones and showing eachother memes. Management should take a look at their cameras. read more

I had less schwab on ocean beach replace a ball joint on my ram 1500. In less than 27,000 miles the ball joint failed. When they replaced my failed ball joint I found out it was a serviceable ball joint. Meaning it needed to be greased or it would fail. When less schwab replaced my first ball joint they told me it was a non greasable ball joint. When I talked to the manager that I think the part failed because they failed to grease it at my tire rotation, he told me it was just a bad part and if they would have grease it at my tire rotations if would have ruined the ball joint by over greasing it. But if you go to the Moog website they recommend greasing every oil change. And the ball joint has a relief on it to prevent over greasing. So don't trust them if they say it doesn't need greasing. It cost me another 300 dollars to replace the part they failed to grease. read more

I was travelling from out of town and had a flat tire in a very small town ( where no one could help me ). I was able to re-inflate the tire, hoping it was a slow leak and travel back towards Longview around a detour after a fatal accident on Highway 30, very stressed when I arrived at Les Schwab. I still had a 2 Hour drive in front of me and it was getting late. Thank you JOEY for getting me back on the road within 30 minutes and not even charging me for the flat repair. I just acquired an old car with some very squeaky brakes. I asked for a quote for front and rear brakes. They gave me a quote and ordered the parts. After inspection, they found that the squeaky brakes was merely a clip rubbing on the rotor. The squeak is gone. They charge me nothing! I am blown away by their integrity. I have had great service other times I have been visiting this area as well I think there is nothing more important when going to a mechanic than being able to trust that they will get the job done right and that they have integrity. Needed 2 of my tires check, informed they were bad, so I went to purchase 2 tires that had a fair amount of tread. Was in formed with 4 wheel drive all 4 need to be replaced. Oh boy. I ask the clerk to have the mechanic look to see where a increasing click noise was coming from, so they put on $1200 dollars of tires and the clerk acted like she didn't think they found anything. Well $4000 later after the drive shaft broke off, beat the underside of the car and cracked open the transmission housing. I will buy somewhere else now. read more

They did good work at a reasonable price. Customer service was good - a lot of people were mad. However, when I went to leave they apologized. Horrible customer service, two of the employees had a sour attitude while responding to our questions after telling us our car would be done in an hour and we came back and were told to wait another 2. They walked away from us when we were talking and asking questions and gave short unhelpful responses. Don't work in customer service if you don't like working with people. And don't tell someone their car will be ready in an hour when it will actually take 3. Looked like there were a few other unhappy customers in the lobby at the time as well. read more

We have had this Les Schwab put tires on several of our vehicles. We've never had an issue with them and always had good service. The tires have been what we expected and the price what we've been quoted. This time we had a little shock about poor customer service -- very poor customer service. It was not with us. It was with another couple that was coming in as we were going out. An elderly woman and gentlemen were coming in. The elderly woman was struggling with getting the tire from her car into the shop. Where was the employee? Well, this able bodied man was following her and watching as she struggled. My husband would have ran out and helped her had he seen her earlier. She told him that the employees here would no longer carry in the tires for them from their car. What?? So, my comment would be if you need help, go elsewhere. Thus, the 2 star ratings is not for our service but what we saw others were receiving. We could not believe it. read more

Absolute perfection. Just had a complete front and rear brake job. My Outback feels brand new and they are wayyyy cheaper than the dealer. They did more work for less than what the dealer quoted. I always have and will use Les Schwab tires. Apparently the word is out how great they are and wait can be daunting so whenever possible, be the first couple in line when they open of drop it off for pick up later. Unless you want to get ripped off do not come to this location. I came in just for a tire rotation on rims and tires that is 12 months old. The tires have about 6000 miles on them because I only use the car on Sundays. The guy says they're too worn out on the inside you need new tires. I'm sick and tired of these tactics to sell new tires to people during these unprecedented times. Definitely won't be coming back here. read more

A+++ For Customer Service. Yesterday I got off work and I got in my car and notice a tire pressure warning light. So I toggle over and discover that I only have 9lbs of pressure in my right front tire. Ugh I go and look at it and I see a screw stuck in my tire. I drive over to Les Schwab to discover that they closed at 5. It's now 5:04 pm. Murphy's law in Overtime. I can see people inside waiting on their cars to finish up. I figured it can't hurt to go in and inquire. I told the lady at the counter what happened and she told me they were already closed but she would check and see and they could take care of me. She came back and told me that they would take care of the tire. Now I'm at their mercy having no idea how much plugging a tire will cost me. Well less than a half hour later I was driving away and they didn't charge me anything. I asked why no charge and I was told that is what they do. I can tell you this in the future when I need tires or a service they offer, this Les Schwab will be the first place I will go to!! I've been dealing with these guys, here in Longview, but also in The Dalles, Portland, Columbia Falls, Colville, Prineville, and even in Northern California - Susanville, I think it was. I've read some of the negative reviews here, and they certainly may be valid, but in MY experience, these guys here in Longview are professional, courteous, competent, and just as fast as circumstances allow. If I ever need tire work done - regardless of whether it's a hose reel in my garden or a tractor wheel on my Peterbilt - I call Les Schwab first - ANYWHERE in the Pacific Northwest. read more

After such high prices at car dealership I decided to check around for battery , tires, brake service for my 2018 Toyota CH-R I got quoted a 100$ less for battery and said they would check tires and brakes to see if needed replaced ( no charge for inspecting them) I went in for my appt and they said 2 of my tires are very close to new and the others were kinda worn but close to needing replaced and brakes were perfect! So I only needed 2 tires and a battery I appreciate their honesty and truthfulness it saved me a bunch of money! I didn't have to spend unnecessarily! Hard to find service like theirs! As long as they stay that way I'll keep coming back and recommending ! Everyone friendly, very helpful and ready to help! I can't say enough good words about this place and their employees. Both time and both stores i have been told 2 to 3 hour wait to get my tire fixed. f my boss didnt have a account wit Schwabs i would never go there. We had a low tire and took it to Bonney Lake Walmart to have it checked and fixed. It was a Sunday and we were happy to find a place open. They did not even put it under water to find the leak. They said the tires had a slow leak, were old and cracked and not fixable. They said we needed new tires but they didn't have them available. These tires only had 45,000 miles on 70,000 mile warranted tires. We had them aired up and hoped for the best driving over 100 miles home. We went to Longview Les Schwab on Ocean Beach and had them checked the next day. Tire had a very small screw they found after putting the tire under water. They fixed the tire and assured us we had many miles left on the tires. So thankful for Les Schwab's work ethic and honesty! Walmart......not so much read more

Went in and got two new tires in industrial way. Go to leave and now you're sensor, low air light is on. They checked it and said it should go off after driving. 3 days later still on. Was told to bring it back and they would get us right in to fix it. 45 minute wait at least . I said "this was fine, u guys did this" now they say it could be a failing sensor & they start to fail at 10 years. just HAPPENED to go out at the same time they did the tires. Truck is 7 years old. Bottom line, they needed to make this light go away and we shouldn't have to wait because of something they did when we were told we could get right in. Th other day I noticed that the tire on my wife's van was low. So I went to my neighborhood Les Schab. On Ocean Beach Highway near Fred Meyer. The guy who eventually sauntered out asked what he could do for me. He gave me "WTF" look and an eye roll when I pointed to the low tire and asked him to fill it. It was obvous that he felt he had better things to do. It was a hot day. They looked busy. So I gave him a pass. Today I got done assembling my daughter's new bike and I took it back to the same Les Schwab to fill the tires. I stood there....... IGNORED....... For a few minutes. I saw them in there............. They saw me............ Rather than come and and say anything. They just ignored me. I know its a trivial piddly thing. But that level of attentive service, (Top off the tires, quick brake check before a long trip), was why I was always happy to pay their, (higher-than -everyone), prices. So, for your own sakes Les Schwab, please remediate the people at this location about the value of courteous attentive service or lower your prices to be more in line with your competition. People are usually happy to pay higher prices when the level of service warrants it. But when the service goes.............. So do your customers. read more

I was traveling from Seattle to Portland, and with just my luck, I got a screw in my tire! I called around to about 3-4 tire places to get it repaired -- I searched for whoever was closest to my location. Everyone either said they were booked for the day, or said they couldn't help me for one reason or another. How was I supposed to get home?! I didn't have a spare tire, it was approaching 5:00 on a Saturday, and I was 2 hours from home! I finally found this location. I spoke to Bo on the phone and I was so relieved he said could help me! I got there minutes before closing and met Marisha at the desk. She could tell we were a bit frazzled when we ran in. She was so calm and reassuring! After speaking to her, we felt like we were in good hands. They had quite a few other customers, and it was obvious they took us even though they were probably booked. Much to our surprise, they were able to patch my tire AT NO CHARGE! And they stayed about 45 minutes after closing to do this for me! Wade did a great job! I'm so grateful to have come across a place that did not take advantage of our desperate situation, and on top of that, they went out of their way to help us. We were told there would likely be a 90 minute wait to even check the problem but they had us back on the road with new pads, rotors and calipers in that time. Bought a set of brand new all terrain tires here totaling over $800, seems they rushed the job and broke a wheel cap on my Toyota, then just left the cap on the passenger side seat with no explanation. In addition, they did not reset my TPMS tire sensor. Neither items were mentioned on the report before I paid in full. Good thing I went back to the front desk and one of the managers acknowledged the miscue. Had I been in a great hurry, or less assertive, I would've gotten a really rotten deal. Go find another Les Schwab store. Review update: the store manager called me personally to let me know that he had repaired the wheel cap and was sending to me through their store-to-store transit process. The Burien store received the cap, replaced it on my center wheel and reset my TPMS sensor. Much would've been avoided if the it was done right the first time. read more

Yes! This Les Schwab location offers the kind of "good old days" service we hear about but don't often find. It's a busy week here in the PNW. with threats of snow in the forecast--people get a little crazy looking for new winter-worthy tires. I didn't need that, just had a slow leak in one of my rear tires. I called a few other places in Longview and, while everyone was really friendly, the other businesses also gave the "we're really busy, could you come back" feeling. Fair enough! I know what it's like to be overloaded with work. However, when I called this Les Schwab location the response was positive: "Yes. We can do it, come on in." Note, this was calling just an hour before their closing time. The attitude was just the same when I arrived in the store. Great service, and quick considering all the people and cars coming and going. Wishing happy holidays as I signed for the repair. I look forward to visiting them when I need more substantial service. (Before I post my review I do want to say that someone from the store posted on my original review and apologized about my experience. I'm still not sure if I'll go back therefore for the time being the business will still receive the original score that I gave it.) Keep in mind that this is based on an incident that happened on 9-12-2001, I hope their business has improved since then. What happened was our car was next door at Fred Meyer and it wouldn't start. We thought since we got tires from their store the week before and that they were friendly (maybe it was because they were getting our money). But we thought that they could take a look and we would pay for their time and to repair our car. We were shocked that when we got there and asked if they could help we were rudely told no. We tried to explain that the car was near their parking lot however after we said that we were told that they don't send their workers off their property no matter what they then told us to leave or they would call the cops. Not wanting a confrontation, we willingly left. We were walking down the sidewalk next to their building when a worker and another person left the building and the person who is the worker ask where the vehicle was? The other person said that was on 18th Avenue. This upset us because they would not help us but they would go all the way to help somebody else who come to find out was a friend of the worker. This is why we have never return to Les Schwab in over 17 years. I hope that in that time their business has become better at treating the customers with respect. The people here had the audacity to argue with my girlfriend over how long we'd been waiting. Regardless of how long it was, it should have been accepted that it was too long (it was twice what they told us) for us, and that we were unhappy with the wait. The guy then comes back and tells me that I need 4 new tires, 2 if I want them to mount my flat. Fuck that. I would rather drive the rest of the hour and a half trip on my donut than spend money with someone who was rude to my girlfriend. I'm not even sure my tires were bad enough to warrant a refusal of service, I'm thinking the guy just wanted to spite us. read more

It's rare when my mom raves about a place, but the folks at Les Schwab have treated her so well for so long, this review is way overdue. They are consistently kind, consistently expedient, very skilled, and always good on their word. Just today we popped down there because a tire on mom's van looked suspiciously low. I am a fan of Les Schwab, however, I would look elsewhere for brake service. Took my 2007 Toyota in for a tire rotation and I knew my brake pads were close to needing replacement. The estimate was $265.72 and included replacing the calipers with re-manufactured calipers. Apparently this is company policy on all brake service so I'm not knocking this location. Unless my 6 yr. old calipers were leaking, which they are not, or the dust seal is bad, there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to replace them. This added $148.00 to the job plus labor, which I would allow them to lube the slider pins on the OEM caliper bracket assembly. I gladly would have paid $117.00 for pads and turned rotors if needed but I'm not going to ditch perfectly good parts and $150 bucks because of a "company policy." read more

So after having to go here three times and being turned away cuz they were full. I was feeling a little irritated. Having just moved here. All I needed was my tires balanced. Then I called and talked to assistant manager David he had me come right away. And from that point on, I had great service. I will recommend this location to my family and friends.
