Extremely disappointed in what transpired today at the Highland Village Leslie Pool supply. I came in after nearly 2 months to pickup my pool sweeper because I had not heard from the store. I called after 3 weeks and was told they were behind but they would try to get to it soon. Clay the manager was helping me today and was looking for my sweeper, I wasn't aware he was also the main repair guy. He basically said he didn't have my sweeper and after a month they can throw sweepers out if they are not claimed. Clay said "why would someone wait 2 months for a pool sweeper repair? "like I was lying to him. He asked me for a ticket, I wasn't given a ticket at drop off. He said they would have called me after 2 weeks. Clay said "how do I know if you even dropped off a pool sweeper off at this store? " Clay said we don't have a 360. I told Clay my son in law was with me when I dropped it off because he acted like he needed proof so I called my son n law to verify on speaker phone. I asked my son in law when did we drop off the pool sweeper and he said forever ago, around 2 months. Clay then said "we don't have your sweeper". Clay claims he matches energy from customers so if a customer is angry Clay can be a jerk and treat a customer as if they are lying or full of crap if he or the store makes a mistake. Clay didn't come out and call me liar but everything he said with his body language, and what was coming of his mouth was that he did not believe I dropped off my pool sweeper at his store, he didn't seem to care if they mistakenly threw out my expensive pool sweeper. On the bottom shelf I noticed there was a trash bag with a pool sweeper hose sticking out, larger hose for a Polaris 360, so I asked if that was my sweeper in the bag and sure enough, it was my sweeper. The miracle sweeper that was never dropped off, with the ticket still attached to the drop of card, more convenient no drop off date, no apology for assuming I was wrong or acting like I was lying to him. I left my sweeper and went home. When I got home I had to call the store because at the time I was a bit upset for how I was treated and needed to calm down but I wanted to see why a manager would treat a customer like this and be okay with it. Clay hung up on me right off the bat, so I called back I thought the call got dropped, he said do you want to start again without cussing at me. I don't know what cuss word I used but him hanging up tells the whole story, that he does not give two craps, he can do no wrong and he doesn't believe in apologizing for his own mistakes. Clay tried to explain of course without any apology that my sweeper had been placed in the finished section so that's why he had not looked at it and he recently had another sweeper in a similar trash bag and he thought it was the same sweeper. Again zero apologies. When I asked him why he felt it was okay to treat a customer the way he did, his reply was he matches the energy of his customer. Of course a customer is going to be pissed if you lost their expensive sweeper, threw it out and you don't even care that it happened! Compassion is what needed to happen, let the customer know you look into it and have a good plan when you get back with the customer and if it fact you did loose or throw out their sweeper by mistake make it right. NOT treat the customer like they are lying to you and call them out on it by asking questions about why a customer would leave a sweeper at a store for 2 months! I asked do you have anything to say to me, he said in an extremely condescending voice "Im sorry I didn't fix your sweeper. " I said is that all you have to say? Again condescending voice, Clay replied yes! It's not the sweeper I give a damn about it is how a person treats another person, especially when someone is at fault, either personally or the company. My sweeper was put on the shelf, never touched, a call was never made to me and I was treated as a liar when I came to pick up my sweeper. read more

Called them for a service call on my pool. Verified phone/address and later got a text with the date/time. Day came, nobody showed up. I got a call from the tech saying he was sitting outside my gate (I don't have a gate). He was at the wrong house. I called him back and he said that it was too late, he had canceled the work order. I called the office and they "explained" that they couldn't/didn't have the authority up date the computer system with my correct address and that the tech didn't have the authority to modify his work schedule to accommodate when mistakes were made. Bottom line, waited around the whole day and nobody showed up. I'll be calling someone else in the morning. read more

Leslies pool supplies in Highland Village Texas has the best customer service hands down. The manager is the most knowledgeable and helpful, if for some odd reason he doesn't know the answer to your question (which is very seldom) he will dig deep and get you an answer or solution. The assistant mgr lady is also very knowledgeable and very friendly. The entire team is amazing and we are blessed to have them in our local Leslies Store. If you haven't tried this location, you're missing out on very knowledgable information for yourself and your pool!!! We are super impressed with the knowledge and courtesy of the young guys who work at the Leslie's at Highland Village. They are extremely professional and always have the answers. We have a saltwater pool, which we love love love. Anytime there are issues with the water being a bit hazy or not being completely clear, we take in a test tube of water, they test it, and always know exactly what we should do to correct the issue. I foolishly decided to repair my pool cleaner, Navigater brand, I was real brave to buy some parts for what I thought was an easy rebuild. Of course I screwed it up and thought I even broke a part that was not bad. Finally getting smarter I decided to take the mess of parts and the entire Navigater to Leslie in Highland Village. I told the nice lady that signed it in to do what they needed and please put it back together. Walking out thinking of what I broke I was hoping this would cost less than a new Navigator. Cal [ I hope I remembered his name] called the next day to say it was ready. I was shocked when I asked what do I owe you, he said nothing. I had the parts needed, he even fixed what I thought I broke, Cal said we only charge for parts not labor. I've been doing business with Leslie for the 20 years we have lived here, we even had them rebuild the same cleaner years ago and never realized what a great policy they had. Thank you Cal and Leslie Pool. Max is the man! We needed a pool/spa heater replaced since we moved in a year ago, and we've been delaying pulling the trigger. Having not had a pool previously, this was all new ground for us. I had a friend trying to get me to purchase through him, and then pay a company to install. That led me to call Leslie's. Max walked me through how that might not be the right approach, and offered to have me come in to talk other options. This quickly led us to exploring the Leslie's website for available deals, and we found a great one on a highly rated heater. Max called his manager and received permission to price match, and I finished up the transaction on the spot. It should have been a week or two to get the site visit and install done, but Max made some calls and we'll have it in before the weekend. Fantastic service!! read more

Great service alert! Had an issue with my pool pump and decided to go it alone. Taylor at Leslie's Pool Supply in Highland Village helped me along the way. I brought in my old motor for my pump, he tested it and showed me exactly what the problem was. Taylor was extremely knowledgeable and transparent when offering a solution that actually saved me money versus what I was originally going to pay. The in-house service of equipment is top notch and we will continue to use them as a resource for our pool needs and supplies. read more

After the big freeze, my debris pot had a crack. I call to see if I can order one and Clay says it's an 8-10 week back order from the distributor. But he says it's your lucky day. I just replaced a pump and the piece is on there. He said it was dirty but no cracks and he gave it to me. He didn't know me I was just the first to call after he had taken it in. I Needed to replace my filter's o-ring. I cut off a small piece of the old o-ring and took it with me. I didn't even know the brand of the filter. He asked me several questions and I showed him a photo I had snapped. I'm still amazed! Not only was he able to figure out what kind of filter I had, but he also located the part I needed. The level of customer service I received was above and beyond my expectations. I was so happy that I forgot the associate's name to give him a shout out. He's at least 6 ft. tall with dark blonde hair. I'd highly recommend this location. To the associate, thank-you for all your help and the amount of time you spent looking for a 'needle in a haystack'. Bravo! read more
