We made our decision to leave CA and took a road trip to Klamath Falls Oregon and then to Grant's Pass Oregon to find our dream retirement home. We Googled Coldwell Banker as they are a reputable real estate company, and found Homan Premier Realty in Klamath Falls. We called the main number and told the receptionist that we were looking in the $500,000 range and gave them our criteria such as bedrooms, baths, acreage, etc. We arrived for our mid-August, mid-week appointment and was greeted by a very unprofessionally attired agent - jeans and a t-shirt type top and sandals. Her hair was wet as if she had just showered but we both thought oh well... don't judge a book by it's cover. We all decided one car would be the way to go and her car was offered as the ride. Her car was an older model vehicle and as we approached noticed the windows were open... open because we were soon to find out that her air conditioner was broken and the heat was permanently on. I started to get in the back seat and she redirected me to the seat behind her since one seat belt in the back was broken. As I stepped in the car I stepped on two empty cans of soda and spilled peanuts on the floor. I jokingly said "Ahh a "kids car" to which she replied "no.. just me". Enough about aesthetics. We gave them a list of six houses we wanted to view. We did drive to six homes but only made it in to see the interior of two of them. She had no planned route and so we drove from one end of the county to the other... at LEAST three times. Several times during the ride she would point out the negatives of living in Klamath Falls, i.e. lack of shopping and almost no cultural events. When we entered the first home our agent expressed considerable awe at the furnishings and proceeded to tour the house as if SHE were the client, taking pictures with her phone and commenting on the up-scale quality of the house. She knew nothing about any of the homes she was showing except what was in the listing. As we arrived at one house a vehicle in front of us literally blocked the driveway so we could not get to the house. The agent rambled on that she new the agent in the other car and we had better leave before she (our agent) got in trouble. Rather than approach the other agent and straighten out a mix-up our agent turned around and rather swiftly retreated. When we got back to the agency, she dropped us off at the back of the building and asked us if we needed to go into the building for anything. When we replied "no" she said "good because I don't want to go in and have them see me because I would have to do so something and I'm going to leave for the day." We were disappointed with our visit to Klamath Falls having expected much much more. We went on to Grant's Pass the next day where we toured with a professional and knowledgeable agent. We had a wonderful and successful experience with a competitor of Coldwell.

The owners and management were notified of the smell coming from the apt prior but did nothing to contact the resident what so ever. If you raise concerns or issues to management they are overlooked. The building went without heat for 3 weeks in the winter, management did nothing. There is a secure access door in the front that you need a key to but yet the back of the building has no lock and missing a door knob anyone can come in. Kinda defeats the purpose of the secure building front door. Anyone looking for a rental should avoid this complex like the plague it's not worth it.

Danger for renters of Goose Lake Property Management's "Lakeview branch." A friend and I rented a…read morehome on October 1996 at 604 North "F" Street, Lakeview, OR. Things went well for a while, but in May 1997, we began experiencing hot-water heater problems, thus forcing me to remove 20 dry-wall screws from the access door to the basement of this 4-unit property (back then). Upon doing so, we discovered that the landlord and house-owner had purposely sealed the basement which was full of household trash, ANIMAL PARTS, drug paraphanalia, etc. - a real sick-house syndrome! Upon loging a complaint with the back-then owner of Goose Lake Property Mgt., we promptly received a 30-day eviction-notice on 13 June 1997, thus we left that nasty town and relocated to far-better lives down in the Owens Valley of CA. We received only half-our rental deposit back! VERY CORRUPT organization!!! We learned later that the Goose Lake Property Mgt. owner (a woman from K-Falls) had an AWFUL reputation in Lakeview for the mal-treatment of their renters, and was evidently constantly in-litigation with many of their previous clients!!! I am NOT kidding! Renter/buyer beware. We'd hoped the totally corrupt and mean-spirited company GLPM would be closed-down by now (Aug. 2013) but, NOPE they they still exist! BUYER/RENTER BEWARE!!! SpM
