I came here for some mulch to rebuild my backyard and was met by some extremely friendly staff. They helped me to pick the right stuff and guided me to the back to load up the truck. The backhoe operator loaded me up next to the monster heap and dumped it in the back of my truck and overfill went right back in the pile! The prices were fair and the mulch looks great around my trees and garden! Great customer service - I will be back...as soon as my aching back heals! read more

Contacted Lester's regarding a new paver patio. Several people in my neighborhood had used them this summer and were pleased with the work. Keith came out to quote the job and design the patio as we were going from a blah rectangle to something larger and more flowing. Very pleased with the design Keith came up with and we decided to go with them. The guys were on site within a week and it only took 3 days to complete. We are thrilled with the colors and the way the paver with the open walls look. Have gotten a number of compliments from friends and neighbors. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a new patio! read more

I understand that my driveway is narrow and there's a tree right next to it, but when the delivery truck ripped an enormous branch of my beautiful magnolia tree instead of asking me if there was another place to dump it, he not only left without apologizing, but left the giant branch completely blocking the driveway. The manager reached out to apologize and asked if they might make it up to me somehow, and agreed to transport the delivery pile to where we needed it, but we never heard back from them after that. read more

I ordered a yard of their so-called garden mix which I was told was one third sand, one third compost and one third topsoil. When it was delivered it was pretty clear that the "topsoil" was mostly clay, albeit crushed so that they clay was in small clumps about one inch wide. I definitely would never order from them again. Very difficult communication, material is good, service not so much...... I asked the stones I bought to be tailgated throughout my driveway, which is long and they said it was ok..... when I got home, they practically dumped two mountains of stones in less than a third of the driveway..... when I spoke to the person that sold me that, I was told tailgating is not a science, that this is pretty much standard, so I get to move all the stones by myself because I only agreed on letting them delivery it without me being there because I was told they could spread it along the whole driveway. read more

I have spent many years around truck drivers, specifically sand & gravel. This company is as professional as it gets. I ordered dirt in the morning, it was delivered in the afternoon and the driver was courteous and professional. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

Had someone come out in June for a quote on paver sidewalk. Never returned calls not quote.

Okay so one good thing: I ordered on a Thursday and they delivered Friday: Fast delivery. Now the bad. I asked specifically if the top soil was organic. I was told YES it will come from Kenosha and was told it would be pulverized and screened. Well the "top soil" came and the driver said it came from a farmer's field in Volo.... after it was dumped. Corn pieces all over which is a crop that has been heavily herbicided. Also I have huge huge boulder-sized solid clay clumps, lots of them. The crap was almost all clay and tons of large clay clumps. I ultimately used it to fill in ruts. I am a landscaper so I know good dirt. Go somewhere else. read more

Our brick patio was 20 years old and looking very tired. We had numerous low spots and plants and moss we're growing between the cracks. Keith stopped by and gave us a reasonable quote to perform the repairs. Early the next week his crew arrived and removed and reset ALL the pavers then power washed and sealed the patio. I asked them to come and give me a quote on a patio and Keith came and stated they would send me the quote in 2-3 days. A week later I called and someone was to call me back within a few minutes when she got off the phone. I never received a call back. A week later (2 weeks from when the estimate should have come) I receive an email with a dollar quote but no drawing. Very disappointed with the lack of a formal quote and that there was no follow up. read more

May 2012 Purchased 2 trucks of Gravel. Delivered completely different material. Product doesn't match to the information on WEB site. The worst customer service ever. Look somewhere else for your product !!! read more
