The only reason I moved out was because I bought a condo from a family member. I was actually very sad to leave, but I would recommend KW to anyone and everyone!

The walls are almost seemingly, paper thin, giving almost no privacy, the neighbors complain and phone the police for the smallest things, the signs are not at all lit in anyway so if your trying to find the complex and you've never been there, good luck. The heat and air go out very easily, the layout is not at all kid friendly and not fit for families, you have to drive to the mailbox just to check it, the internet is constantly, going out and you have to have Charter or it's nothing because other companies are not allowed. It's also, overpriced, coming in at over $1410.00 for a 2 bedroom apartment which is a little steep even for Ballwin in my opinion. The only good thing about Madison Rockwood is the staff whom are attentive and try to work you the best they can. DO NOT LIVE HERE We…read morelived in this apartment complex and encountered black mold in one unit and a brown recluse infestation in another -- both of which are serious health hazards. We are both very clean people, and these issues were absolutely not due to tenant negligence. After reporting the mold in our first unit, we were moved to a second -- only to discover brown recluse spiders there. Management failed to address either issue adequately. We personally had the mold tested, and it was confirmed to be Stachybotrys, a toxic black mold known to cause severe respiratory problems and allergic reactions. Brown recluse spiders are venomous and potentially life-threatening. All of the spider traps were put out by me, not management. The final straw was when I found a live brown recluse in our bed -- even though the bed was pulled away from the wall and the entire room was lined with traps. I also paid out of pocket to have a professional spray the interior of our unit, since their pest control provider only sprayed near the front door. This complex is unsafe, poorly managed, and simply not worth the risk. As a tenant, you have virtually no rights in Missouri, making it even harder to get protection or recourse when serious health hazards are ignored. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I've included a photo of a list of additional issues we experienced -- all submitted to management, and none were addressed. To make matters worse, we were forced to pay to break our lease, as they refused to let us out without a penalty -- despite these major safety issues. Stay far away from this complex.

The clubhouse, tennis courts, patio/pool, and workout room are GREAT; such a fun place to go on the weekends or after work with our two boys. Lived here for four years. First year, AC compressor went out and they had it replaced in 4 hours…read more Last night, I went online and requested help for a broken sliding glass door blind. Shawn Wade, one of the maintenance crew, came and fixed it while I was at work, and even left a card letting me know he finished. Just awesome. I've had low-priority issues that took much longer, but I would expect that. For example, I had a problem with our flooring, and they had to get an outside resource to help, so I'm guessing they wait long enough to have several to fix before they bring the outside company in. I waited about 60 days, which I was fine with. When the contractor came, it was good as new. 100% of our requests have been fixed in an appropriate amount of time, and our apartment is great.

I have been living here for almost a year or two and had minor issues until we were supposed to move from our small apt to a bigger one managed by the same company: Baxter Crossings. We were originally given 1-2 months notice to prepare for the move, but the timeline was reduced to two weeks and has been pushed back another time. I have already used my PTO hours TWICE and changed my address to accommodate the scheduled move dates, only for it to be postponed. My brother from out of state come over to help with the move, only for it to be pushed back. Every pushback given was last minute, a day BEFORE the move. Is this what professionalism is like to you? Previous tenants apparently were given an extension, but Baxter Crossing DID NOT communicate this to us, leaving us to face delayed extensions from outdated information. Furthermore, my parents waited for a scheduled 10:30 meeting for an entire hour, only to be told to come back at 3PM. Under Julie Sanders' and the rest of the management team: Unprofessionalism, organization, AND communication have been the biggest problems. If you are considering renting here, DON'T.

The leasing manager, Joseph, is absolutely knowledgeable, helpful, kind, patient, and responsive to all questions. The maintenance staff are responsible and reliable hard workers. If you need some thing done, you put in a work order. When they have completed the work you get an email documenting the completion. They are extremely well organized and well managed, and I am thrilled and lucky to be a part of this community.
