They were very careful and gentle, making sure I'm comfortable by communicating what was going on, guiding me through my visit, and would make sure I'm alright by checking in on me and asking if there is any discomfort. Very gentle and caring dentists. I appreciate the amount of communication, I've been to countless dentists that hardly say a word, and just take over and leave. That can be very stressful for some people who are uncomfortable going to dentists. But my experience here was so different from my previous dentist's, it was not like that at all. Probably one of my favorite dentists. I greatly recommend if you are looking for a new dentist to visit.

I was terrified when I stepped into Dr. Knotek's office, but the staff were VERY friendly and made me feel so comfortable. They explained everything to me, no surprises whatsoever. Betty was the dental hygienist that cleaned part of my teeth, followed by Meagan and they are both gentle and friendly. They both assured me that they will make the cleaning as painless as possible, and they absolutely did. Dr. Knotek checked my teeth at the end and the beginning and gave advice and answered all my questions. She really cares about her patients and I appreciate that. Kerry at the front desk is awesome and I enjoyed my experience at this dental office. Sadly I'll be moving out of IN soon, and I wish I discovered this place sooner, but I will most definitely stop by whenever I'm in IN! Got the new root canal for the tooth to fall out a couple years later because Creative Smiles didn't place the post after my second root canal. Obviously someone didn't know what they were doing and the dentist that did my root canal at Creative Smiles was a working on an expired work visa at that. Don't be fooled.

The dentist did not greet me just immediately started working in my mouth he drilled out one cavity in my mouth and asked me if I was numb on the bottom by touching my tongue. I told him no I wasn't he then got epinephrine and started trying to numb the area more. I immediately began to feel weird (high heart rate near syncope. I did previously explain to him I have POTS) and told him this he continued to administer it even when I told him to stop several times. Once he was finished he set his tools down rather loudly and left the room. He did not apologize or try to explain anything to me. The dental assistant was very kind and did so and helped me calm down after having a bad reaction to the epinephrine. He came back shortly and again no apology or explanation he did not talk to me and started to work again. I winced when he began drilling and he asked if I could feel that which I replied yes once again he set his tools down and said "we will reschedule". I pushed for further explanation and he just said because you're not numbed and mumbled under his breathe without even looking at me or explaining anything and left the room. The dental assistant and receptionist were very apologetic almost like he is often rude. I have NEVER left a dentist office crying I can't even explain to you how hostile the environment felt. Just please do not trust the care of your teeth or well being for that matter at this establishment.

It had been a while since I got my teeth cleaned and they did a really good job of that and also found a couple of cavities. I went back for follow-up appointments on the cavities and they were able to get them filled. I have had no trouble with the fillings and the whole process was fairly painless. I always go by myself so they have to do the numbing with shots as nobody goes with me to drive me. So that part is a little painful but they do a topical numbing before they do the shots and it makes it much better. If you are looking for a dentist in the Greenfield area I recommend both Doctor Brian and Doctor Trent as both of them have worked on my teeth.

About two weeks later ( as I was preparing for a trip out of country ) both became abscessed! I found a wonderful endodontist in Indianapolis that did root canals on both teeth. I was very disappointed that Dr. Kirkwood filled two teeth that should have been evaluated for root canal treatment beforehand. He also had a technician finish the filling, something I had never experienced before. She took over after he did the drilling. I went to this practice based on the many positive recommendations on his father, who I don't think practices anymore. The office staff are pleasant as was Dr Trent, but my experience cost me out of pocket and didn't fix the problems. Would never recommend and certainly will not go back!! Leah E.

Charged me and I didn't even go to his office!…read more Four years ago, I set an appointment with Dr. Cowan to have my wisdom teeth removed. Before I even saw the doctor, I realized he was not in my insurance network, so I canceled our first appointment. His office charged me $61 for a first appointment with the doctor, even though I never even saw him. Despite multiple attempts to discuss this with Dr. Cowan's office, nobody was willing to discuss this with me and I was never allowed to speak personally with Dr. Cowan (thinking surely, he would know that he never saw me.) Eventually, the charge went to collection, as I was not going to pay for an appointment that never happened. Once it went to collection, the doctor's office refused to even discuss the charge with me, as it was with collections and out of their hands. The collection agency also refused to discuss the charge with me, stating that the doctor's office would have to withdraw the claim...except the doctor's office kept saying that only the collections agency could withdraw the claim. Talk about a Catch-22! 4 years on the collection is still on my otherwise sterling credit report, and the doctor still refuses to discuss it with me.
