I stopped in to another large chain tire store in Tooele with a slow leak and was told it couldn't be repaired and I would need a new tire and by the way I needed all four new tires. I probably would have fallen for it except this was the second time I was told this with just a low tire but last time I did buy the tires. I thought it fishy so I went to Les Schwab . I was in and out with a full tired repair at no charge and not even a mention of it not being able to be repaired! Wade the store manager hangs on where other employees are forced to quit after 10 years. The company is a corporation of not about the employees or the come running service.. I just got a letter that because I was not buying and charging since last July, Wade closes my account for good... Not the same company that I had an account with in 1984. Everyone is gone since I knew 5 yrs ago and the corporation just doesn't care. LES SCHWAB dies after his bio book.. Company goes south. Do not listen to the television commercials.. Watch out for being scammed/upsold! Had them put new tires on the front and wanted them to change the brake pads. Before even seeing the car, they told me they couldn't do the brakes today (which seemed fishy since changing the pads should be a really quick and easy thing). But they said they'd do an inspection. Went to pick it up and they quoted me $476 to $622 to do just the rear brakes! Wanted to set an appointment so they could order new rotors and install all new calipers. Went home, watched how to do it on youtube and changed both sets of brake pads myself for about $120; worked perfectly--didn't need new calipers or rotors at all. Not happy with this place at all. Stopped in and dropped off the wife's truck, the issue was at about 40-50 mph the steering wheel was shaking. I asked if they would take a look at balancing the wheels. Then asked for help to find tires for my truck. Dude comes out runs my size needed in his computer and says they are on back order, but before this is having a side conversation with another employee, so I waited for them to stop giggling about whatever it was and finally had to ask if they have anything available. Instead of helping find other options, I even said I could go with another style/size, he just said they are on back order sorry. After looking at my wife's truck, nothing found all is good. So we drive away, steering wheel still shaking, and have it fixed in 20 min at a place down the road. Oh, also spent my $1600.00 for the tires on my truck down the road too. Will definitely not be back. It's all about customer service and many people just don't understand that. Especially in a small town. read more

They were able to fix my flat tire very quickly. I was in and out in a flash, which I appreciated with my kids. I have never had a problem. I am a first time Subaru owner and this is the first time my Legacy has needed tires. I went to another tire shop who told me it needed all four new tires. I didn't understand why and was told it was due to the all wheel drive. Still didn't make sense to me when he said two tires were still good. I had only planned to pay for two so the price shocked me. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Les Schwab. Jake was so good to me and took the time to explain to me more about the all wheel drive and even went through the owners manual to talk about the why. It made total sense at that point. Four tires were still more than I had planned but Jake found a great price for me and is even giving a credit for the two good tires. Call for service on our dump truck for front steer tire and couldn't get service til the next day! This is our business. Called Salt lake Les Swabs and they were there in an hr. Took a truck there another time and had to pick it up the next day because they didn't get around to fixing it. This is still our business truck. This happened three or four times. Will never go back to them again poor service. read more

I drove more than an hour to have tire pressure sensors replaced. Was told they had them in stock. I waited 2 hours for them to tell me they did not have in stock. Mechanic told me they would order them an put them on a work order for me. I call 2 weeks later to find the sensors were not ever ordered. If you value your time and a business that does what they say the will do, do not bother with this one. read more

I'm extremely pleased at there honesty and commitment. I went in to have a tire with a screw on the sidewall of my van fixed. Instead of just fixing it with a patch they warrantied my tire and gave me a brand new one. I've always been satisfied with their services and I'm grateful I can get that kind of help. We were 10 miles out of town and blew a tire. They were going to close in 5 minutes and we asked if they could please stay open for a couple minutes so we could grab a new tire tire for our long drive home, seeing as we don't trust our spare for the trip we had ahead of us. The response we got was "sorry! We close the doors at 6." Just crazy to me that they wouldn't stay open an extra 10 minutes to help us out. read more

New to the area and my car started to make rubbing noises from the rear so my husband called this place and they said they would take a look at it so we took my car in. They drove it around, claimed they looked at the rear breaks and said nothing was wrong. They said that my break pads had at least 1/2 a life left in them. "If the sound gets worse, just bring it back" No! My car shouldn't make this noise in the first place. Went home and my husband called Auto Tech and they told us to bring it in. The gentleman that greeted us, (the partial owner) was very helpful. Long story short, my break pads and rotor was rubbing on metal because I had no break pads! I would not recommend this place! The valve/stem on one of my tires was damaged and I didn't find out until I tried to top them off at a gas station after work and it wouldn't take any air. I got to Les Schwab literally one minute before they closed and they were still able to help me and they didn't even charge me to replace the stem. The staff was very professional and friendly, and they fixed the problem even though everyone was obviously ready to go home for the day. I don't know what some of these bad reviews are about on here but I'll definitely be coming back in the future. read more

Showed up to have some break service done during the day on Monday. It wasn't terribly busy, and I was told it would be "a few minutes" before they could look at it cause there were 2 ahead of me. I wanted for 2 hours before they even touched my car, and I didn't really pay attention specifically but I think that 2 cars that came after me were pulled in almost an hour before me. Right when I was standing up to go get my keys and go somewhere else someone walked out and grabbed my car. After the car got in the shop the wait was just as bad. About 25 minutes later they came and told me the price. It seemed pretty high, but already having invested so much of my day into it I went for it (just replacing the front breaks and calipers). I showed up just after 9 am and I'm still sitting here as I'm typing, it's now 1:00!!!. If they at least would have told me there was a big wait, I would have not gone here, or arranged a time to leave it. There guys are soooo slow, I will not come back here again. read more

What wonderful service and people. Every time I have been in the store, I have been greeted and treated by friendly professional people and the service has been stellar. Recently, after store hours, my daughter and I left her car in their parking lot to have snow tires changed out for regular road tires. During the hectic events of a normal next day, we neglected to telephone Les Schwab and explain our intentions. That night when we realized our mistake, we called and found that the car was finished, and they even noticed the bumper was sagging and made efforts to repair it. We were so grateful for the proactivity and superior work ethic of this business and are glad to have them here in Tooele. read more

We have done lots of business with Les Schwab. But I think it will be the last. We live in Lake Point so I called the Les Schwab store in Tooele to see if I could get some tires mounted on my motor home. I talked to a lady and told her I had the tires. And they were 22.5 truck tires. So she ask were did you get the tires. I told her that I got the tires from a retailer that had went out of business a year ago. I picked them up at action price because they were the same that I had on the Motor Home She said no we do not mount other peoples tires we are in business to sale tires. read more

UNSAFE and very unprofessional! What, no option for ZERO stars?! Cliff notes: Stay away if you take pride in your ride, and if you care about your time! Where to start. First, I made an appointment, which they kept. Yay! Things went downhill...quickly...from there. Took them an hour and 45 minutes (from the time they pulled the car into the bay) to change over from my summer to winter tires. Basically, pull off the wheels, un-mount the snows, re-mount/balance the summers, then reinstall. Took. Forever. Mind you, another tire shop in Salt Lake that I frequent takes ~30 minutes to do this job, tops. So that's bad, but not unforgivable. No, the unforgivable is what happened next. When I got home I noticed that they had somehow managed to fit my rear tires (255s) onto the front wheels (18x8s), and the front tires (225s) onto the rear wheels (18x9s). Then they mounted the wide ones on front and the skinny ones on the back for some reason. The car, by the way, is a '14 Cadillac ATS, and yes, this is the OEM setup. To top it off, they inflated them to, and I'm not kidding here, 31 PSI driver front, 38 passenger front, 37 driver rear, 30 passenger rear. Wow. Just wow. Not very safe, and I was not very happy! When confronted, the manager made excuses about how they don't see staggered setups very often (side note: I made special mention of the staggered setup when I dropped the car off, for what that's worth), and that he didn't personally do the work, so he isn't responsible, and how he's sorry, but mistakes happen. His whole attitude was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind folks who make mistakes. No problem with that. We're all fallible. But for hell's sake, OWN UP TO IT, you immature little twit! Don't dodge responsibility and pawn it off on your subordinates! If you're their manager, IT"S STILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that they are trained to do their job! And for goodness' sake, when you (aaah, or your employees) screw up that badly and potentially endanger a customer's safety, at least offer a refund or something. Don't just stand there playing dumb and avoiding responsibility! To top it all off, when I got the car back home (the 2nd time), I noticed that they'd put several scratches on my wheels in their haste to correct their first round of screwing up. Not too broken up about that since they're the OEM wheels and I'll eventually replace them, but still, very sloppy work. Stay away if you take pride in your ride! read more

I was sent to this particular Les Schwab Tire Center by a friend. I had a flat and they fixed it for free even though I had gotten the original tire from Big O. Their waiting room was great and their staff got my car in and out as if they worked for Na scar! When we wanted to buy rims for my Jetta I remembered them and went back. They had a great selection and a computer to show the end result which was neat. We had the rims and tires ordered and on the day of installation they realized that the had the rims but failed to order the tires! They were very apologetic and offered to put other tires on that were cheaper and give us a refund on the difference. We opted not to take that route and just to wait. The manager actually made a run to Salt Lake just for us and picked up the tires at a higher cost (he fronted the difference) and had the rims and tires installed the very next day! I think he handled his staffs mess up admirably and give this place a :) thanks Les Schwab for taking care of us! read more

I am amazed at the service I have had at this center. I have now been there on 3 separate occasions and never been charged anything. The first 2 times they advised I required a new tire and as it was a rental it was off loaded to the airport that night. Tonight, I was greeted by Noah in the parking lot with a big smile. What a great kid. He took the vehicle, repaired the puncture and replaced the tire on the vehicle. When I tried to settle the bill Noah told me it was free. Ok, but? I said 'look here's a gratuity' and he wouldn't accept it. Mr Schwab, congratulations you have an amazing business, great staff and I hope you take care of Noah, he's a real gem. Thanks guys. I have always had wonderful customer service from Les Schwab. We have been loyal customers for 30+ years because of how we have always been treated and because of the best tire warranty we have ever found. While visiting my mom from out of state, I found a nail in my tire. I went to Les Schwab in Tooele to get it fixed. Despite the entire staff being wet from neck to toe from handling snowy tires, they were all happy and friendly. Within 25 minutes from arriving, we were on our way.
