The lady at the front desk greeted me by saying my insurance is not active. After realizing her mistake she said I needed to pay a $40 co-pay, which I did not have to pay. She said if I did not pay it now they would add a fee to the $40 when they bill me. The office manager was not much better, asking me to sign a form that a service that was covered, I still needed to sign that I would be responsible for it. Did nt make any sense at all - then she said I was good. Wow, I almost walked out due to their rudeness and miss reputation However, Erica made up for the unprofessional treatment the front desk showed me. And Dr Hardik Patel was kind and thorough durning his exam and treatment. I am sure that management has no idea how unprofessional the front desk staff is. Maybe they should send in a "Ghost" patient so they can see for themselves.

Went to Dr. Voldman when I was experiencing daily migraines to get my glasses updated. HORRIBLE…read moreEXPERIENCE. First, he wrote me a wrong prescription - yes, wrong. I could not read with my new glasses. That'll be good with migraines. It took them weeks to believe that I could not read with the new glasses, then another 2 weeks to redo my glasses. I knew when I put them on and told them I could not read. Second, I asked him about eye pain that I was experiencing. He said it was dry eyes and to use over-the-counter eye drops. No further instructions, no personal attention. His assistant did all the work, he spent 1 minute reviewing her evaluation. A year later, I went to another eye doctor and was told to use 3 types of eye drops 5-6 times per day.

It's was placed under Eye Physicians & Surgeons in general?? I'm a rather difficult patient... ask my significant other he is a Dentist! When it comes to anything eye related . I can't even touch my own eyes! People with such phobias typically need to seek out Doctors with incredible skill, a calming manor and a great deal of patience-or we would never get through an eye exam. Dr. Silverstone is exactly that kind of Doctor! Mine for many years. He is also the "go to" Doc for many medical professionals in our community. I can now say with total impunity I do not equate eye surgery with being set on fire. That's Trust! In addition, he happens to have a superb assisting staff (patient care). My experience was with his assistant C.J- was wonderful she is the gold standard! Note: You will need to to keep a tight follow on your prescriptions, and be very clear and firm with front desk as to what you need and when you need it- it's a busy practice so it's understandable, and I'm happy to overlook this, for such a terrific Doctor like Philip Silverstone. I'm 38 years old never heard of it. It's a year later now and the problem has come back but my grandmother is in the middle of a terrible UTI and is no shape to stand never mind go to the Dr, I told him that I just needed him to write out a prescription of the same eye drops he gave her last time which helped so I can use them to help her until the antibiotics do there job and she back on her feet and I get her right down their. Her eye is so bad and she's is so uncomfortable with it. But he said no. That's not possible and the best appointment I have is September 8th which is 2 weeks from now. I'm floored!! What a POS!!

Young man was very insensitive to our situation. AND RUDE. Two weeks in a row we had 2:15 appointments. At 3:30 we hadn't seen the doctor yet! After the check in the young man was given my wife's file. He presided down the hall and was doing something on a computer. While cit catting with co workers. After that he went in to one of the rooms to talk to another co worker. 25 minutes after her initial appointment he proceeded to call her. I explained that my wife had a 4:00pm appointment else where, and could we be seen in the next hour and a half. His answer was = We don't work by time, we go by patients. And there are 8 in front of you. if each patient took 15 minutes which they take much more than that. That's 2 hours ! That is not expectable. Many of the other patients were complaining also, how many left? They thing they have the only show in town. Many of business that have thought that way are not in business anymore ! Who ever runs that office better wake up and watch what's going on.

I wish I could give 1 million stars! I have been contending with bouts of inflammatory keratitis…read moresince 2019 and have been under Dr. Cervantes' care since the start. I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough!

Dr. Seymour is wonderful! I had an emergency and called the nearest ophthalmologist office near…read moretears. The assistant who answered the call was successful in squeezing me in to see Dr. Seymour. She was so kind, and was able to locate what turned out to be a piece of metal in my eye and remove it without me feeling a thing and made sure I had antibiotic drops and lubricant at my disposal. It's been a full day now, and though it's not totally back to normal, my eye is safe. When the time comes for me to have my next exam, I'll be visiting Dr.Seymour.

I came to you with high expectations because of all the recommendations I received from former patients. I must admit they were right it was a pleasurable surgery experience from all aspects. From the reception to all the wonderful staff interactions and of course you. I never felt uncomfortable anytime during both of my cataract surgeries and for that fact I thank you and would recommend you to everyone who needs any eye surgery.

I called to discuss their error and was told I was billed for TWO office visits for my ONE appointment! So while my 'annual physical' appt was covered 100% under preventative, I was on the line for the 2nd office visit of $250. When we went into the nitty gritty of why I was charged for a 2nd visit, it was from a question the doc asked ME, which I responded with 'it's fine'. It wasn't even a conversation lasting more then 5 SECONDS. After FOUR attempts at calling them to resolve my issue, which nobody ever called me back, I gave up and now go elsewhere.
