Got takeout and had great experience. The nice gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant! I ordered the Levant Shawarma and the Chicken Pita (for my husband) and side of Hummus and pita bread. All was soo good! The meat was delicious and the rice was good. Was not a fan of the Couscous Salad though. But, the pita bread was so soft and great tasting with the hummus! Will be back!

The food was fresh and tasted really good. We were offered their spicy red sauce for falafel and told it wasn't spicy. Personally found it too spicy for my taste buds. Baklava was okay. The ambience was great and we were grateful for the outside seating. Staff was quite friendly.

Ordered lunch from here recently and was super impressed with the food. I got the bowl and picked chicken as my protein and had tons of options to pick from for my toppings. Everything had some much flavor and tasted so fresh! I am very excited to order from here again.

We were looking for something different for dinner and came across the Levant Halal Mediterranean Cafe. It was a great introduction to Lebanese cuisine. I had the Mediterranean Shawarma with couscous salad, lentils, grilled veggies, and moshuasha as sides. It was delicious. My wife had the Chicken Shawarma bowl, with rice, potatoes, hummus, and Lebanese salad. We couldn't eat all of the meal, and had lots let for lunch the next day. We will definitely be back.

Really solid spot for Mediterranean food! I love that their menu is so customizable, so you can just mix and match for whatever you're feeling in the moment. The Levant shawarma is so delicious, and I love that they load up everything with their tahini and garlic sauce. The pickled red onions go really well with the meat. And I love their lemon mint drink - so so addicting and refreshing!

Really enjoyed my visit here. I was craving some fresh Mediterranean, and this was one I had saved for a while. Really glad I made the trip. Service was excellent and very helpful. The place itself was a good size and very nice. I tried the mint lemonade as well and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfect and flavors were great. 10/10 for me! Can't wait to come try more.

    Yummy!

My favorite Mediterranean restaurant. The atmosphere is bright and clean. The staff friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious. My daughter is vegan and can always find lots of things to eat. Best beets ever! The drink selection is phenomenal!!

Wow! I love Levant so much! The food is absolutely fantastic. Years and years ago, I had a long-term boyfriend who was Syrian, and I was fortunate enough to enjoy all of the wonderful foods made by his Sittu (grandmother). Well, let me tell you, eating at Levant, I felt as though I were back in Sitty's kitchen again. I had the chicken kebab with rice and tabbouleh, and the flavors just screamed Syria! The chicken was juicy and seasoned so well that if you close your eyes, you would be transformed to another land while nibbling every morsel. I don't like it when tabbouleh is oversaturated with lemon juice, causing it to be bitter. They got the flavor balance of all of the ingredients just right. I tell you if I could, I would eat there every day. It's such a healthy way to eat. The portions are large. I had leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant feels new, sparkling, and immaculately clean. The employees are so genuinely sweet, nice, and appreciative.

We had a large family gathering at Lavant Café and Grill on a weekday evening. We were sat right away. Their menu is amazing. The person behind the counter was amazing with suggestions of what to order. We loved the hummus and the falafel appetizers I got the chicken Shawarma bowl. It was absolutely amazing. The kids loved all the drinks in the glass bottles. We had such a great time and would come back over and over.

Build a bowl - enough for leftovers. Pretty colors and fresh ingredients

The service was great- I walked right up and went down the line right away and the staff was nice and helpful. The ingredients looked very fresh and the taste did not disappoint. So many options to mix and match the bowls, which are great value with big portions. I'll gladly return.

Delivery to work! Amazing bread and chicken shawarma with baba ghanoush! I haven't had any that I liked from when I was in the Middle East but this one made it to my top list! Recommended!

Great food. Very fast delivery. The chicken schwarma and kabobs are excellent. Grilled vegetables are an excellent side.

Pricey but good! Would like larger portions based on price especially just getting a side of something, they are very small for $5.

Are there vegan options on the menu and if so are they labeled?

Yes! There are plenty of vegan options. Sides in particular :)

    Do you guys cater?

I was actually talking to the owner last week, they do indeed do catering orders.

    Is it Syrian food?

We ate there a few weeks ago and talked to the owner. He was born in Syria and raised in Israel. It's certainly mid-eastern, I'm not sure that it's Syrian specifically, but he would know. We thought it was very good. He seems to have…

Are any of the meats gluten free? I know many gyro meats have breads added.

We don’t serve gyros We serve shawarma all our meat & sauce is gluten free

Can you confirm if all the meats and chicken are halal or only certain?

    Yes, they are. (Kosher)

The customer service is always amazing across all the employees, but especially the nice older guy. I have ordered their lamb gyros, which are always on point with huge servings. One of the few meals I actually like uncooked tomatoes in. The tzatziki sauce is so perky, it compliments the seasoning of the extremely flavorful and tender lamb perfectly. The Gyro Plate was one of the first "bigger" meals that I got. It tasted heavenly and was worth the extra price from the gyro wrap. It was my first experience with their hummus, which is some of the best I've ever had. I brought some home to my family because they sell tubs of hummus to go (for a similar price to what you could get at HEB, actually, and much better) and they ate it all within minutes. This has been a regular thing too. During lent I would order a lentil soup, pita, and falafel side that totaled at just under $6. This is an incredible price for how good it is. The falafels are genuinely the best falafels I have ever tried, crispy (but not hard) on the outside, and fluffy (not soggy) on the inside. Flavor was amazing. Just last week I ordered a lamb kebab plate. Folks, be prepared if you order this. This meal is HUGE. The lamb was heavenly, and I was really happy that they grilled the kebabs with some onions and peppers, really added flavor. The kebabs are made to order, so they're always fresh. Its worth the wait fellas. Come back and give this one a try if you're not rushed. Can I also mention they gave me a free soda on this one? What a nice restaurant! They're always quick except for kebabs (but give 'em the grace because its fresh cooking). 10/10 restaurant, give it a shot!

I decided to order a mini Persian feast: the beef koobideh with rice, doogh yogurt drink, and a saffron ice cream for dessert. This was my first time trying beef koobideh, and unfortunately, this just didn't seem to be very good. The meat itself was okay, decently cooked, and topped with quite a lot of some spice that I can't quite put my finger on. It was okay. The rice though, that is what really disappointed me. Persian rice is usually amazing, but this really didn't seem traditional and it had a strange taste to it. It also came with onion and a grilled tomato, both solid additions. Good portion though. The doogh yogurt drink wasn't homemade like I had hoped, but in all honesty, it still really hit the spot on a hot Austin day. Reasonable price. The saffron rice was also fairly disappointing. Large white chunks (clotted cream maybe? But they were pretty tasteless), gritty texture, not much flavor. Just not really worth it. All in all, a bit of a disappointing dinner in Austin. I'll have to look for a different Persian spot next time I'm in the area.

Parking is plentiful right in front of the restaurant. We came by on a Saturday around 1 PM, worried it might be packed, but it was actually pretty quiet. You can sit anywhere you like, grab a plate, and pay when you're done. The space is large and open, with three full rows of food and drinks plus a dedicated station for fruit and desserts. Everything was fresh, not overly salty, and there were plenty of options. My favorites were the hummus with eggplant (so flavorful with great texture), the salad and cucumber salad (fresh and refreshing), the dolma (perfectly done), gyro (tender and tasty), baked cauliflower (so good), fried chicken (juicy, crispy, and not salty), falafel (extra crunchy), and the lentil soup (simple but delicious). And don't miss their coffee at the checkout--it has a hint of warm spice and is the perfect finish after a meal. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the vegetable dishes even more than the meats. Overall, yes, $26 per person is on the higher side (what doesn't cost these days, right?!), but it's a great spot to try a variety of Mediterranean dishes that are fresh, simply seasoned, and let the ingredients shine--perfect whether you're new to the cuisine or just want a bit of everything.
