I have to confess, I'm not that big a fan of Mediterranean food overall but Levant might very well change my mind overall. The flavors are punchy and fresh, which is what I associate with the cuisine and feels healthy to boot. It's also super close to the neighborhood where I live, so grabbing a quick lunch couldn't be easier. Custom bowls are my favorite lunch time option and there's plenty to choose from. I got a chicken shawarma bowl with fattoush (salad), babaganoush (eggplant spread), moussaka (baked eggplant), grilled veggies and a pita over rice and everything was fantastic from top to bottom. What a great gem! We enjoy good Mediterranean food but this has to come to the top of the list. Friendly service, fresh delicious food and definitely on the list to return quite often! The meats are moist, the sides are fresh and so delicious, makes you want to take another bite even when you are full. The bonus has to be the pita bread that comes with the meal. My advice, buy the extra pita or two to wipe clean your plate. The pita is so soft and fluffy! Never had pita like that and it makes the meal so much better. We ordered via UberEats. The food was delightful and even better than I was expecting! The jalepeno hummus is creamy and satisfying with just a touch of heat. We tried two of the special breads and were amazed by how good they were! The mezze platter- we picked 6 vegan options and they were all very flavorful and satisfying. I loved the Baba Ganoush, the Lebanese potatoes and the Massouka. The falafel was probably the best I've had in years- not too hard or crisp, flavorful and with a delicious dipping sauce. I had a taste for Mediterranean cuisine and figured I would try a local spot. I'm very glad I found this place because I got what I came for. The menu is posted on the wall when entering and is detailed. The staff can answer any questions and they are flexible with substitutes. I ordered a pita sandwich with lamb and beef. I wish I had asked to hold the tahini but I still ate it. The fries were fresh and the Tabbouleh salad was refreshing and filling. The cashier suggested purchasing the seasoned naan bread and it was the best suggestion! I prefer my lamb sliced versus chopped and I don't like tahini but I plan to give this place another trip to try some of the plated options with the grilled veggies. read more

Went here last night on a friends recommendation. However The shawarma here is not something worth recommending. It's bland and extremely greasy. The side of rice I got was barely enough and the fries were thick and undercooked inside. The meat was tough and undercooked but charred. The price was more than any other place - $17 The ambience is okay but the music is too loud. The guy couldn't even get my order right with all the loud music playing. Overall this was the first and last time I will be coming here. No wonder the place was empty when we were there. read more

Fourth visit or so...where does the time go? This time on Presidents Day for lunch, or rather a late lunch. As always, the service is friendly and the place is kept very clean. Once again I had the Chicken Shawarma, and it was excellent as always, made fresh to order. My trusted dining companion had the bowl, which allows you to choose a selection of ingredients, her's was with the mixed makaly, falafel. Among the items selected were the Yalanji, which were delicious ( it was the only item on her dish I tasted as I was busy with mine). My companion loved her food, never been disappointed with any of the selections. Next time I promise to broaden my palate, but did want folks to know that the food is excellent and consistent, and the service and hospitality is great! read more

We love Mediterranean food & just had to check out this new restaurant. We were greeted warmly as we stepped in the door. As you come inside there is a large menu on the wall. We decided on the bowls We chose our protein, then base, then toppings & sauce. We picked the Levant kofta kabab as our protein. Was a delicious mix of ground beef & lamb w/ onion, garlic, parsley & Mediterranean spices. Everything was fantastic. We had the opportunity to visit w/the owner & enjoyed talking to him. The mezze platter was enough for three meals. Outrageous. The place is CLEAN. Like spotless clean. Wonderful. When one of your favorite waitresses at your favorite restaurant who's father is the chef, recommends a new place, just Go. I did just that. LeVant is located in one of the small strip malls in front of Randalls/Gold Gym. They have a small outdoor seating area in front and a large indoor seating area. Upon walking in, turn left to a huge wall mounted menu. I personally recommend viewing their menu online. A crowd starts to build in the menu location. I'm not going to lie, the menu is so large it can be confusing. The menu is divided into four sections: Plate with entrée and two or three sides and bread, Bowl of grain topped with entrée and some sides and sauce, Wraps, and sides. This restaurant is a family owned independent place and it shows. The friendly, helpful nature of everyone I encountered working there was evident. After the menu area, comes the displays of all the hot items, then the cold items. I place my order with the man who I believe is the owner. Kofta stuffed pita and a side of Lebanese salad. I was passed onto who I believe is the daughter who made my salad. She first asked if I wanted the small side and drink for $3. or the medium salad for $4.99. I took the medium. We chatted for a bit and was moved to the cashier. (I believe the cashier is another relative.) I paid and made my way to the drink area. Filled my glass with ice and iced tea. I happened to notice the soft drinks are organic. I know, right. Never thought of organic soft drinks. I left to find myself a seat. The salad is fresh and consists of romaine, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, and a dry mint lemon dressing. It was a little too minty for me but good. The owner came and delivered my kofta pita. It smelled delicious. The first bite and heavenly. I want to know how they manage to keep their kofta so moist inside. Mine because of the lean lamb is always dry. The wrap was loaded with vegetables and sauce. If you need more sauce, there are containers next to the drink area. I finished my pita but not my salad. They brought me a to go container. Next time I go (Oh, yes, count on me returning.) I'll try the lamb shank and perhaps some dessert. read more

First time here and we are so happy we tried this place! After driving by several times we looked at all the great reviews on Yelp and decided we needed to give it a try. Oh boy, we were not disappointed! The food was super tasty. From the smoky, garlicky babaganoush dip and soft, fluffy pita bread to the saucy chicken shawarma, it was aaalll good. We ordered 2 entrees that each come with 2 sides and a pita: The chicken shawarma and the Levant shawarma (beef and lamb meat) and they were both nicely spiced. For our sides we had the Beets salad (steamed fresh beets are really delicious and these were perfection), the babaganoush (smoky puréed eggplant dip with garlic, olive oil and spices), the Israeli cous cous (which are the bigger cous cous and pasta like in texture) and the happy chickpea salad (aka garbanzo beans with parsley and feta cheese and more). I love the idea of this place, but the execution is flawed. They have tons of options for a build-your-own Mediterranean bowl/plate, but their displayed menu is confusing and hard to understand. Luckily, a manager was there and helped explain, but it was still overwhelming - pick your base but a base can also be a protein for vegetarians or you can do 1/2 and 1/2 bases, then pick your protein, then pick 4 toppings which can be anything from base to proteins to toppings. Huh? After lots of questions, and lots of patient help from the manager, we made our way to the end of the line, paid, and the warm food was delivered to us shortly. We enjoyed the food itself, and were glad to have guidance on what to select (don't get this salad, you already have too many tahini-based things).
