I took my truck in last Saturday to have the FRONT brakes looked at amd repaired because they were making noise. We ended up getting new tires as well. I live in ogden so the drive home, my front brakes were still making noise. Looked at the invoice andrealized, they only did the back brakes, I think? Fast forward to Friday (today) and the brakes are about to fail while driving. Okay that may be overdramatic but I did have to pump the brakes to actually be able to stop. After work, I run down to the Riverdale shop and they inform me that the front brakes weren't done. What?!?! That was the ENTIRE reason I even took my truck in! So now, on top of the $1400 paid on Saturday, I have to figure out how to pay for another $700 to replace the front brakes. I had a flat tire today. Went completely flat on I-15 right before the 5300 S. exit. I opened up my trunk to find that my new car did not come with a spare tire. It came with some ridiculous fix-a-flat kit. I pumped the goop into my tire and limped my way to Les Schwab. They got me in within less than 5 minutes. The guy who took the tire off wiped all the goop off of the rim and washed out the tire. He patched me up and got me out of there really quickly. And the best part, I had my payment out and ready. No charge. This place is also very very clean. I like that. Lots of places to sit while you wait. Les Schwab is the ONLY big chain of repair shops I trust. I called around and have found that this place had the cheapest tires. My tired was wearing down and I needed it to be winter ready. When I first arrive I got greeted and showed around. They explained the full service they offered and plus gave me options. When I first got there I gave them my tire measurement base off the tires I had wrong, but I had doubt. They showed me how to confirm the tire size. I discovered I had the wrong size ever since I bought my tires...damn Subaru on state street - but that's for a different review. I got the best cheaper option of the tires and I've been driving it for a couple of weeks now. You can totally tell the difference. When they replaced your tires they will also check the breaks. So if you need it to be changed you can definitely do it there too. They also do alignment check, except they didn't do it for me there. They told me to come back. I mean I was there already and they were already putting my tire on, so I wasn't sure why they couldn't have just done it. Tire changes only took me 40 mins. They had coffee and popcorn for you to enjoy. Also the place was very clean, so it was definitely great. From phone service to service in the business it was great. Totally recommend this place, just still doesn't understand why the alignment wasn't done. read more

My husband hit a curb. We had to get a new tire. The tires that we have on our car we got from Big O. We went to a Big O that was in Murray close to the mall. It was 3:50 p.m. They closed at 4:00 p.m. They aired it up and sent us on our way. We looked up Les Schwab (in Murray). They closed at 5:00. We called them. They got us in. I was very thankful that they offered a great price for dismount of my old tires. I had planned on cleaning up and powder coating my wheels and either getting 2 or 4 new tires to replace the existing. When I arrived to pick up my wheels and tires they were sitting out front, I paid and went to go load them. All of the high pressure TPMS sensors were missing. $53 a piece plus tax to replace. I asked where they were and I was told by the manager who said he took them off personally that they weren't there. They are still programmed to my truck so I know they existed and were there when I dropped them off. He got upset and said he'll go check the security cameras. He did and said he saw nothing. He did the work. I called customer service and they said there was no way I could prove that they were there when I dropped them off and unless they see something on the cameras there is nothing they can do. I called the police and will file a report when they call back. I positively 100% know they were there and their discount on dismount cost me $200 in sensors. I won't go back to Les Schwab again. Just hours before I thought they were my new tire store. read more

SCAM.  My daughter took her car to change out her snow tires back to regular tires.  The mechanic checked her car in general.  After the inspection, he told her all 4 shock absorbers were leaking and a number of other things that will cost her $1500.  She took the car to a friend's honest mechanic.  He said there isn't any leak and everything is good.   I will report this to BBB.  Don't take your car there unless you want to be scammed! read more

I've searched high and low for them in the vehicle and no where to be found. Came here with a flat tire. I had just parked out front and there was already a technician running, yes, running to come greet me. Very polite and professional and got me sorted quickly. My car was ready in 15 minutes. I asked how much and he said free! Just to consider them when I am ready for new tires. I asked when he thought that would be and he actually gave me a realistic answer, not a sales pitch. Will be returning here sometime at the end of summer and buying that set of tires. My driver side tire kept leaking air and I have to keep going to jiffy lube to have them fill it up. Finally I thought I probably just need a new tire. My boss told me to take it to a les Schwab to have them look and just see the problem. So I did, assuming they would find a nail or something and say I have to buy $800 tires. I just want to say thank you so so so much to Tino and his team. My wife blew out a tire while on the phone with me. She was a block away from Les Schwab so I sent her there, slowly so we didn't need to get a tow. She made it 15 minutes before they closed. Tino not only was able to help us change the tire but gave us the deal of a lifetime on a used tire so my wife could drive the car safely. You know how on the Les Schwab commercials they show someone running out to greet you? Yeah, it actually happens, which was a pleasant surprise! I went in to the shop expecting to replace at least one tire, if not get a whole new set of tires, but they ended up saving the day! After I got back home from a road trip, my tire pressure indicator was showing one of the tires being low. I didn't think anything of it, so took it to the dealership to just have them fill things up. They ended up discovering a screw in my tire and said that due to the location of where it was (it was on the outer portion of the tread) that they were unable to patch it. They filled it up and recommended obviously replacing that tire soon along with the other 3 due to the tread depth. I pushed it off for another day or so, and did some research on Les Schwab's website to find a good quality tire to have replaced on my car. Once I had found a tire I thought was a good fit, I went and saw the Les Schwab shop. They were super helpful and nice in coming to a solution for me. They said that despite what the dealership said, the screw puncture was actually in a place that could be resolved with a patch! Yay! They then looked at the tread depth and said I should be fine until winter and then they would recommend tire replacement, and sent me off with a couple quotes for different tires. These guys saved me from unexpectedly shelling hundreds of dollars if I had just stuck with what my dealership said (typical dealership) and made sure I was set and safe for my future driving! I definitely will be coming back here in the winter when it's time to get a full set of new tires! read more

I took my vehicle here for a near-flat tire. Before I had a chance to walk in the service center, I was approached by the manager who asked how he could help me. And he literally did so with a smile. Once I entered the facility I was greeted with another smiley face. I can go to a dozen different tire places but I would return here due to the attitude of the people. I called in a couple of weeks to get a quote for some new studded snow tires. I was given a quote that I immediately wrote in my notes app while on the phone so that I didn't forget or make up a random number from memory. I repeated the quote to her and asked "so this is for STUDDED snow tires right?" She assured me it was. So I made my appointment. When I came up to the desk the day of my appt, I recognized the girls name and realized it was the same woman I spoke to on the phone days earlier. Before they grabbed my keys to get my car taken care of, I asked for a 3rd time what the price for the studded tires were, a tech even came to the front to show me the tire and she stated the price again, which matched what she had told me previously. Perfect! So I went ahead with it and my car was taken back. I get called to the front after my car was done to pay. I come up to the desk and she gives me an entirely different total. A different tech comes and explains that she gave me the price for all 4 tires but not for the studs to be added. The lady at the front shrugged her shoulders and said "oh...I thought that included studs too. Oops" Oops? She didn't feel bad nor did she try to help resolve it in any way. She never apologized for getting the quote wrong. Nothing. If the total was off by a few dollars I wouldn't have cared but the total was an extra $80 on top of what I was quoted. Tires are not cheap! Most people have to budget for these things and to have her shrug and say oops is maddening. I will never come back. So unprofessional and frustrating!! read more

Since I've moved to Utah there are several and I must admit most have been a huge miss...with horrible up-sales and customer service especially Midvale *cough *cough which is such a bummer because they give this business a bad rep! I think this is my first review...so you should read it....thanks Kyle Good. We came from out of town in Utah in a rental car to ski Alta Friday morning. Oh did I mention they got 4 feet of snow in 2 days...including over 2 feet that night. Leave at 7:15 to head up the mountain. And noticed our tire is flat and we are on the rim. We fill up with air and notice nothing is open to fix our tire. You can imagine the words coming out. We drove to Les Schwab just before 7:30 thinking maybe someone is there and Kyle (the assistant manager) comes out. Remember they open at 8. He says the crew arrives at 8 am. We are like...wow bad luck. We jokingly said, "well being the assistant manager you probably have learned a thing or two around here" he said yes, and said let me fire up the compressors. Well he didn't need to. He jacked it up and fixed it for free and the tire was ok. We were on our way before 8 am. Now the best part of the story. We literally drove up to Alta and we're one of the last few cars to make it before the avalanche hit Friday morning at white pine. We had all of Alta to ourselves and waist deep powder with face shots....thanks to Kyle. Everything worked out. Now their service is top notch...that is undisputed. However, their prices and other things corporate controls is not. Which is not Kyle's (or people like him) fault. I don't buy my tires or my friends from Les Schwab. They really need to be open about prices online and be consistent everywhere. That is just one thing. But maybe that is the way the country is going...corporate...you get what I mean.
