My mother had to wait another hour and a half in the exam room, but he never returned. During our wait, we observed many patients entering and leaving his other exam rooms, while we did not receive any attention. Ultimately, we decided to leave at 5:30 PM without any explanation from Dr. Ostriker or his staff. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by both Dr. Ostriker and his team. If he is too busy, he should inform patients and offer to reschedule instead of making them wait unnecessarily. It is especially concerning given that my mother is an elderly person who requires considerate and timely care.

I went back to PV twice and they suggested returning to Modern Focus as the lenses matched the script. The Dr at MF said my vision changed and gave me less of a correction. I feel her 11/25 script was inaccurate but she said no and charge me $60 for the new one because I didn't buy glasses there. What a rip off! PV is making my new lenses for free. Now that's good customer service. Oh, and I was the doctor's first appt of the day and she arrived 15 minutes late to work. Like my time isn't worth anything? Needless to say, I canceled my next exam. I went to Dr Gould for years and always received excellent care and customer service. MF could use a little training on both areas.

Then, when I asked if they accept my insurance it was impossible to get a straightforward answer it was clear she had no clue what she was saying. Later, I called their other location to doublecheck and got completely different answers. It was also an ordeal. Again, the person I spoke with was rude and abrupt. They are so vague about insurances they accept, or about the final cost you can expect to pay. Then they e-mail forms to sign requiring you to pay upfront for things that are routinely covered by insurance. Everything there is so chaotic and disorganized. And don't even dare ask another question because you will be snapped at. I can only imagine when one gets a bill from them. Most likely you will be overcharged and nobody in their office will cooperate with you to resolve any billing issues.....or even understand what you are calling about. I have been a patient of Dr. Manion since she took over from her predecessor, over 22 years ago. It…read moremust be difficult to gage how much time to allot for each patient and I note there are a couple of comments regarding her ability to keep to a certain time slot. Yesterday, I saw her for my annual check up. Her pervious patient was a child being fitted for contact lenses which must have been difficult for the girl. As a result, Dr. Manion was naturally concerned that this young patient was made as comfortable as possible, and thus the start of my consultation was slightly delayed. During Covid19 Dr. Manion had a wild influx of New Yorkers fleeing the city, in need of consultations, and as such she and her team had their work cut out for them in order to see as many patients as possible in a day. Naturally this inconvenienced other 'regular' patients, but with a little kindness and thoughtfulness, Westport Eyecare patients were all accommodated. Dr. Manion's care and attention to detail quite possibly saved my eyesight and restored my vision. I cannot recommend her more highly! In my experience most doctors run late because they care for the patients they are tending, as do car mechanics and plumbers!

My exam was done basically in the hallway because there was no room. When Dr. Noecker came into the exam room, he said "You know how this goes, right?" Well, no I don't. I'm not an ophthalmologist and it was going to be my first surgery of any kind. He explained the procedure to me, but not the possible problems that may occur during or after the surgery. I read his reviews on other sites & saw a lot of "1 stars" with major complaints so I have decided to cancel my surgery and go with another ophthalmologist.

I had a broken shoulder surgically repaired last week, my dominant/writing hand. My arm is immobilized. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say 'he can fill it out with his right hand.' I walked around the corner and said, 'you've got to be kidding me, there's no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this?' The response was 'Their aid would fill it out.' I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, 'or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do.' I've had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.

My ophthalmologist of many years fell ill and retired. I had an awful experience with another…read moreophthalmologist who ran an assembly line operation inefficiently. Worse I had no confidence in his prescription because his refractor had smudged lenses. So after checking her reviews I decided to update my contact lenses and have Dr Gross double check the other's work. She fitted me with the latest and greatest daily wear contacts very professionally and without a hitch. That night, with my Parkinson's Disease reducing my fine motor control, I couldn't remove the lenses. The next morning,​ I reached out to Dr Gross and she made arrangements to meet me at a local YMCA convenient to my job and removed the contract lenses. She was gracious, without a word of complaint.
