Absolutely recommend this place!! JJ is a subject matter expert on all things tires. He helped us with some defective tires on our van and was kind enough to write up a report and store our tires until the warranty issues were worked out with the tire manufacturer. His replacement tire suggestion was PERFECT. We just went back for our rotation/balance and all is good. We are literally trusting JJ with our lives since our RV is our home in wheels, there's a lot riding on it. Van always comes back clean - no grease on anything! THANK YOU JJ!! Went here because the location was convenient. The front desk lady had an attitude and shouldn't be dealing with customers. Was told we were next and 90 minutes later they pulled the vehicle in to start. Also was about 2/3 more expensive than if I would have went anywhere else. Never will deal with them again. I purchased a set of tires for my truck at home in California just 2 days before leaving on a 2900 mile roadtrip through Nev, UT, MT, ID, WA, OR before returning to California. Just two hundred miles into my trip I realized there was a problem with tires. I had a big vibration in the steering. Unfortunately when I stopped in Elko they were unable to look at my truck. So when I finally arrived in Ogden I stopped into Les Schwab to have my tires looked at. Brady was at the desk and took me right in. I was really grateful to Brady, as I had been on the road for 12+ hours and I just wanted this issue resolved. Apparently all the weights had fallen off my tires after the original installation two days prior. So I sat up an appointment two weeks out to have rear brakes done on my motor home. Pads only as I know the rest was ok. They quoted me around $350 to do pads. Appointment day comes I drop off my motor home and get a call an hour later that they won't do just pads. Not their policy. Now I had an appointment because I was on a schedule to leave town. This is where the 5 stars come. Randy the manager paid $216 for half my brake job to be done at Midas. Just because of an error from a mis informed employee! Wow! That is amazing customer service!! First of all let me say I did not buy my tires from this location but I had a slow leak and needed it done quickly and I knew that Les Schwab fit the bill. I've normally purchased all my tires from Les Schwab except this last time. I've always enjoyed their fast service, the people work here are always friendly, and the place is clean. I'd be lying if I didn't say I like the free popcorn too. They got me in right away and fixed the leak on my tire. They said it was from a nail in the tire. And the nice thing was they didn't charge me anything for it. That alone wins my business and the next time I'm in the market for tires I will probably buy from here because of this and past experiences. read more

Customers beware! I've always referred friends to this location for alignments due to them treating me well on my own after the Riverdale location messed up however I want to share my most recent experience. We took a truck in here 2 years ago for an alignments in which they insisted that an upper control arm and ball joint needed replace, a year goes and the truck blows a wheel bearing on the same side they worked on. Upon further investigation the hub nut and that axle was left loose which caused for the wheel bearing failure, they were the only shop that had touched it! This past Saturday we just took the same truck back for an alignment and they insist that both upper control arms bed replaced along with another item and quoted $800. After asking them about the work they had previously done they said it was irrelevant cause they only offer 1 tear warranty on parts and labor. Needless to say after already paying them $600 for botched work to only be told that we have to pay another $800 for work they've already done we'll never be back and I'll never give positive word of mouth advertising again! Most shops have a better warranty on parts and don't nickel n dime every time a costumer goes in. UPDATE! Just had the alignment done at another shop and everything went well! They said the truck looks amazing for a Utah truck. No need for control arms or CV axles or anything else! This Les Schwab said the truck needed all that and they wouldn't do the alignment without. I heard a kind of a grinding noise while driving And I just had New breaks and New roters put on,I went to midas 12th st in Ogden ut They charged me $27 dollars (Instead of a free check) just to look at it look at it (Quote) we need to get paid ,for what? false information They told me the Roters were bad because it had rust and that was causing the noise which was absolute (BS) because Roters get rust, And They were (new), I asked if the if it was the bearing but the said (No)??? And Midas is supposed to be Experts?????( Dont go to Midas) in Ogden because thier not honest But I (Absolutely) Recommend Les Schwab They figured out my car problem we took it for a drive and they Examined and Explained it to me what the problem was (without charging me anything for the )It I had a bad hub Not Roters And They fixed it for about $500 dollars We because I needed an Alignment too It was well worth every penny The car runs great now like brand new I'm very happy and satified, (Honesty....) and Friendly service is the key with me and they had both read more

I had amazing service at this Tire center. I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to do so because of my experience! I was in Ogden for a seminar. My rental car showed low tire pressure and I wanted to have it checked out before leaving for California. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the professionalism of the woman taking my phone call. I pulled up into the parking lot and must have looked a bit lost because a young man came out and asked me if I needed help. Once checked in they took my car right away and then the mechanic approached me, asking me questions and explaining to me what he did and what he thinks was wrong with the tire. When I was ready to leave and pay, the mechanic said there would be no charge?! He explained that he hadn't really 'fixed' anything and therefor wouldn't charge me. Yes but you took off the tire and inspected it and filled it up with air?! He insisted on me not paying anything. Not only were they nice, fast & professional, they didn't charge me. I had a slow leak in my rear tire. I took it by Sam's Club and they told me it was unrepairable. I took it by this Les Schwab. Friendliest staff! Smiling despite the snow falling down they were cheerful and quick to help. They repaired the "unrepairable" leak that Sam's wouldn't touch. And they did it for free -- even though I didn't buy my tires from Les Schwab. Very, very impressed. read more

But as I was sitting there for over 2 hours I notice the men coming in with no appointmente we're leaving before me . Mind you it was me and another customer in there . i asked where was I on the list and RANDY had told me that I had a long way to go . If I wanted to leave I could . Which was irritating after I waited that long . he also told another customer that if he didn't want to wait that he could find some where else down the road . I'm a 26 year old woman who doesn't know a ton about cars and it's so easy for car or tire places to make you feel dumb or take advantage but at Les Schwab, everyone is ALWAYS kind, polite, and helpful. I had A flat tire at my home and Steve came out to put on my spare so I could drive in and get a new tire. I asked him to show me how to do it so I could do it myself in the future and he was patient with my questions and very kind and it helped a lot. I'm new to Utah so he even let me follow him back to Les Schwab. I ended up not having my debit card in my wallet and the lovely blonde receptionist drove me home so I could go get it and she was wonderful as well. 10-31-16 Went to Les Schwab again because it is on the way to my wifes work and I have experience with the Les Schwab Tire Center in Southeast Alaska where we used to live. This is the second time I have went to Les Schwab here in Ogden on 12th st. They say they will fix your flat for free, but what they don't say is if they are busy or if it may require a little work the won't or can't do it ! Today I took a tire down to them off of my wifes GMC Envoy and there tire guy says oh we can't fix that because I can tell that the spike you ran over is into the sidewall. I said you don't know that without taking it apart and he disagreed with me and after he said no he wouldn't fix it I said man I will take it to a real shop and they will fix my tire. I took the tire down to Danny's Tire Shop down off of Washington blvd and around 2nd st. where I should have went to begin with and they promptly fixed the tire and sent me on my way. I wouldn't have mentioned this but with Les Schwab it is always buy a new tire they can't fix it. That is twice now they have failed to repair a flat and worth mentioning if you are looking for tire work done I just don't have any faith in their repair ability and wouldn't recommend them. read more

Needed to get the innertube on my riding mower repaired. I was originally thinking of replacing it foam in the tire. Worked with Brandon, the assistant manager, who explained why it has an inner tube (apparently most or many don't). He replaced the inner tube without charge and then presented me with the option of having the foam which at this point wasn't even necessary seeing as he fixed my original problem. I would definitely return to them for future tire needs and definitely recommend them to everyone. read more

Plus I was insulted by the blonde desk girl who insinuated I lied about the price I paid for the same repair In Layton. I got a copy of the invoice and they still tried to tell me that I wasn't asking for the same job to be done. They turned me away and I went back to Layton ... We were travelling through Ogden, Utah when we experienced a flat tire. Took it to Les Schwab's for repair and were told it would be about 1 1/2 hours to look at it. That was good news as another company that we called said they couldn't tell us how long it would be, but there were eleven people ahead of us at 8 am. The woman that took our information asked if we'd had breakfast yet and recommended we try No Frills Diner which was just down the street. We hadn't even received our orders when they called to say it was ready! Had a great breakfast (that's another story) and returned to find that not only had they repaired the tire in record time, but there was no charge for the service!! Wouldn't accept a tip, a donation to an employee fund, nothing. Incredible. All the employees that we came into contact with were very friendly and just hustling about their business. What a great place! I don't know if all Les Schwab locations are like this, but I highly recommend this one. read more
