So I've had a mixed bag of experiences at this gym. The staff is fine. Depending on who you get,…read moresometimes you have a little bit of a friendly personality versus others. The thing that really bothers me about this place is the cloniness factor. It does look like some of the machines haven't been wiped down thoroughly. The water dispenser was running really slow for the most important part, hydration, in between different segments of your workout. It was actually infernally slow. They did get that fixed, but then the bathroom sinks seem to be a problem now. The water is barely a trickle out of any of the faucets. It didn't seem like the air dryers were properly working all the time. Soap dispensers weren't letting out soap. It just seems like this place is on the verge of, in these areas, falling flat on its face. I also was not aware of the limit on the time to take my personal training sessions. I'd gotten backed up with my trainer, who had previously been at Blink and then left due to some health issues at the beginning of the year. I took a break as I was concentrating on employment needs and whatnot. Life got in the way. When I went back, I found out that the four sessions that I should have had left had basically expired. I didn't look at the wording or anything on the training sessions. I was going to go back and check it out, but just really, I felt like this is ridiculous. There were no reminders, no outreach from my trainer left to get me hooked up with another trainer. It's like they intended for me to forget, like they think about the monthly membership. Whether you pay or not, it doesn't matter if you show up in this case. I was looking forward to taking these sessions and getting acclimated to a new trainer, but they didn't seem interested in that relationship. I ended up cancelling my membership because I do have a benefit that's coming up where I can attend the gym and have it paid for, much like at my previous employer. I will go back because, as I said, the staff is decent and everyone that I've met there has been nice. It's just these things that support a good gym experience, like: - running water that works to a good effect so that you can get your bottles filled in a timely fashion - having soap and working bathroom facilities Also, I would say it would be great if they were able to add the expense of having towels there. Of course, if that were done, I'm sure that would hike up the price another $5. I guess we'll take our wins where we can, but it just seems like this is the very bare bones minimum that you can get. It would be nice to have some competition to see if we could kind of get the service side of things amped up a little bit. On the machine front, it seems like everything's working pretty much fine most of the time, so that's a good thing. You can come in here and get your work out, no fuss, no muss. I've been there at all times, and I haven't really felt like I was crowded out, although I definitely know there are times like that where it seems like that from the outside. Overall, I would say on that front it's a pleasant experience for sure. I gave it a lower rating to make it, I hope, an average middle score. I was originally going to give it two stars, but I think, because of the fact that you can get a good workout and overall the condition of the place is pretty decent, I would say that it's a good option for the neighborhood.

This gym is constantly filthy, bathrooms, workout equipment, everything. Water dispenser never…read moreworks right and always shows it needs a filter replaced. Some staff attempt to clean, most are standing around doing nothing in groups. No sanitary wipes in any dispensers today, no soap in the bathroom, I mean come on, I know it's a discount gym but wtf. Oh yeah, bring your earbuds cause all they play is the same station with heavy, bass pumpin' rap. Try and diversify a bit for your clientele! I'd give 0 stars if I could.

That excitement was extremely short lived. At one point during my visit there was a guy being trained on the Pilates reformer, the step class AND a separate strength training class in ONE TINY room with no separation. As you can see in the photo those in the step class are steps from the reformers. So distracting!!! The conversation and commentary from the other classes were louder than the music at most times and they weren't even loud...they were just 5 steps away and the music was being played on a small google home. If you don't have the space and equipment to offer your customers the experience they are paying for why offer the class?? If I hadn't paid money to take this class this experience would just have been comically bad but I did. So unacceptable and cheap!

She truly understands bio-mechanics and how the body and mind work together. After suffering with lower back pain for years, and 3 rounds of Physical therapy with no improvement I switched over to Pilates and the improvements have been amazing. Switching from what I call "normal" Pilates to Alyssa was a HUGE step up. My herniated disc has caused my glutes to not fire correctly in certain movements which exacerbates back pain. Working with Alyssa has really helped my brain to help fire the glutes properly. Look bottom line is, she is not your standard Pilates instructor. Alyssa goes way beyond that. She's like a master of understanding the body. If you're a serious athlete, suffer from some form of pain, or just simply want to improve you're bodies functions and feel stronger in a way no other workout can do, Evolve and Elevate is perfect for you.

Under her guidance, from 2,000 miles away, I've seen consistent improvement in my strength and overall performance in the gym. If I could stop eating like a wild animal who doesn't know when they will see their next meal, I could probably be doing even better, but hey, I have young kids so lay off me. But that's also the reason Brit is great. I have young kids and I don't have a lot of time to be in the gym or think about my program. Brit makes the programs easy to follow and understand. Through her app, everything is laid out for me. I don't even have to think about it until I get into the gym that day. Every week is scheduled in advance. She checks in routinely and is regularly asking for feedback on how the workouts are going. There is also a level of accountability which I love. Brit really is a champion and a motivator--even from a distance.

Coach Drew at Transformation Fitness changed my life. I saw amazing results in just 6 weeks, finished his 12-week challenge feeling significantly stronger, and recently signed on to continue training here this year. I am now 122 lbs and 26% body fat! My ultimate flex was fitting back into an engagement skirt on New Years Eve that I haven't worn since 2021! Why this gym is different: - The Workouts: Classes are 1 hour, energizing, and incredibly easy to follow. You can go at your own pace and strength level without feeling pressured. - The Nutrition Plan: 80% of losing weight is what you eat, not just working out. Drew provides you with a plan and I kept reminding myself his mantra "if it's not on the list it doesn't exist." I got through the weeks buying only food on his list and even when I attended holiday parties I told friends and family, "sorry, if it's not on the list it doesn't exist." - The Atmosphere: Zero judgment. The music is great, the energy is high, and the people are genuinely friendly. I've met a few girlfriends in the short time I was there. - The Logistics: This was great for an educator like me. I showered immediately after my 6 AM workout and headed straight to work. Transformation Fitness even provides all the shower basics (soap, shampoo, towel), so you don't have to. Overall, you need discipline to reach your goals, but Drew's accountability made the impossible feel easy. If you want a supportive environment that actually delivers results, this is it.

We arrived early at 8:50 AM, and my friend sent us the VIP guest pass link. I completed everything, signed the waiver online, received a QR code, and went to the front desk to scan it. At that point, we were stopped by two employees who said we still needed to speak with a representative to sign another waiver and take a photo. I explained that I had already completed the waiver online, but was told we had to do another one in person. When I asked when a representative would be available, I was told not until 10:00 AM. So let me get this straight -- we were specifically told to come at 9:00 AM, completed the online process exactly as instructed, and still couldn't access the gym because no representative was available for another hour? This was a complete waste of time and incredibly poor customer service. The process is confusing, poorly communicated, and the staff gave inconsistent information. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this experience guaranteed I won't be coming back.

This was especially apparent when they made the switch to eSporta back several years ago, which is just a lower cost branding of LA fitness. They eventually reverted this branding back to LA fitness but the effects of these transitions remained - with a lower cost model of 10$ a month, the gym was more packed than ever before, leading to a dirtier and messier environment to which staff just couldnt keep up and probably stopped caring at some point As someone who primarily weight lifts, the state of the facility and staff feels like it retained those same conditions to this day. Dumbbells are still all over the place and hard to find, barbells are missing, 2.5 pounders are more scarce than ever, the same stairmaster machine has been under maintenance for forever, there is a lack of attachments and theyre old and also hard to find, the list goes on There are 4 flat benches, 2 incline and 1 decline. 3 squat racks and 6 adjustable benches. With these numbers and such a large number of patrons, youre always gonna be waiting for equipment with especially long wait times at peak hours after work. I would suggest going after 8pm when things are more calm While I recognize that you get what you pay for and shouldnt have higher expectations for public commercial gyms, ive gone to other la fitness locations in the city where i have had comparatively better quality experiences for my workouts, and while its not always sunshines and rainbows either, the Pershing location sits lower on the scale for me PS: the court inside is permanently volleyball, no basketball at this location!

I will start by saying I have met Mike and I do think he is a good guy. He is out for others well being and wants to help however the end goal of the gym is to make money. The story; my cousin and I bought a groupon for 3 personal training classes. We met with a guy named Andrew H.; one of Mike's trainers. Andrew worked us out good and at the end of the third session Andrew and Mike both asked my cousin if we want to continue and we said no because the gym is not what we wanted. Mike let it go but Andrew then reached out to us and said he would train us at our homes, use our gyms; he gave us a killer deal and we started working out with him. The story gets good when Andrew gets a check from my cousin and cashes it in but then signs her up for a travel company called World Ventures/ VacationSooner.com and he starts taking endless amounts of money out of her accounts. He basically took the checking information and played with all her accounts. She was able to close one account out but then realized she got hit with the same charges on another account. The banks and credit teams gave her Andrew's name and said he is the one taking all the money out of her accounts and he now has the fraud and police after him. Long story short, you will get a killer workout here, there is no question there but pay with cash; you never know who will take your money from the gym. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with banks and crazy people that don't know how to respect their employer or their clients. Needless to say - we fired Andrew two weeks in because he had more excuses then we could take. Bottom line just be careful; pay with a cash and learn from us do not sign up for personal training classes; you will get cheated!
