When we went to do the pottery painting, we were welcomed by Ciciley who showed us around and explained everything so well. We had a great time painting and the pieces came out so beautifully when I picked them up a week later. I had such a good experience that I decided to enroll in an adult art class and I have been going for one month now. I love it! The instructor is wonderful and the community of other students in the class are so encouraging! It's been a special time of the week for me when I get to spend a couple hours painting on Tuesday nights! I have 2 children I plan to enroll in the summer art camp and I'm exited for them to enjoy this art school like I do!

My child has attended Cordovan's winter camps (over the school holiday), spring break camps, and summer camps. When I pick up my child from each of them, they are always so proud of their artwork with great things to say about the class. I think the teachers make a huge impact on my child's art skills and confidence, but most of all, my child truly enjoys the time and asks for me to sign up for other camps.

Listen... if you're trying to impress on a first date without doing the tired dinner-and-drinks…read moreroutine, this is the move. I booked Potteryland Studio for a 3:30 PM session, and while it was a little busy, it actually worked in our favor. The energy in the room helped ease those first-date nerves--because let's be honest, silence on a first date is not your friend. The selection of pottery pieces? Solid. Plenty of variety without being overwhelming. We landed on the 2-piece butterfly set (which felt very "cute but intentional"), and I added the balloon add-on to bring some extra life to the table. That little detail? Whew. It did exactly what it needed to do. She was impressed, and points were definitely earned. Once we chose our pieces, there was a bit of a wait before someone came over to walk us through the process. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. When he did come over (his name escaped me--I was focused on not fumbling the date), he was helpful and explained the painting process clearly, including the "3 coats for true color after firing" tip. From there, it was smooth sailing. We picked our colors, got to painting, and just... talked. And that's where this place shines. It creates space for real conversation without it feeling forced. You're doing something with your hands, you're laughing at each other's designs--it's low pressure but still intentional. The staff checked on us regularly, which I appreciated. My only critique? The cooler. I didn't even notice it until we were wrapping up, and I was definitely ready for some water by then. If that's for guests, just say that upfront. Don't have me discovering hydration like it's a hidden side quest. Overall? This was a great experience. Creative, interactive, and just the right amount of different. The date went well, the vibe was right, and honestly... I'd do it again.

She loves school more than anything, to have your child beg to go to school, happy every morning is priceless. She grew to be a confident and kind girl and I am positive the school had an immense impact on this. I always felt heard, communication with leadership as well as teachers have been amazing. The performances always blow my mind and last years robotic show for first grade surpassed my expectations. Truly recommend.

Then, were so impressed with their handling of the pandemic in 2020 (we experienced no "covid learning loss"), it was an easy decision to stay on for the primary grades. And we have not been disappointed! We continue to have truly great teachers, that you can actually interact with every day at drop off and pickup and build relationships with them. I highly encourage anyone who is interested to schedule a tour or go to one of the open houses. Not only is it a charming environment, you will be amazed at how much more they manage to cover than just the basics. There is a focus on fine arts and performances, which are so great for confidence building. But they also get into robotics, go on cool field trips, and seem to have more fun events and activities than you might get in public school. The summer camp sessions are great, too! We'll be very sad to move on after 4th grade!

And she is an opinionated person who doesn't just automatically adore every school or camp or hobby she's done. Ms. Cynthia runs the place so smoothly. Always polite. Always patient. Pure professionalism and kindness with the kids. Kiddo loves Ms. Star so much that she has picked up some of her motivational quotes and mannerisms at home, haha. All of the instructors are amazing with the controlled chaos that art with a bunch of kids every day just inherently entails. They also treat our kid with respect and kind authority instead of that condescension thing most adults just lean on. I appreciate the crap out of that since that's how we treat kids too. I'm freaking impressed. Constantly. I don't worry about our kid when she's with you and that means everything. Thank y'all.
