Chatsworth store posts that it opens at 10 am. At 10:15 employee arrived and took over 5 minutes to even open the door. Was rude and unhelpful. Seemed to have no knowledge of what he was doing and did not seem to care. We walked out without any advice or buying anything. Will not return to this store. read more

No one really walks in here unless there's a need for the pool. I started coming here around the New Year of 2018. We let go of our pool guy and the lessons in maintaining a pool started. First thing I needed to do was replace the pump. Made a call to this store and in about 15 minutes, I learned so much about pumps that I was able to make a quick & confident decision. Our old pump ate up energy, was loud and was impossible to adjust the timers without a separate circuit board. Enter Leslie's new pump. Uses much lower energy, quieter and best of all, everything can be controlled by an app on my phone. They were running a promo that included free installation and hauling our old pump away. Everything was set up by the store manager Bryan, a young guy with vast pool knowledge. Luis, who was the installer sent by the store, was punctual and knew his stuff when we came across some wiring issues. Solved it in 5 minutes. The entire experience was impressive and painless. Though in the beginning, there was some confusion about returning calls, it quickly worked itself out. Got a pool? Need stuff? Come here. Besides pumps, they also carry every chemical needed to maintain your pool. Plus, they have floaties and vests for the kids. They also offer a free analysis of your pool water chemical balance. Walked in on a Sunday just needing a few gallons of liquid chlorine. I believe most stores don't carry it but I needed to check. The store had about 12 people in it, and I immediately got in line. I eyeballed the store while waiting, and didn't see any on the floor. I was second in line. There were only two employees - one was walking around the entire store with a customer, and the other one was behind the register testing water with two customers. The employees NEVER acknowledged the waiting customers, and after about 5-7 minutes I saw a customer behind me leave. I waited a few more minutes and then I finally did the same. If testing water is going to be a 15-20 minute ordeal, it needs to be scheduled. At the least, the employee could've explained how much longer it would take and possibly help those that had quick transactions. I went to the nearest Home Depot, got my liquid chlorine, and I was in and out in half the time it took for me to get NO SERVICE at Leslie's. With big box stores and Amazon you'd think these B&M Leslie's would go out of their way to provide good communication/customer service. Not the case here, and I won't be going back. UPDATE 7/21/21: I was immediately contacted by "customer service" and was told the district manager wanted to talk to me. Fine. I thought it could be a teachable moment, so I called AND sent an email. Zero response, just like when I was waiting in line. Now I know why that store and others have the rep they do - it comes from the top down. read more

I've been coming here since the pandemic began and through all of the different employees they've gone through I've never had bad service. Bought and installed over $4,000 pool heater, filter, and pump. They installed wrong pump. They asked me more money cuz they installed more expensive model. I told them no. They came and changed it but did unacceptable job. They left all the pipe that was built for bigger pump. They just switched out to smaller pump, making it dangling in the air cuz they were too lazy to cut the pipe. WHAT??? For the purchase, I got store credit. So I decided to buy a fan from their website. It was listed $217, marked down to $179. Which by the way is only $150 on Amazon. Ordered it on 7/10, deliver by 7/15-18. Today, 7/23 I checked the status and it said "processing" so I called. They said they are out of stock and they would send it early to mid September. Until I reached out I heard nothing from them about it shipment delay. WHAT!!! They apologized for not having it indicated as "out of stock". One would think they would've done something about it once they found out the error. Nope. I checked their website. Website said "order today, to your door by 7/30. Enuff said. Employees were both very short with their answers. I came in looking for a part for my above ground pool, and every question I asked seemed to just bother them. I felt like they could have helped me a little more, even if they did not have what I was looking for. Instead of just, "no we dont have it" maybe they could have pointed me in a different direction that could help with what I needed. Anyway that was my experience. read more

Came in today to buy multiple items for my pool including brushes, nets and a thermometer. When I stopped by, the employee was talking with two gentlemen about what Arcadia used to be like. I Was there more than 5 minutes before the employee acknowledged me, and that was only because I was right near the cash register. At no point, did he ask if I needed assistance, and frankly with service like that, I opted to take my business elsewhere. Left without purchasing anything. As I exited the business, I saw a notification of overcharge posted which was further incentive to shop somewhere else. read more

Absolutely the worst service I have ever encountered. Appointments were missed, response was that the parts ordered were the wrong parts. Several diagnosis and attempts to repair. This process has taken several months and my repairs are still not completed. Customer service isn't any help. They take for ever to answer your call. Dispatch doesn't update you on the status of your repair. Again very unprofessional. I am very unhappy with the process. read more

The store may not always have the best product or prices, but he will unfailingly give me the information I need to make an informed decision. Had problem Finding filter part. Kavon and Robert who was delivering parts from Sylmar helped me extensively, even at closing time. They called another store to validate the part but no way to confirm visually so they actually face timed to see the part. I went to the other store the following day and via great service there as well, got the part to complete my repairs. Sitting in the pool writing this review on my iPhone right now. Lol If corporate is really reading reviews, take note that your company would stand not to lose business if you just established web cams to facilitate employees confirming parts for customers to avoid them going online to order. Customers often bring in parts and without visual confirmation of inventory at other stores, will likely just call online stores to get visual confirmation and deal with the delay of shipping. Apparently my neighbors have shared their frustration and resorted to going online. Kavon and Robert are very cool and apparently very much enjoy their jobs and helping people. If I really want some good suggestions and help, I have to call the Arcadia location, instead of the location closest to me in Pasadena. Brian and Anthony are very knowledgeable. I wish they were closer to drive to but unfortunately not. However, just wanted to acknowledge both gentlemen for all their help over the years, via telephone. I'm a single mom and I'm my own "Pool Guy", because I have to save money. A lot of times, I have basic chlorine and filter cleaning questions that pop up for me and I need have accurate information. Let me tell you about Brian mainly but also his boss, My pool is 8 years old and I've had just about everything replaced on it with the great help from their service crew. but here is the latest i had replaced my old pump with a new variable speed one and it comes with a 3 year guaranty and two months after it expired the pump being a hayward pump gave out so went to Brian he checked it was expired and said i need a new one well that did not go well and I've been a customer for those 8 years and i could not afford at that time a new pump so he said let me see what i can do maybe lone me a used one until i could get one. So he talked to his boss and told him my story and his boss said what would you do and he said wi should take care of him his a great customer so they honored or bit the bullet and gave me the pump i just had to pay for the installation so i did and now my kids are enjoying the pool again thanks to people like Brian and his Boss. I have been going to this Leslie's Pools store for over a year and will not go anywhere else. Brian is one of the most knowledgeable, passionate, and honest people you will ever meet. Through pictures, texts, and constant dialogue he helped me fix my pool. The good thing is that the entire store doesn't fall on his shoulders because he has done an amazing job training Anthony and now Brendan. They listen, offer suggestions, and truly want to help. If you have a problem with your pool, just ask for their help. If they don't solve the issue the first time, they have a plan B, C, D, etc.. When Anthony or Brendan aren't sure about something, they'll call Brian on his cell to find out the best suggestion/answer. I really appreciate that they don't fake it or B.S. me. It also shows they are more interested in finding you the right answer, learning more, and representing the company well. Brian and Anthony have consistently given me exceptional client service. Because Brendan recently joined and has been attentive when they are not there, it shows me that this Leslie's Pools branch has the right culture. If you are thinking about buying products online, reconsider by going to this Leslie's Pools. When components break and need servicing, it can be a big hassle to get them fixed or have them replaced.
